Shockingly bad service. Our heavy cupboard door fall off with hinges within 1st month and our baby narrowly escaped. Extremely bad customer services as there was no response from the company for your complaint until we engaged a lawyer. It has been 5 months and we are still living with a risk of falling other doors. Hammods did not co-operate at all.

Any company is good when all the required parts are available bit when there are problems, missinf parts, wrong parts etc that is when you can judge a good company or not. Hammonds are shockingly bad..My order was placed on the 23rd July and was due to start onbthe 7th dec but started on the 13th dec 3 cancellations later and I am still waiting for completion Fitters were/are great

Appalling - astronomical rip off Custom designed and manufactured apparently It isn’t Cheap two dollar chip board junk sold for thousands Bully boy tactics to pressure you to accept and pay after it all doesn’t go their way

So our study was to be fitted today and at 5am we received a text from the fitter saying he was self isolating as had just returned from overseas. We have sold our study furniture over the weekend in readiness, taken annual leave and for Hammonds not to have contacted us last week when they were away the fitter was overseas and the entry rules to Uk had changed is just not acceptable. Appalling customer service.

Great initial service. The design guy was great. The order was placed and a delivery date was provided. Date had to be rescheduled as they were unable to get the materials. They finally turned up and lots of bits were missing. I phoned to complain and was basically told that it would be sorted out within three weeks. I had to have a day off of work, so I was cross that I was going to have to have another day off. They came a second time and still there was a part missing. Third time lucky, finally got my fitted wardrobes. The customer service was so poor and a couldn’t care less attitude. I was offered a small refund. I woul not recommend this company.

Extremely disappointed don't buy!!!!!! Internet says 10 year guarantee, however if you buy with new build company it's only 7! Nobody tell you this, we have 3 bedrooms fully fitted and doors are delaminating not happy, having spent large sum of money they should be perfect for many years...Don't buy, they should last a life time...Not happy !!!!!!!!

I had sliding wardrobes fitted approx 4 years ago and they are literally falling apart. The gloss material on the bedside cabinets I also purchased is literally peeling off. The closers on the wardrobes don’t work, I have been told by another company that the rail system needs replacing. I am trying to get hold of Hammonds now as all this should be covered under manufacture warranty so I am told by a different company but no one has called me back despite emailing teice. Also one of their email addresses on the website is no longer valid? The quality of these products and the price they charge is outrageous….. it’s a different story when they are trying to get a sale…. This would be a zero star rating for me!

Awful product and even worse customer service. Over priced and not fit for purpose. Whole kitchen units needed re painting due to substandard material . Even now , 3 months later that paint is now chipping away . Incorrect iron work provided , and director relations that call you a lier ... not a great company I my experance

To all who have issues - I ordered an installation, dressing room, at the end of January. Installation was due at the end of April … still not finished to date and will not be finished now. Too many issues to note all of them. Numerous visits with damaged and wrong parts. It has taken months and months but I finally got a full refund. I gave Hammonds every opportunity to fix the problems. To those who are getting passed around various faceless personnel on the telephone - go to the top and bombard. This is how I got the company to finally notice the issues I was experiencing. There is readily available free information on Companies House website which you can then use to work out contact details. I am sure a customer support agent will jump in to this thread and say there are thousands of happy customers as happens on all the complaint posts. However this does not help the customers who do face issue after issue with products that are of poor quality and definitely not in my experience matching to the standards expressed on the website. The following is an extract from an email I received yesterday. “Whilst it is with regret we have to advise we will not be able to improve on the furniture that is in situ, this was the very reason Hammonds agreed to refund you in full of £xxx and void the 10 Year Guarantee. Therefore, I must advise we will not look to complete any further works on your Furniture as it would be deemed a futile exercise given Hammonds have already admitted we are unable to meet showroom standard and agreed to a full refund.”

Supply only of kitchen units, paint chipped on 100% provided . Whole re spray was required . None matching hinges sent for whole , basic lack of care. 14 weeks iver original supply date , taking 4 weeks to supply basic bits like cournice.

Do wish we knew how awful this company are before embarking on purchasing from Hammonds. The promises made but never kept regarding work, dates, replacing faulty and missing parts. Customer services do not have the skills nor knowledge to talk to customers and blame each of the other advisors for mistakes. After 6 months, like so many other customers we are left with unfinished, uncompleted work with cupboards chipped waiting to be replaced, gaps in units…… legal action will now be involved.

Shelves chipped on install poor quality. Contacted them heard nothing back. Avoid!!!!!

