I bought an Air Conditiong unit for my caravan on Friday evening due to the recent heatwave we have had I wanted to be prepared whilst we staying at Northern Farm in Brean. The unit cost £599 too be honest it gave out a very small amount of cool air you could only feel it if you were stood right in front of it.The unit didn't warrant the amount of money it cost. The caravan was so hot that we had to go out to buy 2 fans just to cool us down. Saturday Morning I called Highbridge caravans and asked if I could return the unit because I was not happy with its performance. I was told by a young lad that I had to take it back on Monday when the manager was in to authorise the refund. Monday morning I returned the unit in its full packaging I was approached by a very rude and aggressive older gentleman. ( gentleman is not the correct word I'd use for him ). He was called Paul and was the manager. He was raising his voice in front of several other customers and accusing me of lieing. This was very embarrassing. He was very confrontational and after 20 minutes or so he agreed to do the refund. I came out of the shop I sat in my car shaking and crying. I have never been treated in such an unnecessary manner. Paul was so unprofessional I am suprised he is able to work in a customer focused environment. Never again will I be returning. I would advise anyone wishing to buy any caravan/camping equipment to stay away and take your business to Davan Caravans in Weston who are very professional and friendly

I am very dissatisfaction with the service I received during a recent visit to your centre on Saturday 06.05 .24. My husband and I had a prearranged appointment with Simon to purchase an awning, but the experience was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, Simon did not bother to greet or speak with us, even though we had a scheduled appointment. Instead, he was standing by watching two other staff members pitch an awning. This lack of professionalism was disappointing and frustrating. Fortunately, a female staff member named Steph was very kind and did her best to assist us. However, the stock we were told would be available was not there, adding to our disappointment. Additionally, when Steph offered us a drink, she was unable to find the key for the machine, which further highlighted the disorganization. The shop was quite busy, and it was evident that Steph was overwhelmed trying to manage everything on her own. Despite her best efforts, the experience was negatively impacted by Simon's apparent lack of interest in helping us, even though we had booked a specific time to meet with him. As we were leaving, we saw Simon still standing in the same place, doing nothing to assist customers or support his colleagues. This experience was highly disappointing, and it has affected our perception of your centre customer service. We will not be back as this was very disappointing. Avoid the shop and do not think because you have appointment staff will make time for you.

A long list of failures to put right issues with a new caravan. All things that you can expect to go wrong but should be easily fixed by a competent workshop. Unfortunately the whole after sales service either cannot cope with their workload or lack experienced and competent technicians. Pre delivery inspection is very poor with faults including a shower tray without any sealant, broken lockers, loose wiring and damaged windows. Not all of the issues were fixed first time resulting in multiple visits. I also purchased a used camper van which was not fully pre delivery inspected and issues took weeks to address. Most recently the van needed warranty work which failed to be fixed first time. Only a strongly worded letter to their MD Phil Davis seemed to work. Although the fault has now eventually been fixed it seems from evidence provided by the workshop that the pre sale service may not have been carried out either properly or even at all. They are not the only caravan and Motorhome dealership in the area. I really cannot recommend them based on my after sales experience. It is worth noting that I had to write to their MD twice. On each occasion I was clear about the issues I had experienced and where failures had occurred. I was constructive in my comments and very restrained considering the litany of poor service and examples of poor quality control of workshop processes. On neither occasion have I had a formal response. I think this sums up the company. Customer Service is demonstrated from the top down in a family business so when the MD cannot be bothered to reply take it as a sure sign that this is not a company that cares about the quality of its ongoing support for existing customers.

