“I was absolutely livid to learn on the first day of the course that the course was virtual and I was not informed of it. We have booked this course through GlobalKnowledge company, as it's a set up and approved training supplier at Greencore. I have specifically stated that I want to do the course in London and the class should be instructor led.
I was told that no courses are running in London in 2016 and one will be delivered in Stockport instead.
When I got to the classroom on Monday morning, I learned that the course is actually running in London, and I will be sat in the room by myself all week! To make matters worse, another delegate was sat on his own in Nottingham training centre, which was only 25 minutes from my house, rather than a 2 hrs drive to Stockport!
I am extremely disappointed about how this was all set up by Arrow/GlobalKnowledge, and the poor communication I have received from both companies. The course was due to start on the 24th of October and I only got a confirmation that I am definitely on it few days before (as the company reserves the right to cancel if not enough delegates are in the course). I had to contact GlobalKnowledge numerous times before the course start date and chase for joining instructions from them. If the course is led by Arrow, I don’t understand why Arrow can’t communicate with the delegates directly and keep them up to date with all the course details.
Because of such poor administration and communication, I feel that the overall course experience was really ruined for me. I was really stressed to find out on Monday that I will be sat on my own in the room all week. I took the initiative to come and join another delegate in Nottingham on Tuesday, meaning an unnecessary 4-5hrs drive on Monday to/from Stockport.
I still don’t think that virtual experience was as good as classroom based learning. The delegate in London didn’t have a microphone so we could hear what she was questions/comments she was making to the instructor, although Tarn has made an effort to repeat her the questions a lot of the times.
Happy with course content, but very disappointed with overall experience.
Kind regards,
Inga

“Dreadful for beginning to end, was not taught a thing. Wanted to take Agile next but would rather pay myself than use GK- didn't even get the manual until mid way through the first day not shown a single slide about the course just practice how to take an exam. Will be providing detailed feedback into O2 training team to ensure we don't use GK where possible.”
“Venue changed at the last minute, then started late due to technical issues for remote attendees/the trainer not understanding the technical equipment and having to get the receptionist to fix it. The first lab took an hour longer than expected partly due to other technical issues affecting the remote attendees leaving myself and others twiddling our thumbs with nothing to do. The trainer should have noticed the delay and the impact it would have and come back to them at a later time. This meant the whole afternoon was rushed, important information was skimmed over and we ran over schedule. This meant that we weren't able to complete the final lab unless we we're willing to stay more than 2 hours beyond the expected finish time, which i couldn't due to childcare commitments. I asked if i could complete it from home later but was advised it only stayed active for a limited period of time. To add insult to injury i asked where i could leave feedback and was directed to a website where login details were required, the trainer couldn't confirm what they would be so i conveniently couldn't leave feedback either. All in all, a waste of time and money. I'm going to have to attend another training session to cover the parts that were missed. I was due to use your services for a number of training courses for myself and my staff over the coming months but we'll be taking our business elsewhere in future.”
“Laptops were not ready to run the course, the exercises were little more than copying out answers, the course material was not taught in any meaningful way and all questions to the tutor seemed to be either sidestepped or ignored.”
“Extremely poor.
Ill prepared, hardware was not configured properly out of the box, network connectivity was required but not organised.
Trainer was ill prepared, did not lead in teaching, just skimming the teaching notes.
Demos were not performed.
Training exercises were essentially copy/paste exercises with no discussion or explanation.
Topics on which we asked for more information/discussion were sidestepped.”
“The course failed to achieve its goal. The learning material was not available when the course started, neither was all the technology working. The presentation screen was far too small for the text to be read at the back of the class. The course leader admitted to not being adequately prepared to run the course and in the end the course was terminated early.”
“The setup of this course feel well below expected standards, with accounts and virtual machines not being setup or configured, this left the group with very little to do for the first morning. There is no way to gain access to the course material other than though installing a very non-standard application on your own machine, which would then need access to an internet service before being able to read any material.
All in all I would never use your service again.”
“Went to wrong location initially as received no update about where the course was.
The slides were incorrect, venue was sub par as were refreshments.
Still haven't received my Prometric voucher for the test.”
“The trainer, Duncan I think his name unfortunately could not deliver. He was not really teaching but rather talking. The trainer wouldn't go over what he has taught and wouldn't ask the class anything either. What I found really astonishing and dreadful was that not once in the whole 3 days did he ask any of us if we have any questions. I had to ask him and even raise my hand to get his attention.
Moreover the method and style he taught was carried out in such a manner which deemed most of us to fail and so that was the case as out of the 16/17 people being taught only a handful passed and the remaining failed. Duncan's style of teaching was nothing less than awful and a failure to Global Knowledge. Duncan did not do Global Knowledge any justice by teaching in such a way. I really hope this feedback is taken on board and his teaching method is reviewed.”
“It was not stated anywhere that we would be dialled into a classroom in London via a webcam.
The teaching wasn't great, it was basically just here is a very quick example and then go ahead with very little to no guidance.
Currently, a waste of money.”
Good afternoon, I have been informed by your account manager Phil that he tried to contact you last week to update you on the situation and that he was trying to find a solution to the cancelled course. He has also email you today if you'd like to speak to him. Thanks
