“I’m SO disappointed with my last order of candles. They have NO fragrance and I will not be ordering again. They used to be so full of scent and would make my whole house smell but the last 5 candles I ordered have just been non existent. I don’t know if they tried to save money, but it’s not worth it anymore. 😔”

No no scents al all from any of them, burned all black with embers jumping out of jar, uneven, i can’t begin to express my disappointment in these candles. Such a waste to my money.”
“Terrible candles. They have not scent to them. The wick does not burn down. On this candle it looked like a bomb fire on my counter.

“Well this was my first time ordering from them. I loved the scents of the candles that I wanted to try and I enjoyed them. HOWEVER, again first time client here and I didn’t receive my whole order. I reached out to them and they said I needed to send a picture of the box, which I’m sorry but I don’t know about any of you, I don’t save boxes for days. I asked if I could have my wax melts sent to me, $1.25 wax melts, hell ya but they weren’t. If you are a company and you want to make it work, send the melts instead of stealing people’s money. If I wanted to lie or scam you guys, don’t you think I would have asked for the expensive candles I bought instead of something so little? You can either send me what I paid for and MAYBE I’ll continue business with you and tell others about you OR you can ignore me, steal MY money and I will make sure no one in my area orders. Up to you. It’s very unfortunate because I am obsessed with candles and scents and I thought I found the right place. Turns out that’s not true. Get it together”
“I got an order conformation via email, but when I inquired about where the gift card would arrive thy said the order number was not theirs! Tried phone numbers given - NONE of which were Goose Creek Candle. One was Veizon and the other- Canada Candle Company. NEVER DID GET THE GIFT CARD!!! Never agaonj will I order from them!!”
“I will NEVER purchase another candle from Goose creek candle co. I usually shop at Yankee and have done so for many years, however I decided to give GC a chance. I purchased 28 candles and only received 24. I contacted customer service via email. Worst experience I was asked for photo of my front door/back door, just short of being asked for an aerial view of my home. I initially sent them photos of the 24 candles I received, guess that wasn't good enough. I explained to the rep. Via email that I'm only missing (4) candles not (28) however they still wanted all of these photos. So in short I told them to resale my (4) candles and except this as my last donation to them, as all of their requst made wasn't worth it to me especially what I had already spent with them. They must be struggling. YANKEE CANDLE FOR THE WIN!”
“Ordered 5 candles as gifts. Received the candles and the lids were filthy and I had to clean with Windex. After cleaning, 2 of the lids still had scratches and marks on them. I emailed customer service asking if 2 clean lids could be sent out so that I could still use these as gifts (I would not have been comfortable giving them to people with the condition of the lids-they looked used). The company emailed me a $5 gift card toward a future use. I wrote them back and told them this did me no good since I could not give these as gifts and those 2 candles cost more than $5.”
“Five of 10 candles ordered shattered. The ones that i did burn smells like something is on fire. Does not smell nice at all while burning. A waste of money. I definitely got what I paid for. However. Aldi candles are cheaper but better than these.”

“I am a long time BBW customer. I tried Goose Creek since I hadn't tried anything except BBW for so long. I placed a large candle order.
I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out. I wasn't.
Shipping took almost a month. I received a shattered candle. Most of the candles have little to no scent and they don't burn evenly.
Customer Service was no help. After going back and forth for a few days since they took forever respond to my emails, they offered me a $7.99 gift card (in which I'd have to pay for shipping again should I chose to use it).
NOT WORTH IT AT ALL. STICK WITH BATH AND BODY WORKS.”

“Same complaint as everyone else. I ordered 12 December figuring that would be plenty of time for Christmas. It wasn't. After not hearing from them I emailed customer service and received a reply two days later saying their normal process time is 2 to 3 days but due to holiday.....blah, blah. They are expected to ship 24 Dec. They didn't. Long story short I finally received the candles yesterday January 2nd. Wish I read these reviews earlier. Won't be going back.”

Ordered my candles Dec 7, 2025 and they did not shipped after past 2 weeks.. when delivery day, supposedly I refused the delivery, however, UPS never came to my door (I have video Proof) and I did not refused. My guess is that they want to scam us. We should start a SUE againt this company!”
“Placed an order December 7th, website said items ship within 3 to 5 days. Its December 29th and I still don't have the candles I ordered. When it became clear I would not receive before Christmas, I tried multiple times to cancel and they refused even though they had not even begun to fulfill the order. Ridiculous they wouldn't allow cancellation. They finally shipped on December 26th and still haven't arrived. I will never order from this company again. Go to Bath & Bodyworks!”
“Ordered 1st week of December. Just got shipped 12/23 @530pm, will arrive for 12/31. I guess order for Christmas gifts in August. This happened 2-3yrs ago when I ordered as well. Candles are nice, not worth the stress.”
“Ordered on 12/9 for a Christmas gift. They just shipped 12/23. Shipping indicates arrival 12/30. No apologies, no reason for delay, no warning that this could be an issue. Per other reviews, I hope the items do not arrive broken.”
“Really do like their candles, but their customer service sucks. You would think that if they have a horrible time with timely shipping, they would let you know on their website. I placed an order for candles on December 4. Figuring I'd have them long before Christmas as it was going to be a gift, will not receive until after Christmas. When tried to cancel the order, they told me they're unable to, when it was over a week before the item even shipped and they just kept giving what they think is appeasing responses of "Oh I'm sure you'll love your candles when you get them" or "If you want to return them after you get them you can" just to make it inconvenient for the customer.”

“Ordered on Dec 7. I have been emailing them constantly. One of my boxes shipped but will not be in time for Christmas. You cannot cancel since they will not allow it. I will never order from them again. Their excuse was volume. No kidding your volume is going to increase at christmas where was your planning. Horrible customer service.”