Absolute joke of company! Taken 6 months to come and fit even though promised 2. Just got home and had a look and the fitted wardrobes look awful and cheap nothing like drawings. So so disappointed

Disgusting service Avoid at all costs the surveyor was beyond rude spoke to me like a child in my own home told me the only way I can have the Radley was if I ripped my carcasses out as they predated 2016 and paid more money to have new ones erm no my doors are still under guarantee. I’ve complained about his attitude but yes you guessed right no response no sorry nothing!!!!! The installer turned up with an empty van as confused as me took a look around measured up said the surveyor is talking nonsense I can have exactly what I want it’s not a problem a week on I’ve still heard nothing Hammonds have £500 of my money and all I have in return is stress please go elsewhere they are not quick to respond and when they do you are still no further forward!!!!!!!

Absolutely awful , it took 7 visits to get the job done to reasonable standard , refitted twice . Still waiting for a refund and they have applied for the payment from the credit company . No one ever calls you back . Salesman was awful and washed his hands of the whole thing when it started going wrong .

Absolutely terrible experience, after waiting 5 months for the wardrobes, the first time they cancelled at the fitter quit, the second one a week later didn’t turn up due to family issues and was coming the next day, at 5.15am we got a text saying his son had covid so had to isolate for 10 day, the whole experience has been a nightmare and we can’t get hold of any one. Lisa who is our contact doesn’t answer the phone or call back. They don’t seem to have a clue or care and there is only one number to call if you have a problem and you can only speak to someone if you have an extension. Big mistake going here avoid if you can.

After 2 months of several attempts (>5 times) and multiple wasted visits, Hammonds is still struggling to make the final installation of my order No. 270493. The issue is ongoing and without a firm solution. Totally unacceptable!!! About Hammond customer services, please don't expect to get a quick response, proper solution, proactive plan, etc,... Basically, they don't have any influence to interfere in your complaint. They are just there to apologize for the nightmare they've created. To recap: The product is okay, the fitting is a disaster, doors missing... and/or not dispatched as should be... and/or provided in different shape/color, and last but not least, your agreed design never is followed, the fitter will do everything to change it to Hammonds convenience. This is very disappointing and unacceptable for a piece of furniture that worth > £6.5K.

Fitted shelves fell down, very dangerously. Never seen such bad handy work, combined with bad service. Please do not ever use this company. There were supposed to be 8 hooks attached to back of a large, very heavy fitted shelving unit, 4 hooks were used... None of which were attached correctly! The one hook that was actually fixed to the back of the shelves didn't even have a wall bracket to hook onto! The remaining 3 hooks were not attached properly to the shelving unit (they were loosely hooked to the wall brackets after the shelves had fallen), a slight shake of the shelving unit would have brought it down sooner. Fitted shelves were installed above a desk where a child studies! Thankfully it didn't end too badly with no major injuries. To note other things... bad craftmanship on the handles of the fitted wardrobes and drawers with no accessible way to fix the handles (only reason they haven't fallen is cos they're actually supposed to be supported by the floor). They were very difficult to contact and had the cheek to coerce payment when the job was no where near finished... despite them delaying and delaying and ignoring phone calls

Two installs still classed as incomplete. These were to be completed on the 19th May after a no show and weird and late texts from the fitter. Customer service acknowledged issues with fitter and organised another fitter only to have the same fitter turn up unannounced. The fitter signed off the work without us and the bookcase does not follow the survey or design, the wardrobes inner draws were poorly finished. We also have warranty work on our first install by the same fitter as he cut corners everywhere. The customer service team just talk a good game, I was told this was the worst fit example they had seen, recommended for highest category for compensation and the amount offered was offensive. A month later I still have incomplete work, I have gone into consultation with a solicitor and following the FHIO ombudsman process now. The threat of legal action got me finally to a supposedly senior individual, however they have failed to contact me back as promised. The remedial work is booked for the 14th of July because they are so busy, you can see their priority is money only. AVOID HAMMONDS THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND KEEP YOU WITH UNFINISHED WORK AND EMPTY PROMISES

Really concerned reading these reviews, I was hoping that our experience was a one off when we had our fitting cancelled 3 days before our original fitting date at the end of May & we were offered a new fitting date of 1st September. Bearing in mind at this point (as requested by Hammonds) we had removed all of the furniture, ripped out the existing fitted wardrobe & pulled up the majority of the carpet in preparation. We have a new bed & carpet arriving mid June (plenty of time for the fitting to have settled down - so we thought) and will now have to put these into storage. What worries me now reading these reviews is that when September eventually arrives, we are going to get shoddy furniture and fittings too - even if they arrive at all. At this point almost feel like cutting my losses and going somewhere else. Oh yes & as mentioned by all - the customer service & communication channels are absolutely shocking!!!!! Will update when furniture is eventually fitted
