The house was beautiful, very clean and well equipped. The beds were amazingly comfortable. A couple of minute drive to Cayton Bay beach and 15 minutes to Scarborough. Our 2 grandsons wanted to live there forever!! We will definitely be back.

Lovely a comodation for multi generation holiday. Property was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Information about the booking supplied by email, perhaps a tad too often sent the same email but that’s a minor gripe once I realised did not have to reply.

Nice apartment, but lots of stairs. Would have been nice to have instructions for washing machine and cooker. Nice and close to everything. Would stay again if not so many stairs.

Great location, easy to find, amenities close by. Lovely clean, nicely decorated property. Comfortable and easy access etc. Could do with a bathroom update but would definitely stay again. The hot tub was great for the kids

Double booked by host and stay so nowhere to stay when we arrived. Eventually found somewhere 30 mins drive away. Not ideal. Now still struggling to get money back from them as accommodation they found us was cheaper. Invoice they sent us wasn’t the same price as the original invoice so we are still owed money. A total nightmare.

The apartment upon arrival was initially good until we walked into the first bedroom at the front of the property, the wall was damaged and crumbling away which on first glance made the wall look dirty. The living room area was lovely but the dinning room table had a layer of dust on it and the coffee table had smears all over it where it hadn’t been cleaned properly. The view from our living room was amazing but the condensation on the windows blocks your view when you want to sit in the morning with a cup of tea and look out at the sea. The main bedroom was lovely, the bed was like sleeping on a cloud but soon as I looked up at the ceiling there was cobwebs all over the ceiling. The dresser with the mirror was very wobbly,so one slight wrong movement then the whole thing would collapse. The bathroom was nice and clean, the issue we all struggled with was the drain in the shower, we had to take the whole thing out for the water to not floor the bathroom, the shower glass could also be extended as soon as the water hit the shower floor it splashed onto the main bathroom floor so two towels were needed to avoid the bathroom floor being soaked. Now down to this main problem I had during my stay which wasn’t acceptable and wasn’t resolved efficiently, I contacted the property before making our three and a half hour drive to start our holiday to check if the property had a iron and was informed that the property did have an iron, we arrived and no iron was at the property, so I contacted the number given for any inquiries and was told by a lady Eliza that she will try and resolve the issue and call me back, a call wasn’t made at all back to me so i rang her back after an hour of hearing nothing to be told she’s still waiting to hear back from house keeping and asked me to still look for the iron in the property. Later on I received a TEXT MESSAGE. Hi Kara, Thank you for contacting us, We won't be able to get one dropped off for the iron tonight I'm afraid. We'll forward the request by tomorrow but definitely not for tonight. Kind regards, Eliza So I explained this wasn’t acceptable as I had contacted beforehand to check if an iron was at the property to then be told that they will not be getting one was very disappointing. I also requested for the £25 damage cover charges that are non refundable to be refunded as clearly someone previously had taken either the iron or it had been removed from the apartment and we was not getting charged for that. I then received another two text messages. Hi Kara, Apologies for the inconvenience caused. This is not something that we want you to experience. We will look this into our relevant department to address accordingly. We'll send someone by tomorrow to drop-off the iron. Kind regards, Eliza I explained I was not leaving the key for a staff member to access the apartment whilst our belongings were in the apartment and informed them that we were aiming to go out for 10am so it would be kindly appreciated if one could be dropped off beforehand. I then received no response whatsoever every text message wise back but received a message on booking.com at 7.49am Hi Kara Jane, I apologize for the inconvenience caused regarding the iron not being available during your stay. I understand your frustration and I will make sure to address this issue with our team to ensure accurate information is provided to our guests in the future. Regarding the refund for the damage cover, I will escalate your request to our management team. We will get back to you as soon as possible. In the meantime, please let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with. Best regards, Chelsea __________________________________________________________________ I also messaged back asking on there for an iron for before 10am and no response back in regards to the iron, just your usual automated messages mentioning about hope your enjoying your stay etc. I had to ask a family member who was staying in Redcar to travel to bring their iron for us all to use as we was blatantly ignored. I then received a phone call at 4.17pm phone a gentlemen saying that a staff member is struggling to get into the property with an iron for us as the key hasn’t been left for them to gain access. I then explained the whole situation to the gentlemen and was informed a manager will pick up the issue on Monday when they are in the office. So at the current moment in time I’ve heard absolutely nothing from host and stay from that last phone call in regards to my issue. Very disappointed in the lack of communication and dealing with the issue which could seem minor to them but I’m pretty sure if they were in this position they would not be impressed.

Location was great, the apartment was functional. BUT it was dirty, the open plan kitchen/diner/living room floor was filthy. The couch had stains all over it. The double bed we used was a futon and the slats underneath were broken and the mattress was angled which made sleeping awkward. I’m unsure if we would use the particular booking agent again.

