Only insured with wise driving for a short period, I then cancelled the policy as I found a cheaper and better quote, spoke to the customer service team who was fine and everything was cancelled, I they receive a letter about an upstanding balance which is just over half of what I paid, let alone I've only been with them for 2 weeks and paid around £250 and they now want another £130 for what ever reason, I wouldn't advise this company due to there greed because i paid for the first 2 months of the policy, cancelled within 2 weeks and now they want more, all there care about is taking your money, this was 2 and half years ago and is still on going, would not advise this insurance unless you got money to throw away

What a cheek I've just had a call about my son owing £6, after they robbed him of £250, and no policy i would not recommend this company at all

still trying to resolve the issues which is detailed in the previous reviews which are in my name. Every time I leave a review the company ask me to contact them to resolve but calls and emails go unanswered. the company cannot even give a reason why they are charging me an extra £937 4 months into my policy. this company sounds good but is ruined by pure greed and their customer service is the worst I have experienced, I hate to think what they would be like if you had to make a claim on the policy. I am now having to look for insurance with a different company as they have decided to terminate my policy again they cannot give a reason. my son put his life saving into his insurance only to be totally ripped off and now £2000 out of pocket. I intent to take this matter to the financial ombudsman and contact trading standards, I will also be posting on social media to warn everyone I can to avoid this company at all costs, If you see my message please forward to all of your friends as you could be the next victim of WiseDriving

Following a previous review on this website wisecracking asked me to contact them privately to resolve the issue only person available to speak to me was a call centre advisor who could not tell me why they wanted an extra £937 four months into my policy but if I didn't pay it my insurance will be cancelled in 24 hours time . Dealing with them is impossible they are just out to Rob you of every penny. When they tell you how much your policy will be they will contact you 4 months in to demand more money if you don't pay they charge a lot of additional cancellation fees . This matter is now going to be reported to the financial ombudsmen who is apparently very familiar with how they operate. Do not loose all of your money like I have they are out to Rob people and won't stop until your pockets are empty

Update on dispute with wisecracking Received email following last review i placed telling me to contact Vikki roffe immediately in private so the matter could be rectified which I did could not talk to me but promised to ring back within 2 hours which never materialised spoke to ride customer service advisor who could not give a reason why they were taking the additional £937 to stop the policy from been cancelled , they said a previous claim by an additional drive hadn't been declared but when I pointed out that the details of the claim is in black and white on the policy proving that full disclosure was given she said she could see the details but the policy would be cancelled anyway and costs for cancellation would also be added meaning that they will rob me of over £2500. Please do not use this company as they will fleece you of every penny you have. Please read all of the other reviews they say the same. No choice now but to report the matter to the financial ombudsman. I will update tomorrow when I have spoken to a senior manager

My price got upped to an extra £400 to park my car outside my boyfriends house twice a week. Everyone was so unhelpful when speaking on the phone. All they cared about was wether he drove my car or not on my insurance policy. My car has only been insured with the company for 3 months and i already know I will NOT be renewing with the company and will tell everybody I know not to use the company. Absolute joke

Purchased insurance and fully disclosed a claim that the additional driver on the policy had previously had, her car had been stolen from a public car park and was involved in an accident, answered all of there questions and paid the £2000 for the insurance. 3 months later they contacted me to say I did not disclose everything and I had to pay an extra £937. I rang and queried this to be told they had reviewed it and believed it was my fault the car was stolen so it they were classing it as a own fault claim, when I asked for an explanation they just said that was it was and their was nothing that could be done. they are now cancelling my policy on Wednesday leaving me £2000 out of pocket. I am taking this up with the Financial Ombudsman to assist in trying recover some of the money . AVOID THIS COMPANY AS IT WILL ROB YOU

This company are horrific caused me nothing but problems and around 500 pounds in fines that weren’t mine!! Faulty black box put into my car, stated I drove over 2000 miles in 2 months, & also driving recklessly , then after about 10 phone calls lasting 1 hour & also lots of pictures sent to prove that I had only Driven roughly 300 miles they came and replaced my box (even the engineer said that the box voucher code must be linked to another driver ). my score then went back up to 85-100% after scoring as little as 5% (surprise surprise). Although it shows the black box is faulty they now want me to pay £297 & threatening to cancel my policy, shocking customer service, I am so angry and can not wait for my Insurance to end!! They will rip you off , stay clear!!!!!!!!

You have consistently failed to address box issues we have clearly evidenced problems sending you photographs of mileage which your dashboard is 2 thousand miles in excess of correct mileage numerous calls .All of your departments collude for shame on you for exploiting young drivers STAY WELL CLEAR Of THIS ORGANISATION THEY ARE SHARKS go to an honest insurance company even if they are slightly higher premiums

My monthly payments changed to an amount I never agreed on!!!!! And i think it’s disgusting how they sneak it upon you after you’ve took out the insurance

Young drivers be warned. Do not under any circumstances take out car insurance with this company. Use a reputable organisation and dont be fooled by savings. If I could give them a nought rating I would.

