“Queensland Opal stud earrings 9k gold
Returned immediately. So tiny in reality. The pictures are misleading.
Queensland opal 9k gold ring
Quite pretty so I pondered then decided to keep it. The gold band is so thin though so a bit disappointing
Don’t think I’ll use Gemporia again.”
“Poor quality control. Now I have to pay extra to return a faulty item as part of the stone was chipped, and I had to tighten one of the silver earrings' clasp for the hinged hoop myself. Also, I noticed glue on one of the pearls and am not sure about the workmanship. There's some minor defect on some of the pearls on another earring.”
“My order was sent to the wrong house, it took two weeks to find out it had gone to a different street. I explained you could see from the delivery photo they showed that it was not my address if you looked on Google maps. I was told to wait while they sorted it with royal mail. Another week and I was told it was a few streets away and that I needed to go round there (very wrong in my opinion considering I didn't know them and they'd had it two weeks! Awkward and potentially dangerous situation to put someone in!). Turned out the parcel was still sat on the doorstep but contents were ruined albeit the actual rings. Boxes and pouches soaked through and broken, totally un giftable.
After going round and round in circles with them, the only resolution they would give me was to pay to return it all.
Bad in my view, even a partial refund or voucher would have been ok, but no.
I declined and will not use again”
“The genuine stones are poor quality eg rubies, diamonds, etc....if they weren't they wouldn't be selling them on Gems TV for a couple of hundred quid?”
“Ordered a ring was good price but a couple of weeks later same ring reduced by £40. Tried customer service no joy, could have easily refunded me £40 and I would have kept ring.returned the ring. So far I've spent £24 returning rings. Won't even look at programme again.”
“Sorry for the low rating
Customer service was excellent I had a problem. With a photo frame a new one a as sent out brill
However I don't need to see Destello on 5 hrs one week 6 hrs another, the presenter needs to sell the 5 pages on the Web first before brings other scalfs ect items 140 pnd for affordable fashion
STOP being so demanding, pushing for sales and taking over another's presenters 2 hrs actually telling her she can say it's getting to the point of me me me!! Love Eidena
But I think she should present with another presenter reduculas
And not on Eidins presenting!!”
“Ring arrived had to send bk to be resized and now told 5 eks wait was a special birthday ring over 500 and won't be hear.if I'd known this I would have sent the item bk for a refund ..”
“I have ordered from Gemporia since they started albeit i have 'moments' where i order loads and then long periods where i order nothing. Always liked them on the whole but noticing this year more and more items are coming from China. I dont want to buy goods from China so my latest delivery will be going back, which were Visage products. I was also disappointed with a striped jersey i purchased recently from Destello... £40, again made in China and looks like a rag! I will be reviewing whether i buy any more from them. Such a shame. The whole China bias reeks of greed.”
“Rapid delivery, but I had two items cancelled without explanation. Also the magic of television makes certain stones look bigger and/or more translucent than they are. Disappointed at the tiny size and muddiness of the products I bought”
“I bought south sea pearl items 8 months ago, because of Covid I have only worn the necklace, earrings and rings once. The 9ct gold pearl ring has gone a dirty brown colour. Gemporia are saying the guarantee is for 6 months and I bought them 8 months ago. The asked me if I want the gold rhodium plated at the cost of £20! In the past 18 months I have spent over £12,000 with them, but they are not getting another penny, I am appalled. Their after sales care team need a lot of work.”
“This review is about Visage products. They aren’t bad but are no better than other mid-range products.
What appalls me is that they are made in China. I asked why and the response was:
‘China has some of the world’s best cosmetic labs, which is why many large brands manufacture there. Having looked at working with labs here in the UK, the technology and manufacturing process isn’t as developed, as so much of the worlds’ cosmetics come from this area, it has become a hub of innovation.’
For me, this has no logic. The brand is neither among those that offer advanced production techniques nor is it a top end brand.
Personally, perhaps the worst aspect of these products being made in China is the cost to the planet. The impact of transporting thousands of make up and skincare products from China to the UK must be enormous. Why not get them made in the UK?
Other top brands that have been popular for years do.
Sorry, but I will no longer buy these products.”
“Lately the ring sizes are not correct. I have had to order ring size T/U whereas whereas P/Q or R/S would definitely fit. I think they are deliberately sending wrong sizes out so that Customers will pay to have their rings resized!
Most rings on sale are sizing L/M or N/O, this is unfair. Even the Jewellery being sold on TV Live have virtually no large sizes! Also the amount of gold on the rings if resized would snap!
Something is not right and I shall be visiting my local Jewellery shop when it is safe to prove this matter. I see the Ombudsman in my future!”
“I received a ring today, the gold weight suggests this is cheap and poor quality. I compared this to my Mom's engagement ring which is better quality and true gold weight - also hall marked and over 40 years old. I hope the stones, which are a lot smaller than expected, don't fall out. Very disappointed.”
“I have purchased a fair amount of jewellery from Gemporia over the past 16 years and they definitely have changed over time, not for the better either.
I agree with other people who have reviewed Gemporia.
All the hype the presenters give over the designs of Jewellery, quality of the stones etc. Dave Troth is really irritating with the same line to the gallery “what are you doing”regarding the final price of Jewellery items.
The prices are hyped up before any drops which most people pick up on anyway. Gold has increased agree but the gold weights are very low in their jewellery pieces which makes them feel tacky and cheap.
I sent a number of diamond rings back both Canadian and Argyle diamonds because of the very small diamonds (and I mean small)
but also due to the weight of gold.
If I’m paying for a 1.50 kt Canadian diamonds 18 kt gold ring I want to see the quality of gold that the stones are set in. My husband said it looked and felt like a ring out of a lucky bag.
The prices have definitely gone up and quality have gone down big time.
I hate it when Adena Stubbs and Elis ward particularly Elis who say at the time of auction I’ve bought 10 of these make up, candles, perfume and cashmere wraps. - highly irritating and covetous to say the least
Think they forget that the majority of people don’t earn that much money and at the moment with the pandemic people have lost their jobs and are struggling financially.
Think Gemporia should up it’s game and the quality of its goods.”
