I asked a representative named "John" to change my phone number. Customers are allowed to make one phone number change free per year. Gen Mobile was given my zip code, & as computer systems go, zip code generation matches the area code. I had a Colorado zip code & thought to change it to a Chicago one. It remained a 720 zip code, after the change, & he lied about the amount of time it took for the phone number to change. Another rep, "Alex", couldn't explain why, if a Chicago zip code was entered, a 720 zip code was generated. I just came right out & told her the probabilities, & how area code generation works. She couldn't explain, however said he put a note in the computer of the zip code. I just came out & told her the importance of doing as the customer said. She told what came off to me as a self protective lie, when I asked about speaking to a supervisor what "John" had done. She said there wasn't one available. I countered, having worked in a call center before, there's always @ least one supervisor available. I point blank told her she was covering for John, & asked her if she was telling me take it or leave it. She admitted she was. In summary, it was made clear the desired & required askance. Not done. Then, spoke to a second rep who was unwilling to correct the situation or let me speak to a rep. 23666899

This the plan that I'm on is amazing and yes Jen mobile has so much to offer and what it's capable of is just wonderful wonderful thing for what being on a government fixed plan. However I cannot make my Sim work anymore it just stopped I have tried to call a text he was not able to help me everything he had stated to do I'd already done and then he puts me on hold and then he hung up I don't think he meant to I have not had my phone working in over a month and a half and I've tried everything I can to get that Sim working and I've had no help Jim mobile please help me and my stars I promise you will go up I think you sincerely and I do want to keep the service I just need better customer service and help thank you.

As far as setting up service and receiving my phone everything was very quick. However, I am enrolled in the ACP program and they sent me a free device. I didn't anticipate anything extravagant because you get what you pay for but I did expect it to be more than slightly functional. With no apps downloaded plenty of space available the phone is the equivalent of dial up connection. Opening the pre installed apps takes at least 5 min after you click on it. Like text messaging etc. Picture quality is that of a 2004 flip phone the only thing missing is the black and white snake game.

I've been a Genmobile customer for a few years. Communication with them was a bit strange but the phone service worked fine for $20/month. Then they told me I would have to get a new phone to stay with their service. So let me get this right. A company that attracts customers by their low cost is now requiring their customers to get new phones???? Talk about a bipolar business model! Some executive will get a few million dollar bonus for causing an exodus of customers. They keep rejecting the request to port my phone number to the new carrier.

Hi Alex, Unfortunately, the CDMA network is being retired across the country. Your CDMA phone cannot be used on our newer and faster 5G/4G network. 1. The Gen Care App does not allow you to change accounts if your number changes. 2. The renewal options on the webpage (shopify) are not visible and no search function is available. 3. The ability to re-order from a previous order is not available either. This forces a person to speak to a representative every time a renewal is need.

Too many problems in a span of 3 months. Change of service provider. Change of SIM card for better signal or no connection even having 3 or 4 signal bars and still having some data usage left. All being told was to reset network connection twice and still haven't heard anything from last inquiry of no connection issue.

Service is great when it works. Took forever to get texting images to work and it recently stopped working once again.
