Ordered pool table for my grandsons Xmas. Ordered in nov 22 to ensure delivery. He opened gift on Xmas day only to find a small tear in cloth. No refund/repair/replacement offered as any defect must be reported in 48 hours of purchase/ delivery. Took no account of circumstances. Really poor service. Buyer beware!

Terrible customer service. Cowboys. Spent £3,500 on a premium table, yet was treated like muck. First off, arranging to get the table delivered was a serious pain. The sales people were not clear about instructions, and told me delivery dates which weren't fulfilled because they didn't communicate properly. Then there's the problems with the product itself (Signature McQueen dining/pool table) - The balls kept getting stuck in the ball return system. Took them a couple of months to sort out. Really terrible design – the service guys had to patch up the holes that the balls were getting stuck in. - Didn't deliver all the cues, then tried to make out like it was somehow my fault and initially refused to send the missing cues out to me. - HLD forgot to send out any chalk with the cues, meaning I couldn't play pool properly for 3 days while awaiting delivery of the chalks. - The wooden triangle they provided was wayyy too big for the balls, meaning the balls were hardly touching when you break. They argued this point with me, despite being an obvious fault. Unbelievable. - The dot on the balls end has come off, meaning I have to guess where it used to be. The top end dot also looks like it's about to fall off. - They still charged me £150 to lift the frame upstairs in my apartment block – which took them 5 minutes to do! The rest of the actual heavy stuff got taken up in the lift. Felt pretty ripped off, given all the awful customer service. - Had to chase WLD constantly for updates on where the table was, when it was being delivered, if they'd received payment, where the missing items were. - Asked them to call me back on several occasions and was ignored. Even when I got the manager involved and the 'customer service' person. Now, I do have to say I am happy with the table itself, now that the service guys have come out to re-balance and fix the ball return system. It's a beautiful table. The guys who came out to deliver were nice, and the initial salesman Tom was nice enough too. But everything in the middle – the actual customer service, was laughable. My friends and family couldn't believe how much I'd spent on the table, yet somehow was given some of the worst service I've ever known. It became a bit of a joke. Sadly, not one that's very funny when the table you've bought is worth more than your car! ** WOULD I RECOMMEND HOME LEISURE DIRECT? ** Hell no. I feel ripped off and humiliated. A note to HLD owner: If you treat all your customers like I have been treated, I don't know how your business is still running. Your staff could have fixed the issues by calling me, apologising and making sure I wasn't ignored. You can call me to discuss if you want.

After bad experiences, I am compelled to review negatively. Misleading seems to be the theme. Genuine review - their ref 70181. After reading what seemed like good reviews I decided to purchase a pool table to go into my newly converted room. This proved to be a mistake, at least from this company. I made a specific enquiry about the table I wanted before I committed to the purchase and I was told it would take 1 to 3 weeks for delivery. This proved to be incorrect. Firstly after contacting customer services to confirm my details I was given a new delivery date beyond 8 weeks because it was a special build - it wasn't special at all. Next I was told it was in stock and would be about, possibly, maybe, no more than 4.... Then I was told some story about stock levels in one warehouse vs those in another and the delivery dates being mixed up.... I knew by then, hope was lost. Despite that, I gave them a chance to redeem themselves and put off cancelling the order. I've been told so many stories now and listened to peoples' mistakes, and peoples' absence from their desk etc. So its a week after placing my order and now I'm cancelling it because after having a carrot dangled in front of me bearing the words "one off special delivery" I later receive another story about "the warehouse manager isn't back until Monday". I've heard these stories all before from suppliers who are operating with bare minimum concern for their paying customers. I don't really care what a supplier's office mistakes or logistical trials are, I just want to receive the goods and services as advertised and as paid for in advance. It is totally unfair to expect someone who has just spent a considerable sum of hard earned money to sit back and wait for weeks, not knowing what's going to happen next. It took approximately 5 seconds for the vendor to take my money and keep it for a week or so, and it's going to take about 5 days more now to get it back. It hardly seems right does it? After the tall tales and lack of commitment from this place, I have lost all confidence. Now I'm faced with having to borrow so that I can get an alternative table from another supplier who *guarantees* delivery on a set timescale. Not quite the table I wanted but at least I get it while my anxious teenager still has some holidays this summer.... I'm sure that some customers have been happy with their service, but based on my own experience to date I'm afraid I cannot recommend Home Leisure Direct.

Terrible customer service, endless empty promises avoid. Purchased a mame arcade machine, took 1 month to deleiver, however when delivered was missing the keys so could not access the machine. Spent the next two months calling to get the correct keys sent, very pleasent on the phone with empty promises but nothing ever done. Had to call multiple times to get some keys, keys arrived where incorrect. Called was told sending a replacement lock, waited two weeks no lock, called back lock hadn't been sent. Claim sending another lock but im expected to find and pay for a lock smith to change it. When I purchased the machine in no description both on line and in the store did it state it was not possible to access the machine. I was looking to purchase a pool dinning table in the future but would go some where else.

