“I purchased my wise driving policy a couple of days before I passed my test. I originally had a provisional license and it coat £150 deposit and £53 a month. Once I passed my test, I changed the details online and it didn't change my premium. I had my box installed two days before I passed my test. I have since had my full license 11 days and my driving score is 100. I am looking forward to my premium reducing. I will add that in a 26-year-old woman, mother to three kids and wife. I had my provisional license since I was 17. Wise Driving works for me and each time I have called them, they have been polite and professional. I hope they continue to be for the remainder of my policy.”

“Would rate 1 star they was going to cancel my policy because they could not find my job title went on confused and done a quote with my job title and guess who have me a quote wise driving got a return premium in my 1st w months of driving my score at 73 it's since gone up to 80 since my return and every month I get nothing back from them I cannot wait till I can change insurance”

“Cancelled my insurance within 10 days of renewal, but they charged me £75 cancellation fee and £30 commission , used £15 worth of insurance. I refused to pay and now i'm taking them to the ombudsman.”

“AVOID. Poor communication, loads of hidden charges and an absolute nightmare to cancel the policy, the company is using your card details to take payments whenever they want. Charged me 500 for canceling the policy, send debt collectors to me after only 3 days and when I set the payment plan with dc WISEDRIVING took the debt from my account without my permission. SCAM SCAM SCAM.”

“absolutely terrible communication, call the WiseDriving Installation team on 01213321226 and you will never hear anyone no matter how long you stay on the phone, you are left with a looped message. TERRIBLE”

“WOULDNT EVEN GIVE THE 1* RATING. ABSOLUTE SHOCKING COMPANY. CANCELLED MY INSURANCE AFTER 3 WEEKS BECAUSE THEY SAID I WAS LYING AND DIDNT CONTACT THE BLACK BOX INSTALLATION TEAM WHEN I DID ALSO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT BUT HAD TO HAVE A EXTENSION THERE ALL RUDE AND DONT CARE ABOUT WHAT YOUR TRYING TO SAY. I PAID A £321 DEPOSIT AND THEYVE TOLD ME THEY ARE GOING TO TAKE THE £133 THIS MONTH FOR MY INSURANCE WHEN IVE TAKEN ALL MONEY OUT MY ACCOUNT THERE ALL MONEY GRABBERS. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY JUST BECAUSE OF LOW DEPOSIT READ THE REVIEWS. “Didn't even get to the point where the telematics box could be fitted. Shocking customer service from the start. Expect to be on hold for a minimum of 30 minutes every time you try to call them. Had emails sent telling me my policy would be cancelled despite me having a date confirmed for the installation and then when I asked to cancel it within the cooling off period they refused to waive the £75 charge. Only way to get through to them is if you select option 2 and pretend you are a new customer.”

“Not so-wise driving. AVOID at all costs. They are a joke of a company, the engineer who fitted the black box took a blurry photo of my v5c, which meant that wise driving needed me to send them it. They e mailed me but I did not see the email until it was too late. The idiots cancelled my policy with no warning, not even a letter through the post beforehand! So now I am over £400 down and struggling to get a new policy because of the cancellation. Do not use.”

“Cheap quote But you will get stung for some extras ! Including fitting the box ( there box ) If you cancel early it will cost you £120 in admin fee !!!! Really”

“If I could give these guys a lesser rating I would give that But here's my experience with these cons. I took out the policy mid 2016 with a quote from comparethemarket , which at the time I thought it would be quiet straight forward since they were on there. But anyways at the start everything was fine but a couple of months down the line they boosted my premium from£178 up to £246 which is outrageous since I had a corsa 1.2 but anyways I carried on paying it then thought I could get a new car so went to seat and bought a seat Ibiza 1.0 and asked how much it would be for a change of vehicle, which they said it would be £925!! Which I paid and then just recently I was told that I would be given a couple of extra days to make payment since I was on On monthly instalments. Then when I actually had enough money bearing in mind I'm a full time student , I called up to make payment and told My policy has been cancelled and nothing in the world could be done to change that If you want to keep your money and live stress free then completely avoid this company as they are the worst you'll ever come across”

“Absolutely crap I swear to god it's crap My brothers and sisters pls do not go for it. I heartily say it's bullshit, it's a scam. My insurance was initially 289 a month then it went up to 489 in the ther month without any notice. Pls guys don't go for it The box is a scam too it ruins your car”

“I was a bit weary about using Wise Driving from reading reviews, especially based on customer service. I saw the 5* and 4* reviews following hundreds of 1*, however I couldn't be sure they were genuine. PRE BOX FITTING- One thing that has made this process slightly easier for me, was their customer service. They were happy to help & reduce my payments for me when I needed to (prior to any box being fitted). I didn't want interest to be added to my payments, they let me pay in full, change some details on my policy after it had started & wavered the £35 admin fee. So far, I cant complain too much (yes the deposit was a little high), organising the box installation was easy- they called me & they asked availability and booked around me... The only downside was 1 person in the call centre basically called me a liar, which I didn't appreciate, however the other people I have dealt with have been superb. Advice for everyone out there- make sure you spend the time finding out each separate charge, why it can be charged, how to avoid it etc. I think the quality of Wise Driving perhaps shouldn't be confused with Close Brother Finance, who are a "loan" company adding interest to payments. I will update my review following a few months with the box- fingers crossed.”

“Attention !!! A complete rip-off company. Don't go for them because they are cheap on your quote online it's a scam. They have stolen 250£ from me and I made my insurance just a week ago. The box thingy it's another way the con people, you get it and they check how you drive and next month they double your premium. Don't ever go with them cause if you do you will regret it.”

“Just got an email from these idiots i cancel my policy 3 days after paying my monthly instalment of 239 pound and got told ill end up having most of that back now there saying i owe the. Another 402 pound??? What can i do”

“Would rate them 0 if it was possible, absolute scam of a company, phoned up to cancel my insurance with them after a year as I could find cheaper insurance elsewhere and they have charged me £310! O not take insurance out with them! ! They are money grabbing and have hidden charges which they do not state. Total rip off!!!!!”

“I would no go with this company for the simple reason they say they base your payments on how well you drive which in my case was true until my renewal. My driving score was 95 the first few months and I got a discount after the first month which was all good. Now my renewal is coming up and I received an email telling me due to my driving score of 97 my new payments will be 139 per month which has more than doubled and is a lot more than my original payment before my discount was applied at the beginning of my policy. When I phoned to ask about it the woman couldn't explain why and told me it definatly wasn't to do with my driving as it has always been excellent. So this company is just a pure con they do not insure you based on your driving score its a bloody joke.”
