“I placed an order on 12/14 and today is 12/29. I still haven't received my order. I received one email with them saying there is a delay because of the holidays.
If a business can't handle this many orders, they need to hire more people or block their website from taking in more orders. I won't buy from them again.”
“I am very disappointed with goose creek, and my opinion is based on my three orders. The first order was a large order in my opinion, I order about 8-10 candles and after lighting and using them I was beyond impressed. I own a 2100 square foot home, and I could light one candle and place it in the foyer and I could smell it throughout my entire home.
So I decided to do a second order and this time I tried the holiday candles. This order was a big disappointment to me. I ordered about 6-8 candles and I could only smell them if I was standing within 2-3 feet of the candles. I had to light two at a time and still they weren’t as affective as the first order.
I decided though to do a third order hoping the second order was a fluke. So I decided to go back to the original scents I purchased on the first order. So one of my disappointments came from how long It took for this order to arrive. It took about three weeks were as the first two orders took about 7-10 days.
I’ve already used three candles from the third order and they are much like the second order with very little scent ommiting from them. I’ve spent so much money with them that I am very disappointed about my entire experience.
The couple of good things I’m happy about was how amazing the entire first order was. Also the first order had some broken candles and once I let them know they replaced them immediately.
Before goose creek I was purchasing candles from “Seventh Avenue Apothecary” but their candle are two to three times more than goose creek, so when I got the first order from goose creek I was sold. But I’m going back to Seventh Avenue, I’ve never purchase a candle from them that was ommiting strong scents.
This is all my opinion and you’ll have to make your own decision…..”
“I placed an order in 12/08 also and finally received it today. I sent an email to them on 12/20 for an update on my order and they responded back saying shipping was delayed but my order had not even been shipped. I then received a shipping confirmation on 12/23 saying my order had shipped but when I tracked it, it still hadn’t shipped the label was created. Almost a whole month to receive my order is insane. It was my first and last time ever ordering from them I’ll stick to Bath and Body Works, it usually receive my order in not more than three days.”
“Still waiting on a order from Dec. 13. Contacted them and received a generic email that apparently everyone one is getting when asked were their order was. Very sad they do not have better customer service support. If you ran a business you should be able to talk with a real person.I will be very hesitant to order from them again. If you can't handle the over flow of customer at Christmas, then 1. hire more people or 2. Tell people you can't handle an overwhelming amount of ordering and won't be able to process their orders.”

“They were horrible. Bad business. They had ten BUSINESS days to put 5 in stock candles in a box and ship them before Christmas. There is no excuse. While staff did send a lot of emojis in their emails, that did not get me my families gifts in time. They also claimed “ orders placed after December 9th are not guaranteed to arrive in time for Christmas.” That was either a lie or hidden on the website because I did not see that. Had I seen it I wouldn’t have ordered.”
“I placed and order on December 5th which contained 14 Christmas presents. I sent multiple emails to customer service as they do not have an option to speak directly to a representative. After not having a response I had to go out and purchase additional gifts to fulfil my intended gifts. On Christmas Eve I wrote in for the 4th time and FINALLY received a response letting me know that is not how they operate. In return they gave me a $5 voucher to use in just a couple of days, let Brooklyn from their team know that was so gracious of them, what a DAMN JOKE!!!!”
“I placed an order for Christmas gifts the first week of December. Goose Creek promised 3-5 day shipping and orders "in time for Christmas" On December 24 and December 26 when it was too late to receive in time I requested to cancel my order because it still has not shipped. They responded telling me that I did not cancel within the return window of 2 hours so a cancellation and refund was not possible because their customer service team has no way to communicate to their shipping department! They also informed me that after my order eventually ships that I can return it AT MY EXPENSE via UPS. I already had to replace the gifts that they never shipped now I have to pay to send back an order that they promised to ship before Christmas.”
“I ordered for the first time December 11th and over $100 worth. They said, 3 to 5 business days I would get my order. It's the 27th and still nothing or even an email. I am sure I will not order ever again.”

“This company has the WORST customer service I have ever had to deal with. I placed an order over 3 weeks ago and have not received ANY update as to when or if my order is ever going to be shipped. I have sent several emails to their customer service contact and they have not given me any actual information about my order. I definitely will NEVER buy from this company again. I will stick with Bath & Body Works.”
“I purchased candles and spent almost $200. I received a loaded of damaged candles and stabbed me in my hand from not knowing there were shards. I asked for a replacement and stated they couldn’t deliver to me as they are in high demand. I do not recommend. First and last experience with them.”
“DO NOT ORDER if you need the merchandise by a certain time (e.g. the holidays)! I placed my purchase on December 11th. I missed being able to gift the candles to my mom. I reached out to them about my order December 23. This is the response I received: “I can see that we have your order, and it is currently being processed.” (The latest update on my end was ‘Order placed.’) “My system does not provide an actual date, but we anticipate this order shipping soon.” As soon as I asked about my order update, the status changed to ‘Preparing shipment’ and is still sitting at this point. I circled back after two business days to cancel the order but was told I could not because the order had been processed. I have purchased from Goose Creek before, but this was such an awful experience that I will never do it again. I encourage anyone thinking about it to do so with caution.”
“If I could give zero stars, I would. I thought I'd try them rather than the other famous candle company. Order was placed early December. Credit card was charged shortly thereafter (no one charges a credit card until the item ships). Received no information regarding updated processing. Emailed the company - the one positive thing about them, they were attentive when I emailed them. Said they were busy due to the season, but could offer no additional information regarding the receipt of my order. I ended up canceling my order and they were pretty prompt in giving me a refund. I'll never order from them again. It's a shame because some of their candles looked pretty cute.”
“I think they are terrible with getting the items shipped. I purchased an order back on December 12th and still the order has not shipped. I have ordered many times before but I don’t think I will reorder from them again.”