My father purchased a Rapido motorhome from Highbridge, this is the second one from them. Sadly after purchase he became disabled and never had the chance to use it more than once. I've come to own it and today testing the towbar lighting I noticed the passenger tail light not working. Upon inspection I found the 2 wires from the light dangling! Then the 3 wires from the harness cut! So the light never worked at the PDI and when I did get it temp illuminated it was an orange indicator one! So that was the reason why it was never ever working. Calling Highbridge I was told to drive it from Southampton to Somerset in an illegal condition for them to assess it! OK fine if you give me a letter stating you supplied the vehicle in faulty condition when sold. Or why can't you simply just look at my pictures of the light and the harness and send the correct red tail/brake stop light? Sorry no we can't do that as it was working at PDI! I'd like to see the 12v electricity jump 12" to do that! Some buyers do try things on if they have damaged an item due to their ham fistedness and I get that all the time in my business. However when someone can clearly show that 3 wires are required to operate the correct light as per the working off side it stands to reason the 2 wire nearside with colour coded wiring as the indicators isn't going to work, especially as it's orange!

I visited the shop yesterday and was disappointed to have such a rude grey hair man behind the till, not only was he making personal phone calls to a doctor he made me wait for 10 minutes without any response. A lovely lady came in from somewhere and did apologise for my wait and was able to help us. This lady gave as 10 % off and again issued a apology for the wait. I decided to come back in to the store to ask about a caravan to be greeted with "you are stood in the shop that is not my apartment" and the man went back to his computer. Again the lovely lady was able to help us and showed me to a salesman desk. (Who was very helpful too) I can not believe that you can have a man so rude and a staff member so lovely , friendly and kind. personally I will not be back which is a shame personally his manner spoilt my experience. The young lady needs to be a Saint to work with such a person. I will not be back but again thank-you to the female that did try and make it a good Visit

Over the years I have spent my life savings with Highbridge on various vans. The sales team are always great for a sale , but if any issues arise trying to talk to someone has become increasingly impossible. Today I have made multiple calls (Teigngrace) , but no one at Highbridge has had the common decency to call me back despite promises. Based on my personal experience , I would no longer recommend Highbridge .

I was sold a Bailey caravan from the Devon branch which was unsafe and leaked badly. The hitch was damaged, fridge gas pipes heavily corroded, fridge wiring had completely corroded away and the roof leaked so much the roof, walls and floor were wet. After just a month of ownership we returned the caravan to be told it was not worth repairing because of the extent of the water damage and that we would be refunded. We were offered nothing for our out of pocket expenses, nothing for items we had bought to go with our new caravan that were not transferable. We were offered no apology. To add insult to injury, the caravan was back up for sale at the same money we had paid just two days later. Clearly the repairs to the wet wall, roof and floor panels could not have been made in that amount of time, suggesting to me they are quite happy to sell a knowingly water damaged caravan to another unsuspecting buyer. Buyer beware.

We were sold not one but two expensive new caravans within two years, both of which had serious faults. The first one had a hole that allowed water to soak the walls, a hole that was proven to be there when it left the factory. We were a bit naive then and allowed Highbridge to virtually get away with it and ordered a new one, leaving the caravan with them until it arrived. When it arrived in April 2017 we went to inspect and finalise the deal only to discover that our Coachman had already been sold! We paid the difference between the px allowance and the new caravan and took it away a couple of weeks later. Whilst away, and well within the 30 day Right to Reject faulty goods under the Consumer Rights Act, we found several faults that were not acceptable to us. Not least the potential for water ingress due to an external locker that showed daylight when closed. Suffice to say, once bitten etc. we decided to reject the caravan as unfit for purpose citing the above act. Lawrence Davis was having none of it, regardless of the law he flatly refused to refund our money saying he was only prepared to repair it! When we said we would be seeking legal advice he invited us to 'bring it on' as they had lawyers of their own! Cutting a long story short we foolishly left the caravan with him and accepted an interim payment whilst we sought legal advice - only for him to 'remember this differently'. You guessed it, they sold this one too, whilst we were (still are) in dispute. To date we haven't recieved the balance of the full value and they have made a second profit on it! Lawrence Davies sets himself above the law and seems to be getting away with it 'carte blance'. In our opinion Highbridge Caravans are great at taking your money but have the worst customer service with regards to genuine claims that we have ever encountered.
