“I wish i had read the reviews before i booked the tickets. once the button is pressed, you are done. Anything after that is paid. forget about all the airline policies. now you are dealing with 2 set of policies. one from airlines and one from these. Airlines polices can still be managed, but with gotogate, its like paying them for the services for which they charge on their website, but even they don't know what they are about.
They charge for cancellation within 24 hrs, premium charges for seat selection, charge for meal selection which airlines might not be even offering (seriously?). there money refund is 7-9 business days. I don't even want to start on the polite behavior and professionalism of the call center guys.
On a whole, very regretting experience. Stay away as much as you can.”

Bought a ticket from NYC to Tel Aviv through Aeroflot several weeks in advance. Needed to change my flight by a single day. Aeroflot allows for a $50 change charge, or a free cancellation altogether. However I was told I need to change the flight through Gotogate.
Gotogate wouldn’t allow me to cancel my flight, even though less than 24 hours passed. They pretended to check Aeroflot’s policy several times, asking me to wait. Then saying I can’t cancel. Changing the flight would cost $161 dollars, almost the entire amount is Aeroflot fees. They also sent me back and forth with the airline, telling me the airline can take care of me instead of helping me themselves.
They basically said I should have paid for flexible tickets, tough luck. Part of the fees I needed to pay include “customer support” (around $30).
Moral of the story: always buy through the airline directly. Or at the very least don’t use Gotogate!”

“Massively incompetent. I spent three weeks trying to make a small change with a booking. Spoke to at least 10 different staff members by phone and email and including the floor supervisors. Everyone blames everyone else or gives conflicting advice. Can't cancel an unrelated domestic flight that was made as part of a multi-stop international booking because "the outbound following flight will also be cancelled" with no attempt to identify who the party is that's cancelling this.
The airline was happy to cooperate if gotogate would contact them directly but gotogate didn't do this even after many times that they said that they would.”

I bought tickets with them, but then due to unforeseen circumstances needed to cancel it, they refused a refund even though it was within 24 hour period. Saying that the airline has a non refund policy, even though when I checked with that airline, they do have a 24 hour cancellation policy.

I booked a Lufthansa flight to Argentina from Manchester and paid £1,195. 5 days before departure my 80-year old Mum fell badly and was hospitalised.
Lufthansa made a lovely gesture of a goodwill mitigating circumstance refund but because I had booked through Go To Gate the refund went back to them.
I contacted Go To Gate but because I didn't tick and pay for THEIR cancellation insurance they refused to pass my refund over. Communication with them is like hitting your head against a wall. Round and around in circles with different foreign-sounding names spinning off the same templates responses in poor, broken English.
I have checked legally and because my contract was with Go To Gate I need to take legal action (that I am doing) against them.
Judge for yourself whether you should or could use such an unethical, immoral, deceitful middle-person in your purchase. They might entice you in with cheaper prices but YOU ARE AT RISK if anything goes wrong or changes.
My advice is AVOID AVOID AVOID.”

The worse customer service I have ever experienced in my life.
I booked a flexible ticket, and when I tried to change the date (after hours on the phone to non-English speaking call centres) I came to find out the date had in fact not been changed. I only discovered this because I rang the airline. When I raised the issue with Gotogate they refused to change the flight without me having to pay the fare difference AGAIN. I had already paid the fare difference when I changed the flight. On top of this you can't complain until 2 months after your return journey. You have been warned....it is not worth the cheap price of the flight and a flexible ticket is one huge scam.”

“One of the worst airline ticket service providers.
We have booked our tickets with gotogate and the airlines have preponed the connecting flight and the connecting time has become 50 mins from 3 hrs. Airlines told us that it is not possible to catch the connecting flight with 50 mins of connecting time. We have requested gotogate to provide us another alternative travel options, but gotogate didn't help us and asked us to contract the airlines. We have contacted customer support and all airline offices, but they inturn redirected us to contact the gotogate. But gotogate didn't help us and finally we had to cancel our ticket by loosing 50% of our money. Even after cancelling the tickets with 50% loss and after 6 weeks of cancellation of tickets, gotogate didn't refund the money till now.
Additionally we tried atleast 10 times contacting gotogate customer support and each time we had to wait atleast 45 to 60 mins to get even to connect with a customer representative and after that 30 to 40 mins of holding time for the customer support team to check with other teams internally. After listening to the entire story they accepted to call back with 72 hours with the resolution, but it never happened.
So, with my 2 month of nonstop follow up with the customer service, I can say that this is one of the worst airline ticket agent, I came across in my life. I would never recommend this gotogate to anyone. Please avoid, even though you may be see 2 or 3 percent cheaper rates compared to other sites, but you end up loosing your entire money for the fault of not yours.
Also please read the reviews from various sites, almost all review sites got bad to very bad review ratings.”

I was on hold for 30 + min trying to change my flight (premium service, ya right) only to be told system was down and that I should call back in 2 hours. When I called back and after another 30 min on hold, I was told there were no flights on that date even though a simple internet search showed there were on the same airline, and not just one but several....”
