“It's a lovely apartment to stay in. The views were amazing. We barely knew other people were staying in the same complex. Charlie was brilliant at answering any questions we had. The apartment was so clean and fresh! Would 100% recommend staying here. For the price we felt we hit the jackpot.”

“Charming house in the beautiful quaint location of Middleton One Row, with the river and pub within touching distance. The house was immaculate and beautifully decorated & furnished. Yorkshire tea, coffee and sugar was provided which was very much needed after a 6 hour journey. We were up visiting family in nearby Darlington so the location was perfect, we will definitely be using this house again!”

“Close enough to walk into town. Lovely Panett Park nearby (although not for dogs but great for the kids). Apartment seemed very nice on the surface but we soon encountered a few problems, dirty duvet with stain of body fluids given to us to use which was the worst thing and a definite no no when hosting guests to pay and stay at your apartment. There was a few other issues which we reported. Owner could only apologise but definitely wouldn’t stay there again at this particular apartment. Didn’t think much of the maintenance team.”

“Every single detail had been thought of (even things we didn't know we might need!) and the place felt like home in seconds. We were greeted on arrival and received the most generous and inviting welcome pack of tea, coffee, local bakery cakes, locally pressed juice, milk,popcorn AND dog treats and a doggy blanket for the stay!! The photos on the website do not do the place justice, especially the ensuite bedroom, and the hot tub was heaven (and cleaned and checked daily.) We even had a bonus paddock space that acted as a secure dog field next to us which was perfect for Stanley our lurcher who cannot come off the lead. The whole stay was just perfect and it really was a battle each day deciding whether to go and explore the surrounding beauty spots (Whitby/ Saltburn - by-the - Sea/ Runswick Bay and Staithes,to name a few!) or simply cosy up with a book and enjoy the peace and tranquility of The Byre. Perfect location for trips out, as mentioned, and an all-round well considered, thoughtful and generally lovely accommodation ( all with local and eco friendly products, which we loved too!) All information leading up to the stay was spot on and Charlie responded quickly to personal requests, such as turning the twin into a double. Thanks for everything. We did not want to leave. We hope to be back!”

“We had a wonderful stay in Isla House in Whitby. The house was very comfortable and we enjoyed the lovely decor and views. It was only a short walk into the town which was great. Would definitely recommend.”

“Apartment is absolutely gorgeous and the views you wake up to and go to sleep to are something else couldn’t of asked for a better place to stay everything is in walking distance we left some kids cereals and a book and a few menus behind for the next lot of people hope they help we go Whitby as much as we can and would definitely stay here again the host is easy to talk to and get hold of if need be too would recommend staying here”

“We stayed at Marine Parade Sandsend for three nights. We were delighted with the flat which was spacious ,had wonderful views from the lounge and bedroom and the location was excellent. We will return .”

“The spacious accommodation was clean and attractive if a little hard to find. A sign on high street wold have helped.We appreciated the little gated park with nearby doggy bin where we could exercise the dogs before we went out for the day.Dogs not allowed on Sandsend beach,Runswick bay is nearest beach for dogs. WE celebrated our Diamond wedding at the Study Pub in the village where they made us very welcome food was good. I would have awarded 5 stars but because of the following: 7 mugs and side plates for 8 people only 2 tea towels ,only 2 dishwasher tabs, no clothes pegs and a single size sheet on a double bed in the en-suite bedroom also not enough bath towels. I have to point out that one of the dining chairs it very unsafe and the kitchen door is difficult to close because of fallen hinges. Apart from this we loved the house and would come again. Our son stayed here last January and recommended it to us and I will similarly do the same to friends. We felt relaxed and at home just right for a family holiday.Many thanks for the chance of feed back. Joan Hayes”

“Lovely 2 bedroom house overlooking a small lake. Great location for Beadnell centre and harbour & beach. A good base for exploring more of the Northumberland coast. Was great for 2 adults (2 bedrooms) or a family of 4 . 1 Double and 1 twin room. I was there just for 2 nights end of July, a really relaxing break. Really easy to book.”
