Reasonable prices. However, I was promised to be given a free excess cover for the value of £250. This never materialised!!!

Hello Robert, As we are a comparison website and not an insurer, unfortunately we have no influence on the policy prices. Insurers use real time pricing, which means that prices are only guaranteed at the time of the quote. It’s very likely that your quotes will change if you return to buy later. Thanks, Dan.

go compare works ok but the insurance company i chose is rediculious they excepted my deposite then sent me an email asking for documents if that is the way autonet insurance works they are no go i have pAID MY FIRST MONTHS INSURANCE WITH THEM BUT I WONT BE USING THEM AGAIN

Question "Have you caused an accident". No I haven't but when I took out insurance with the company they added £76 because I had been involved in an accident on a motorcycle which was not my fault and no claim was made on my insurance. Rip-off!

Used Gocompare Insurance...found a great many companies do not seem to participate or decline to quote. Therefore limited in use.

Gocompare gave good number of car insurance companys. I choose the one with the lowest premium. when the doucments came back the price had gone up by around £30.00. I do not think these companies should do this. The company was Goskippy, what will Gocompare do?

I used it to search for car insurance. When the results are displayed most of the insurance companies are said to add extras like break down cover but when you reach their site to buy,you are asked to pay for these also. This is dishonesty.GO COMPARE should take this issue with them.

When you transfer to the insurers site, it is not asking you to pay an additional fee for the same product but if you would like an upgrade on the product you have the option to do this at that time. I'll gterll you why it made me sad. I entered the value of a ring at £16,000.00 and a computer at £1,200 at items I needed to be covered away from home. Shortly after I was asked the total value of items I need to recovered away from home and given figures with a maximum of £10,000. Your system failed to produce an error or permit me to enter the true figure. That wasted a huge amount of time. The insurer was quite happy with the £17,200 figure but what your system showed was that it didn't spot the mismatch. Please sort it out and fix it.

Similar to other comparison sites, went with Go Compare for the £250 excess insurance but never received the email. Will be chasing them for it but disappointed that I have to.
