The organisation of the course and the communication given was abysmal! The provided laptops were not fit for purpose, the logins supplied had expired, we were given incorrect start/end times, were kicked out the building early, had to sort out the demo VMs with virtually no assistance. The course material was ok. The slides and demos were a bit out of date.

I attended the Guerrilla.NET course between June 20th - 24th, 2016 in London. I had a very disappointing experience given the stellar reviews of the course attendees had provided (people who had attended about a year earlier). Lab infrastructure was very poorly organised. We spent the first three days of the five day course without doing any lab-work: - Laptop logins wouldn't work - Windows copy on the laptops were not genuine which is very surprising. - Virtual machines for the lab weren't setup correctly. The attendees did most of the troubleshooting themselves and got them working eventually on the third day. - There were no plans for how to get the lab materials onto the virtual machines. The course material itself was disappointingly basic. The outline made it out to be a "deep dive" into certain areas but was barely even an introduction. A lot of the course seemed to have been a plug from the "Getting Started" sections of the individual technologies.

The overall rating could have been higher, whilst the trainer was excellant both from a knowledge of the content but also from a personal experience perspective, they course content was riddled with mistakes.

Technical issues (connectivity) encountered by the trainer were pretty often during the first 2 days. The training material (offline one) quality was poor, images were pix-elated and hard to understand. Unfortunately the trainer lacked some capabilities. The training itself was more like a discussion between colleagues in a meeting room, while waiting for the meeting to start. That was the actual feeling.

This review relates to TOGAF level 1 & 2 course. I was initially sent to wrong location - others on course were provided with an updated venue the week prior to course start. When I arrived at the wrong location, they knew I hadn't been sent an email. Much of the content on the course was incorrect with the course instructor having to explain why what he was teaching was different to content. No physical content was provided - having to rely on inaccurate online slides and .pdf files (note: these are no good when you are trying to make annotations or apply quick bookmarks for future revision). The only saving grace of this course was the instructor, he was very knowledgeable about the subject and was able to impart information in a clear, concise manner. I won't be booking another GK course if there is no physical instruction content provided.

The course appeared to be aimed at folk with very little presentation experience. It was not tailored to my organization. The highlight was the ability to watch a video of oneself and critically analyse ones presentation style. This concept was very good, but the execution was poor because each presentation was presented, then the video reviewed, then the same material was used in the virtual presentation. This repetition was very boring.

Unfortunately the training wasn't as expected. Delivered via remote link from London to Leeds, the projector was broken in Leeds (and apparently had been for some time) so I couldn't see the trainer. A temporary measure was setup on a standard desktop monitor, however bandwidth issues between the sites meant that was almost unusable. Because of these issues and the fact the course was under manned (meaning 2 people labs had to be completed by single person), I didn't really get as much from the course as expected.

The Course content and product was exactly what I expected but the Trainer didn’t engage with us as it wasn’t tutor lead in our location. Course was delivered by Video conference and after 3 hours on the 1st day the projector broke. Apparently the projector was broken from the week before. The projector was not repaired or replaced during the 5 day course, this meant 5 people had to view the trainer via 19” monitor.

The Cisco business selling outcomes course was pretty awful. The answers were totally ambiguous to the point everyone was picking different answers.
