As long as you stick by the rules and common sense Giggster has your back. More than once they've been able to resolve issues for me easily and efficiently and have suggested ways to prevent the same thing from happening in the future. Happy with their service!

This is a useless and, frankly counterproductive, app. After choosing dates a venue is supposed to be available for booking, Giggster takes a credit card number then waits 48 hours before confirming. In my case we were told the venue was not available on that date - what is the point of the app if it does not display available dates? Useless

Hi, Thank you for your feedback and voicing your concerns! I’ll be transparent - not all hosts keep their calendar up-to-date, that’s true. However, we detect such cases and either highly encourage these hosts to sync their Giggster calendar with their external calendars, or delist such properties to keep our inventory vibrant and professional. As for the booking process - hosts have 48 hrs to either accept a booking request or decline it. To streamline the process, we ask the renter for their credit card information, so that they can be instantly charged once their booking request gets accepted. I recently had a dishonest renter who booked for a small crew size/rate. Upon the call time/shoot the renter's crew size was double of what was expected. They also went over two hours. I contacted Giggster support and was instructed to send a custom rate to the renter to cover the additional cost for the large crew and overtime. The renter declined to pay the custom rates twice. This matter was then escalated to the Giggsters Claim Department. I must say that my experience was exceptional from start to finish! From the moment I reported the claim, the team at Giggster demonstrated professionalism and efficiency. They were attentive to my concerns and took the time to explain the process, which immediately put me at ease during what could have been a stressful situation. What truly stood out was the speed at which my claim was handled. Polina/Anastasia, the claims adjuster assigned to my case, went above and beyond to ensure a swift resolution without compromising on the quality of service. Their attention to detail and thorough assessment left no room for doubt that my claim was in the best hands. I'm pleased to say that the claim was resolved to my complete satisfaction, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the Giggster team. This experience has reinforced my trust in their commitment to customer satisfaction and their ability to deliver on their promises. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Giggster for their outstanding service. They have not only met but exceeded my expectations. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Giggster to anyone in need of top-notch insurance services. Thank you for making a potentially challenging situation feel like a breeze. Horrible company if you're a host. They don't add extra fees and still take a lot from you and the renter. If you're a host they withhold your payments for a couple days after the booking is over. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate of the host. Horrible company bad communication. Very sneaky and scammish. 0 out of 10

Hi, My name is Elena and I lead the Customer Success team at Giggster. Thank you for your feedback. However, I must controvert your statements. Giggster issues payouts to hosts on the day of the shoot/event. The only exceptions are: 1) Payouts to new hosts - in that case our accounting requires several business days to set up a new host in the system. All subsequent payouts are issued without delay on the day of production/event. 2) If there is a complaint from a renter, we put a hold on the host’s payout until the complaint is resolved. If after a careful investigation we come to a conclusion that the complaint is based on facts and the location was not as advertised/there were issues during the booking that were the host’s fault, we will deduct the refund amount from the host’s payout. I hope you understand that as a platform, we have to protect both sides, the Host and the Renter, ensure both parties receive the services they have paid for and enforce the Location Agreement signed by the Parties. Any Giggster user can be both a Host and a Renter (and many of our hosts rent out locations on Giggster too!), so protecting a customer’s right to receive the services they have paid for is our priority and it benefits every party involved. Regrettably, I didn’t quite understand the passage about extra fees and bad communication though, so if you could elaborate on that more, we would make sure to look into your complaint and improve our services accordingly. Host scammed me by cancelling venue after taking additional fees off Giggster. Customer service couldn't help because the payments were off Giggster, but they tried to contact the host and did what they could do. Unfortunately, I fell victim to a scam of a venue that had good reviews. Goes to show that scam artists can balance their shady side business under the facade of being a normal host. Giggster needs to do better vetting of these people hosting these venues, this should not have happened at all on this platform.

However, as we informed you in our communication, despite various instances where we warn our users against taking bookings offline, you decided to circumvent the platform, and thus forswore your protection under Giggster’s Location Agreement, Terms of Service and Hosting/Renting Rules. Normally, we ban users who take bookings off-platform, but we empathized with you and did a thorough investigation to establish what happened and how we can help resolve the situation as a courtesy. Since you and your crew not only used the location for the duration agreed upon with the host, went overtime for free and left the location with misplaced items, and moreover, since you did not book on Giggster, no refund was possible and the only option we could suggest was to resolve the situation together with the host directly. Giggster’ s customer service is quick, knowledgeable, care and precise. Giggster as a company is an amazing platform to connect producers and hosts. We love using Giggster and have yet to have any issues that Giggster wasn’t able to quickly rectify. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to create awesome content or meet a wide-variety of professionals, or host really cool people.