Excellent location right in middle of Whitby clean apartment with everything we needed will be booking again for sure had to phone the company whilst we were there about parking who were very helpful along with the app that to download

Close to Main Street , restaurants and the Co-Op is just across the road. Take about 10 minutes drive to Bamburg Castle.

We booked a week in a holiday cottage. Arrived to find it had been double booked and we no longer had a place to stay. They offered no apology or help. We were left with no choice but to drive back home

A wonderfully clean well presented house that was worth every penny. Three teenagers had own room. Plenty of seating area so not on top of each other. A lovely helpful neighbour who was a real treasure. Definitely book again with family. Everything needed on hand for kitchen. An excellent house for being in the centre of Scarborough without the noise. Enjoyed the barbecue in garden with excellent view of the sea. Best holiday yet.

Room was clean and tidy.There was a small fridge in it, there are also glasses and cups, bowls and plates, also wine glasses.The only downside is the lack of a table to prepare coffee or a meal and the lack of a garbage can outside. The rest is fine.

Walked in food and paper on floor look outside there chips fish and rubbish all over the floor with flies all around it, then upstair one bed room the bedding was dirty, walk into bath and toliet roll holder broken and all bits left on side, main big bedroom dirty curtian and dirt on a picture, walk upstair to next floor and they try to screw nails in to the carpet because it all coming away but there was a screw on the floor which had come out which one my children stood on, the whole house really could of done with whole clean over again but when you have your personal stuff in and trying make holiday with children you don’t really want be messing around with it, and be warn the shower are terrible not suitable for as many people as which house can hold half you end up with freezering cold shower and host and stay ask you look at boiler and top it up if it needs it doing hmmmm I’m on holiday not messing around with something your paid for! I wouldn’t come back here again a lot money and the house really could do with updated it’s try tired and not up to standard with the money your asking for it

Very nice place to stay in the quiet part of Scarborough. Only issue was the address given was incorrect and the taxi company wasn’t too happy so wasn’t a great start but once we got into the apartment we were pleased with the accommodation with a beautiful view! Very clean and tidy with lovely modern decor. Would highly recommend😊

Gray Haven is a spacious 3 storey property in a quiet residential area five minutes walk from the centre of Whitby. Four double bedrooms, spacious and comfortable lounge area, dining area with enough space for a large family (there were 8 of us), fully equipped kitchen, family bathroom with shower and bath, en-suite to the master bedroom and a fully equipped kitchen. A great property sympathetically modernised to rental/holiday home standards. Whitby is an extremely popular destination and commands high holiday rental prices. It’s not especially cheap in high season so you expect very high standards for your outlay and rightly so. It’s a great house but does need some TKC in areas and the standards of cleaning when we arrived were sadly lacking in the important areas. The house was generally very clean though we got the feeling that the pre arrival cleaning had been rushed. You expect a little damp in a house if this age and the odd bit of staining here and there. Full mound growth in the kitchen was unfortunately missed by the cleaning contractor -large areas of FURRY mound to boot-and the toilet pipe was loose leading to a flooded toilet in the first flush. It took a while to locate the problem (fixed by us) and 8 of us had to use the en-suite for the first three days. Annoying. We couldn’t get the heating to work to air the property (it was very warm the week we were there but the house felt and smelt damp especially in the kitchen and dining area)…cue mound growth. It was only on leaving that a plumber arrived dead on the 10am kick out time (unnecessarily early in our view-the next customers not due to arrive until 4…6 hours to prepare? Is that necessary or actually a good deal when paying top dollar Host & Stay?) that we were told that he had come to fix the boiler which had been switched off. We either got hot water or heating but not both!!! Really? This is not acceptable. It is neither fair to paying clients or good value for money. Fresh sticky ham on the bannister could have been a toddlers farewell (we all have kids) but again it was not cleaned or found as was the gift down the back of a bedside cabinet. The used condom thankfully turned out to be a flesh coloured balloon but still should have been found and removed. This sounds like rant. It’s not. It’s fair comment. It costs a lot to take 8 people away for 4 days and hard work by us to afford the trip should mean hard and diligent cleaning prior to arrival. Gray Haven should be magnificent. It’s a quality house but it was let down as the basics were not attended to properly.

No 2 Pannett apartments is bright ,clean and within walking distance to everything in Whitby . The apartment exceeded our expectations and would recommend it to anyone looking for an apartment in Whitby

We stayed in Apartment 4 right at the top, and we thought it was very cosy! It had everything we needed, and we were super appreciative of even the little touches such as the parking permit, free snacks, tea and coffee … etc. The apartment was very clean and contemporary. There’s plenty space considering it’s a small apartment, but they’ve utilised the space very well. We felt very safe and secure at Glencoe apartments and would highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a little getaway in Whitby. It’s very central and and within walking distance from all the attractions. Me and my partner work very stressful jobs, and we loved the fact that we could switch off and get some really good sleep. Super comfy bed, and it was cozy and warm throughout. Thank you so much!
