"BUYER BEWARE! Be careful buying tools from Harbor Freight. They have initiated a ridiculous return policy for defective tool. I bought a Pop Rivet Gun Air Model. It tells you to fill with Hydraulic Fluid. It took 2 people and a vise to open the casing and 30 minutes. Filled it up and closed it. After hooking up the air, it shot the fluid all over my shirt, pants, & part I was working on along with the floor. Not Good. Then I figured out they shorted me the smaller 1\/8\" tip. So when I went to return it, I was told I could only exchange it for another one. so to check it out, the 27 year old manager tried to open the lower filler cap and could not get the cap off another brand new one. I explained that I had been shorted the smaller 1\/8\" tip. We verified that. I asked what was he going to do about the spraying fluid since the gun was identical. I told him I would need to drive 20 minutes back and if it didn't work, then 20 minutes back again each way. By again, even the bottom could not be opened, especially for me at 65 years old. He just shrugged his shoulders. I said I just wanted my money back sine he couldn't supply me a working one. He told me there is now still a 20% restocking fee, even though it can't be restocked. That's $14 of my hard earned money. He would not overwrite that. So I spent over an hour calling corporate only to have them tell me they were going to continue this foolish practice of stealing my money. Then after refusing and asking for a full refund they said they could only give me a gift card for the 20% to go buy more garbage in the store and maybe have another restock fee. I told them if you go to Costco, Walmart, Amazon, etc, they have no questions asked returns, especially when the item is defective and have no alternative. What I want them to answer is \"ARE THEY REALLY GOING TO RESTOCK THIS ITEM EVEN THOUGH IT DON'T WORK? And then sell more of them to some other sucker. I will be returning to the store 1 more time to cancel my membership and get a refund on that. And hopefully not have a 20% restock on that return? I've have been shopping there since they first opened their first stores in California many many years ago. PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE BUYING THINGS FROM HARBOR FREIGHT UNTIL THEY CHANGE THEIR WAYS! I am going to do a charge back for the $14 they stole from me. I will not use that stupid $14 gift card. I'll let Citibank deal with that. Money is tight and I have to work many hours to get that money just for them to steal it. THEY DON'T DESERVE MY BUSINESS OR YOURS.\r\nI have included the receipts for you to see."

“Harbor Freight should sell fishing supplies. They are the best at " bait and switch". They send emails on specials but when you go the item is not available or it costs more. I have had this happen numerous times. Then try to find anyone with a clue...FORGET IT. Most items are meant to be disposable, don't plan on having anything for a long period, it will not last that long. Fool me once but I am done with this game.”

“I would give less than one star if I could I spent $1000 on a generator inverter that fried after two minutes of running and they will not replace it. They suck.”

“Tested two obd11 code readers that did not work and was charged a restocking fee because I was not willing to try third time. After being a customerr for over 20 years I will never shop at harbor freight again”

“i just bought a dump trailer less then a year ago, and haven’t really used it much. It was stored in my garage all winter and pulled it this spring and the paint is already peeling and one of the tires are falling off. 100% garbage. I wouldn’t recommend buying it to anyone even my worst enemy.”

“Love the tools and everything else except I was given a $1,000 credit limit and my account was always paid then all of a sudden they dropped my credit limit to $390. I will pay my remaining balance and never again shop at a Harbor Freight store”

“I was shopping for a battery charger and there was a charger with a discount because the box was taped closed. A battery charger is one connected device therefore, no missing parts. What could go wrong with buying this one? I returned it the next day. I told Ms. Erica that I needed to return it because it doesn't work. Ms. Erica said, that is why it was discounted because of the open box. I replied, call me crazy but you would think a seller would make sure the product you are selling works. ...her response...it is labeled for sale...as is.”

“I bought a concrete vibrator from them last week, the job got cancelled i tried to return it they charged a 20% restocking fee.. It was never disclosed... still brand new in unopened box, they did nothing for taking 20% fee.. Garbage company”

“The prices are insane right now the slogan is Whatever You Do, Do It for Less that’s is the biggest lie I saw in my entire life prices to high compared with the Dewall, Ridgid, Kobalt, and much more brands right now I prefer buy a prestige brand than something from HarborFreight tools.”

“Do not ORDER tools with a credit card from HF! I ordered an ICON 73" cabinet and side locker on 3/27/24. They charged my card on 3/28/24 and HF Cancelled my order because of some "Computer glitch", though one person I called said it was entered incorrectly so she "fixed it". Then I get two emails saying my order was cancelled. I went to the store and they said we can credit your card and then you can re-order if you want. Next day they said they "credited" my card and it supposedly was processed on 4/3/24. It was NOT and still has NOT been credited. I talked to my bank about a "CC dispute" and they started one for me but unfortunately they are as incompetent as HF is. I have to call someone else to find out what the problem is now. Then I will start a "fraud dispute".... and then file a lawsuit if I don't get refunded. Hopefully HF will be banned from being able to take that CC anyway. They obviously do not want to sell those tool boxes for some reason! DO NOT Order stuff, if you must purchase make sure it is in stock on the floor!”

“Harbor freight is the worst. They only guarantee there products for 90 days. I bought there Atlas brushless mower, 2 batteries, and a charger. This was a $669.56 purchase. The mower only lasted one year and the ignition failed. Do yourself a favor and don't buy there products! There junk!!”

“I bought an Automotive Battery Charger about a year ago. I used it once to charge a Toyota Camry Battery and it worked fine. It’s been stored in my garage on a shelf in the original box since then. Today I needed it again and it’s Dead ( no power light .). I called Harbor Freight and they sorry can’t do anything for you. I’m my opinion that’s Bad Customer Service and I will not buy or Recommend Harbor Freight Electric or Battery Power Tools any longer.”

“They advertise this trailer, that is on the floor visually. Online, it statws that the store has the item available. But when you ask about it. They can't sell it, cant order it, don't know when/if its coming in. Yet they continue to advertise a trailer.”

“Their system is out of date their mailing system between harbor freight and fed x match's perfect for a four day mail order that taken two weeks and still has not came i don't plan on ordering again off them it's really odd I ordered from Florida a day later than harbor freight 175 miles father that order came last Friday by UPS thanks harbor freight buy no thank you to your messed up mailing process I buy elsewhere!”

“Your 90 day policy is ridiculous. My Husband bought a spray gun to paint our house and was told by the person he hired that it would not work. I took it back a few days past the 90 days and was told that they were not able to do anything about it. They couldn't even give us credit for it. Now I'm stuck with an $80 spray gun. It's never been used. Still in box which was never opened. Was not aware of your policy. But for sure, I will never buy anything here again 😡”

“Bought a bauer drain auger (1724e-b) some time ago and cable broke, while I was able to purchase a new cable the drum cable also should be replaced but harbor freight doesn't offer a drum cable replacement which pretty much renders this machine useless , so why should anybody buy harbor freight if replacement parts are an issue, very unhappy customer”

“Bought a hydrostar drain auger around 3 or 4 months ago, it was priced 3 to 4 hundred can't remember, first it was missing foot switch, bought a new one, motor is junk , took belt off hand spun motor barely moves, never buy there garbage, my opinion, there just a rip off”

“DO NOT buy there pesticide sprayer. They don’t work and as soon as you open them they won’t accept them back,that’s why there alway taped up. Don’t recommend them at all…you will regret it”
