Before I knew how much of a community role GE played, I joined as a customer because I believe "if not me, who? If not now, when?". The slightly higher cost was not an obstacle for me, and now that I see what GE does in the wider world, I consider any additional cost I pay to be part of my own contribution to a better world. Loved the best quotes from the Hay Festival. I just heard about a huge and tremendously expensive Nuclear power plant being "ordered" this week by our new govt, and am shocked that this the way that they see moving forward. Can GE advise us as to actions? Can they spearhead a movement against? Who still thinks nuclear is green just because it is carbon free (ish)? Ask Japan. Canada and the Great Lakes. Sigh. When will they ever learn?

I moved to Good Energy on the recommendation of my PV panel installer. I had been very unhappy with the service from the Big 6 supplier and moved to Good Energy and have been surprised and delighted by the service. Prices are middling I believe but the quality of service and customer care is second to none. I would suggest to anyone who is dissatisfied with their current supplier gives Good Energy a try.

Wonderful company with all the right priorities, BUT, we may have to consider leaving as we really object to the high standing charges. We are light users and try to save energy every way we can, but these fixed costs are just out of proportion and a disincentive to save energy and the environment. Please offer a non standing charge option-others do so- or a much lower charge!

i You expect customers to remember to submit their monthly readings. ( most other companies send reminders. ii Why you cannot combine both gas and electricity into one document seems rather baffling. iii You claim to have sent a monthly statement which has failed to arrive. On contacting you and getting a promise to send the last one for May, has again failed to arrive. On the benefit side, I have found your telephone staff to be most helpful, but your admin. leaves much to be desired.

I am not sure of the origins of GE, or the philosophies of the founders, except obviously the green aspect. Would it be a starter to think that GE could morph into a cooperative in financial structure and constitution? Or at least encourage mass share ownership through using overpayment on the bill?

Helpful, ethical, and economical, Good Energy has lived up to its reviews and endorsements by Friends of the Earth and other environmental groups. I tell all my friends to choose Good Energy's clean electricity so we can all have a cleaner conscience. My only complaint is that their statements are difficult to decipher, but any good editor could sort that out.

Good Energy are brilliant, if I ever need to get into contact with them I always get though quickly, the people I speak to are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I have nothing but good things to say about them. Very happy with them.

Service used to be excellent but since growing much bigger it has been slipping. there is nothing more annoying than having to deal with inflated gas useage estimates, obtuse bills, poor printing, and reminders arriving at the same time as the bill or listening to lists of options on the phone.

I changed my electricity supply to Good Energy twelve years ago because I wanted environmentally sound energy from an ethically sound supplier. I am glad I did that, and I later changed my gas supply to Good Energy as well. I have had an absolutely satisfactory experience with Good Energy, and its prices have always been competitive even though it works to higher standards than its mainstream rivals. Joss Levy London

It is pleasing to think that we may be getting some electrons generated by more CO2 considerate methods... but price and customer service is equally important. Recent increases to daily charges were a little unwelcome as with an energy efficent home they tended to sting! Customer service has been good and often I get through to the same person in the customer service department which is really nice. After the horror of dealing with automatons in EDF and taking many months to switch it has been a delight to deal with a smaller company. I like the fact that Good Energy are investing in their own renewable generators ... solar and wind.

I joined Good Energy on the basis of their reviews in Which Magazine because I was frustrated by energy suppliers using their own readings to formulate their invoices - most often to their advantage. Good Energy do allow the submission of customers' own readings which is what I want and I try, systematically, to submit my FIT, Electricity and Gas readings quarterly on the 10th March, June, September and December. I have done the same this quarter and yet again you have sent me invoices based on your own estimated readings - which to be fair, are close to my readings, one being too high and one being too low. So once again I now have to call you to obtain corrected bills. I would very much appreciate your adapting your systems to incorporate customers' actual readings
