Would never recommend Hammonds. Had to have all wardrobe doors replaced because of coating cracking and peeling off. They admitted that there was a manufacturing problem with the coating. When the same issue happened again they refused to help instead wanting £118 per door to replace plus £55 fitting. I have 6 doors. And now the same issue with the coating on my chest of drawers. £3000 plus for this shoddy product!!! Stay well away.

I made it extremely clear how I would like the fitted wardrobe to look like during the initial visit. We spent 4 hours agreeing to it and then placed the order and paid for the wardrobe. Apparently when the surveyor came, he changed the initial layout dramatically so that now what I have specifically asked for is disregarded. I wasn't made explicitly aware of it during the consultation at all. I mean at all. After waiting for months to have the installation, we have now realised that the wardrobe we signed for and paid for is not the same. The worst part is that even the second drawing, created by the surveyor doesn't match the current installation. Overall it is just extremely frustrating to wait for so long and pay so much for something and to go through this very poor experience. Whatever happens from here, it's just very, very bad from their end to put customers paying so much money through this. I was planning to use their services for our fitted kitchen, but not any longer.

Do not have any dealings with Hammonds’s furniture. They do not get anything right. They are very expensive and do not provide a back to the wardrobe or a base. When they get things wrong, they do not apologise. There customer service is rubbish. Shop elsewhere!

Awful… unfinished unit months later... I really wanted to write a glowing review for this company. It's been over 4 months since we've start this process, and we've been left with an unfinished built-in wardrobe: missing doors and a unit that doesn't look like the one in the design pictures we were provided. It's missing doors - we were initially told a mistake was made, they weren't ordered, and would take about two weeks to come in. Okay, that's fine, mistakes happen, we were understanding. Fast forward to over 1 month later.... we haven't heard from ANY ONE. You can't get a hold of a live person on the phone so I had to send an email through their website. I then receive an automated 'confirmation of installation' email in response for 13th Oct. No one showed. I texted Carlos, the man that provided the installation and he said he wouldn't be receiving the doors until the 16th... it's now the 20th Oct. and we've been left in silence... no one has contacted us. Again. The unit is not flush with the ceiling as shown in the design pictures and expected it would be. There is about a 1-2 inch gap. We are not happy with this, because this was not was agreed upon. Our experience with this company could have been really great, but their disorganisation and unprofessionalism in their customer service/administration really soured the experience for us. Not to mention, we've not received what was agreed upon and paid for. I've never heard of a construction company just leaving a project half-built and not contacting the customer. Awful. On top of all of this, we have a baby due in January... and the unit is for the nursery! If we had known this would have been the outcome with Hammonds we would have never hired them. We're very close to reporting them to authorities for a job left unfinished and lack of customer care.

DISGUSTING COMPANY- DO NOT USE I had fitted wardrobes in my main bedroom that were fit to a very substandard workmanship, Furthermore items came faulty. After spending thousands on other works in my bedroom to integrate a en en suite Hammonds were the last company to carry out works in my main bedroom and they completely cocked it up. Fitted wardrobes were out of square, internals were not fixed correctly, mitre joins not cut correctly. I would seriously consider your options when choosing this company for fitted wardrobes and look elsewhere, this is a disgusting company that I will never ever deal with again.

Within minutes of submitting a catalogue request received numerous calls from their number, alternating with private number calls. Have unsubscribed, emailed their data protection "office" to no avail. This aggressive marketing approach means that I and all the other who have left reviews on this site and others plus reverse number lookup sites will continue to leave negative reviews and furthermore NOT place any business with them. What century are these people livingin?? Await yet another "sincere apology" from Jenny or whoever else they wheel out to respond.

Worst company lack of communication by customer service 40 mins waiting to be answered Sending unprofessional fitter No apologies or courtesy was mentioned taking too long to resolve the problem Very smart enough to take big amount of advance from the customer store manager Lack of communication Lots of regrets to have used this company

I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. We were promised that the furniture would be fitted in 4-6weeks - in fact it was 12 weeks, and even then parts were supplied incorrectly or damaged. It was a further 8 weeks before the faults were rectified. My complaint to the Furniture Ombudsman was upheld but the compensation was a paltry £125, on an order costing almost £5000!

We found Hammonds to be quite expensive for their so-called made to measure furniture. Their units were set sizes and from beginning to end we had issues and there is no complaints department. Beware!
