“My friend and I visited Harts this afternoon and had a lovely time looking around the garden centre.
We decided to purchase 2large garden pots which had been reduced by 50% .As they were too heavy for us to lift we looked around for a member of staff for help. No-one was around so we went into the shop to ask someone for help. Although he said he would come out to lift the pots for us we waited around and eventually we got fed up with waiting and accosted a young warehouse man to help.
As we got into the shop to pay for them he admitted that he'd forgotten all about us..... Sorry Hart's.... That's not good enough...... You need a garden centre person on duty at all times....

“I ordered 4 glass worktop savers 2 nights ago and they arrived today which was brilliant.The worktop savers are the National Trust bee ones.They are lovely better than the picture My kitchen looks a lot brighter now. “We went to have lunch this week in the new spacious cafe/restaurant . The tuna/cheese panini was OK.
I ordered the Festive Christmas sandwich. It was very disappointing. One very thin slice of pre-sliced re-formed turkey from a packet , a few thin ribbons cut from a rasher of bacon, some cranberry sauce and the main ingredient ( after the bread) was a tasteless doughy stuffing which looked like wallpaper paste..lumps of it. Yuk.
Never have I felt less festive .. I am sure that Harts CAN do better than that offering.
I love the shop apart from that but i am not keen to use the cafe again for food. ! Resident of Dorset . Mrs.H .”

“I bought a set of Global knives from this company and when I received the parcel I got the global box and stand and Richardson Sheffield knives instead of Global. I contacted the company immediately and they told me to send an email, which I did and also attached photos. I sent the email at 9:20 and at 10:30, David Conduit, the company director replied back to me saying that they have looked into it and that I am a thief and they won't exchange, replace or refund and he even said he might contact the police.
I am a chef, and I was so excited to get my global knives and instead I was made a thief and dealt with such indifference and I am so angry and disappointed NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, HARTS OF STUR.”

I bought this set as I my parents in law have recommended Global knives as excellent quality, durable and stainless.
Unfortunately these knives has been a big disappointment as they rusted after one or two washes (hand washing with mild detergent and dried, maybe once not dried within an hour!). I would not give even one star if there was such an option.
The store insists that it is absolutely fine for these knives to rust within a week and refuses a refund or replacement. They just sent them back to us after the "inspection" they did. They keep recommending us hard chemical cleaning products to help with the rust issue which should not even be an issue in the first place as they are new and very expensive.
Our parents have never had this issue with their knives which are now 15 years old, this is clearly a faulty product, yet Harts of Stur denies to acknowledge this.
Waste of money, never buying again or recommending Global or Harts of Stur.”
“The worse company ever avoid at all costs. I bought a set of sabatier knives that were advertised as dishwasher safe. They rusted on the first wash and was refused a refund. And told it’s a natural process, well my last set of sabatier did not rust at all with the same blades.
I’m not even sure the knives a real sabatier.”
“Incredibly Bad Customer Service. I purchased a knife rack not long ago, followed the instructions sent with the item ie used a 6 mm but to fit the rack. The steel fittings on the back are put on by the manufacturers upside down hence I had issues putting the rack up plus the but recommended in the instructions were too small and should have been a 7mm instead of 6mm.I complained and HoS accused me of using the incorrect but when all I did was following instructions and I contacted them first as the instructions were misleading. They were very rude and refused to send a replacement although I’m happy to send the item back. I never experienced customer service accusing the customer of being in the wrong when the item is indeed faulty especially peculiar as I also sent pics. I’m really not pleased about how they handled the situation.”
“Have made several purchases from HartsofStur and its always been straight forward with prompt delivery. Have even repeatedly reccomend them.
Then a product went wrong. An expensive £2000 Sage Oracle Touch coffee machine, they have a fault where once you run the descale program machine no longer heats up to temperature. As machine is well under 1 year old I contacted Harts for a replacement and they don't want to know, they fob you off to sage and sage fob you off as you didn't purchase direct from them. The after sales service is appalling my sale of goods contract is with Harts yet they don't want to know, I know they have lost my custom.”
“I recently purchased a Kitchen Aid Artisan toaster. I have had many toasters in my life which cost various prices, but NONE could compare to the Artisan. Most toasters give uneven results, i.e one side darker than the other, but the Artisan gives perfect toast every time. So far, I have not tried the toasted sandwich facility, but have no doubt that the result will be excellent.”
“Brilliant choice on their website and they also have a large store which I plan to visit. Delivered quickly and efficiently and everything was well packaged. Would definitely use them again.”