So annoyed with wise driving!!!!! Charged me £300 deposit for insurance which i had for 2 weeks and there charging me for the time I've been insured on top of that. I've been charged a further £45 for missing a box insulation when there where 3 adults in the house, they couldn't find my address so buggered off!!! And being charge £75 cancellation fee for not having it fitted... Been trying to get hold of them for 3 day! After being told they would contact me on Monday and they didn't. This company are a JOKE! Wouldn't wish this on my worse enemy i'm now £400 down and can't afford another deposit for more insurance. There customer service is shocking all these people care about is money! DO NOT USE THEM!!!😡😡😡😠 had new wheels and a sticker on the car so they refused to fit it -.-

DO NOT USE THEM! ZERO STARS. My son has had this insurance for around 6 weeks. Had a black box fitted which is dreadful, his acceleration and braking score shows 0 !!!! How is this possible!! AND UNRELIABLE and dysfunctional. So this means that his overall score is less than 30, (it has to be 30 or over) He then receives a message saying his policy will be cancelled! He went out on Saturday night and returned at half midnight and his "time and place" score went from excellent to Very Poor overnight! How many 18 year olds will be home tucked up in bed at 11pm EVERY Saturday night!! its cruel and demoralising. Getting through on the phone is virtually impossible and I was even hung up on twice in one day! The portal is inacurate, the "important messages" don't have a date when an "event" occurred! He then had an "extreme speeding alert" which I just happened to find after about half an hour working out how the portal works! Even the man who came to fit the box was very rude and miserable. Unless you log onto the portal every day checking things, you will never now that you have messages (with no dates) or threats to cancel your policy within 7 days!I am going to cancel. The Co Op insurance is cheaper than these people and I've researched their black box and is much better and accurate. No curfews after 11pm etc.

I insured my car back in February with this company and by April I had received an email advising me they will be reducing my premium. Obviously I was really impressed by this and couldn’t stop telling people about how good the company is. Recently I got a new car and changed the details which costs me £177.00 to fit a new box, which I thought t was only going to be £120 but anyway I paid it. When installing my new box I received a call from the engineer 07:50 in the morning so I was I was getting ready for work and missed the call. I then called the number back half an hour later but no answer. After that I had received a call to book another appointment which was fine. Today I receive a call from WiseDriving advising me that they had fitted a faulty box in my car and wanted to re-book for next while I was at work, so I said yes and booked straight away. I then come home after speaking with customer services and found that I had been posted a letter from Close Brothers finance advising WiseDriving had asked them to increase my monthly direct debit to another £10 extra a month. When calling customer services I spoke to a girl called Mellisa. I then asked Melissa if they could look into removing the missed appointment fee as I now have to take time out of my job to make sure they fit a working box in my car. Mellisa asked to put me on hold and ask a manager to which I was fine to wait. 6 minutes later Melissa came back and advised this fee was given to me by the installing company who are self employed engineers. I then asked Melisa why the letter states ‘WiseDriving has asked us to increase your monthly payments by...’ Mellisa couldn’t answer me and proceeded to advise me hey could not help me. So now I’ve spent £222 in the last 2 weeks and all I get is ‘I’m sorry but we can’t help you’ even though they have fitted a faulty box, lied and passing the blame on to the istallation company (even if the letter states WiseDriving has asked them to increase the monthly instalments) and now I have to take time off work to get the box installed because of their error. So to some things up, be careful of this company because they clearly like to pass the blame and not help you.

Shocking service, shocking call centre operatives on hold for ten minutes just trying to get through, documents not being sent by the installer resulting in problems absolutely shocking service would advise people to stay away

Firstly I am very disappointed that WiseDriving use Reevoo to try to pretend they are a good company - only selected people can fill out reviews on Reevoo so despite having had a policy with them I was unable too! Obviously bias. I cancelled my policy as they would not extend their 14 day box installation policy by one day to allow for the Easter break. I have to give 4 weeks notice to take time off work and can't park at work. I am off Fridays but the installation company couldn't do the first Friday, the next one was easter Friday and they were off so it was booked in for the following Friday. Would have been installed less than 24 hours after their deadline but they wouldn't budge. Had 21 days previously with another company which was no problem. Terrible customer service, take ages to reply to emails and I was on hold for an average of 35 minutes each time I rang. Terrible company that probably won't last long.

Lack of flexibility is extremely disappointing! Tried changing my car on my current policy to a newer model only to be told the underwriter for Wise Driving won't accept the change. Yet, when i go to comparison websites for quotes wise driving offers me a quote for the same car. Why would you offer me a quote on comparison websites but refuse to offer a quote through a simple vehicle change on my current policy?? Only options you gave me were to cancel my current policy and start a new one with you or not buy the car.

Hi, We would like to extend our apologies concerning the issues you’ve had. In regards to changing a vehicle on a live policy, this change will be with the underwriter your policy was set up with. We use a panel of different underwriters to offer insurance with, when you take out a policy, that Quote was with the insurer offering the lowest price based on the details you had provided us at the time. When a change is made this insurer may not be able to cover that change as it is not something they accept. The quote you have done online will be with one of our other underwriters that will accept the new details. As this is with a different underwriter we would have to start a new policy from scratch with them to be able to offer the cover. IF they decide to cancel your policy there is no obvious warning. You’ll recieve an email that goes into your ‘other’ folder and unless you check that folder you’ll have no idea your insurance in about to be cancelled (funny how any other emails from them go straight into the focused email folder). FYI it’s impossible to insured at anywhere near a reasonable price with a cancelled insurance policy. Plus it’s a 17 minute minimum waiting time to get through to anyone at the company (honestly).