Truly awful company. Ordered a pool table in May and four months later nothing has arrived. Multiple emails and calls go unreturned - promise of delivery never take place. If you ever speak to a member of staff they have absolutely no idea what is going or any idea if the issues you might have had. This may be the worst customer service and delivery company I have ever come across in the U.K. - dreadful.

"I spent about £7,000 on a 10ft snooker table and a pool table and all accessories. I have not moved into my house as yet so only played on the snooker table half a dozen times. I noticed the table had a few rolls so I contacted Home Leisure. I sent email after email and had no reply. I had a feeling this was going to happen because the accessories which they sent was cheap and shabby. I had to involve another professional company to level my table. I was so upset when the new company had told me all the faults with my table. They said it was very dangerous because none of the bolts had been tightened and it could collapse at anytime. They said that the table had never been levelled from the beginning because they were no clamp marks underneath . The new company went on to say that it was never ironed in the first place because I would have noticed the gaps between the slates.The cushions were put on inside out, staples showing everywhere. These tables are shipped in from China so please be aware and stay clear.

Pool table delivered damaged in Nov 2017, seven months on despite numerous emails and calls (always from me, never from them) they still haven't sorted it! Its easy to give good customer service when everything is ok, as soon as there is a problem they will ignore you and move onto the next sale. Avoid!!

We are far from happy and are now instructing our solicitor as well as trading standards as the cloth and slate you have delivered is of no use to us, the slate is not flat and the cloth is creased and loose making playing an unsatisfiying experience, this has been reported with photos and videos to yourselves followed up by various phone calls and emails to which we have had no response. To put a response to my previous review saying that the issue was resolved is by far and away the most presumptuous response of a review I have come across, as I had not even received the slate that I had ordered back in july at the initial point of order when you posted your response, we had initially hoped that once Ben was involved the issue was going to be resolved but once again Home Leisure Direct have let us down. Do not order from these people as you will be severly let down. Do not order a special order cloth as when it finally arrives (4 months later ) the badge is not straight with no spot markings ( the install engineer told me he was not the cloth engineer, but had a go and forgot to put the markings on and would text me the measurements ). After paying a fair price for a table the last thing I expected was to have to mark it up myself especially when we had had such a poor experience leading up to this. This is the service you get from this company the cloth has staples showing on the cushions and when you order a blue cloth with Everton badge(don’t judge me😀) it comes in various colours of blue none of which are royal.

Pool dining table ordered in mid-august. No communication, no idea when it'll be delivered as no one will come back to me. Appalling customer service. I’d like to comment on the quality of the product but have no idea when it will arrive. Having read many customer reviews it seems the more you spend the better customer service you get, I wish I’d known that before ordering.

ordered an outdoor pool table about 12 weeks ago, it stated on the website that delivery would be 4-6 weeks. After 6 weeks no contact from the company so I emailed them to which they said it actually takes 6-10 weeks, however there is no mention of this on the product listing. After 10 weeks I was going to contact them but I got an email off them saying sorry but the outdoor table had been made in mdf rather than marine plywood so it could not be used outside. They said they would get another made for me but this would take another 6 weeks at least, and they offered me some cheap snooker balls as an apology, so my nice outdoor pool table would be delivered in time for winter. So 16 weeks at least for a pool table is a bit shocking. When I rang them up and asked why they have written that delivery takes 4-6 weeks on the product listing they just said "well when u buy an item you get a delivery time of 6-10 weeks" but why do they only tell u this once you have spent ur money this should be made available before hand. I told them that this was false advertisement to which they kind of agreed. They do not contact u at all once you have spent your money to keep u updated. And to offer a cheap set of snooker balls as an apology for having to wait nearly 3 times longer than u should is a joke. To their credit they refunded me straight away but would not use this company again.

My wife took delivery of a slate bed pool table but was unable to check the item due to its size and weight. My wife noted the fact that the table was not checked on the delivery note. The package was carefully opened later that day to find no protective packaging inside and a scratch on the veneer. The company was emailed immediately but they ignored the initial email. The next email had a response denying any responsibility and saying they would do nothing about the damage. Stay away from this unprofessional unscrupulous business.!!

I ordered and paid for a pool table 17 jan and still haven't received it and although they are very professional and polite I can't help feeling that I'm just being fobbed off by the customer service dept.

I ordered a Garlando F20 football table from Homeleisuredirect but when it arrived it had a big crack in it. The company are refusing to refund or replace it because I did not inspect the table on delivery (because it was delivered to my workplace) and therefore apparently forfeited any rights according to their small print. Disgusting behaviour, customers beware.
