First time we’ve booked a cottage with Host and Stay. Excellent communication/information prior and during stay. Property we stayed in was fabulous, would recommend.

Great property in Saltburn-on-Sea. Easy check in and check out. Also the electronic guidebook that was sent to us prior to our stay provided us with all of the information that we needed for us to understand the property and get around and explore the surrounding area

Great holiday home in an easy accessible area for exploring the Yorkshire coast, highly recommend. Also great communication before, during and after our stay. Would use again.

The location was perfect and near to the middle of town and short distances from almost everywhere. The apartment was nice and spacious, clean and had all you needed to make it homely. Plenty of parking just outside and nice a quite surroundings.

DONT STAY AT THIS PLACE THEY WILL TRY ROBBING YOU 
we stayed at this place from a monday to thursday morning and didn’t enjoy it as much as we should have. the moment we got inside we smelt a very disgusting smell. it was as if someone had puked up near the entrance and hadn’t been cleaned properly . this wasn’t a good start but we just did some spray and tried carrying on with our trip. when we got to the bedrooms we realised there was no locks on the door which meant we didn’t have full privacy but we didn’t mind too much as we knew each other. When we did decide to go to bed they were very uncomfy in most rooms and we struggled to sleep. these were some of the little problems we faced but the main ones were when we left the place. the customer service is absoulately disgraceful even before we went on the trip we rang them and the lady speaking from the company was speaking to us in a very awful way which made us all feel disturbed and uncomfortable. when we did get home the company started to send us pictures of things which they told us we had broke but we knew for sure that we hadn’t broken any except the ironing board which was already half broken whilst we were using it. to say it’s a very expensive house some of the things that were included inside there you would of found in a council estate house where the people are on benefits and are struggling to buy decent equipment. They tried making us pay extra and still are trying to get more money out of us for things which were already broken. one of the other things they said is we damaged the chair because we left it outside but when i checked it there was no damage on there just the smallest piece had been abit damaged but over time these chairs do get damaged so that is normal. do not ever stay at this house even though it looks very nice you will not enjoy it a single bit. also whilst we were there 2 showers had issues with them and they had to send an engineer which came at 8 in the morning and woke some of us up. they should have sorted that shower before we got there as it stopped us from using it for a day or two.

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing this letter to express my disappointment regarding the services provided by your company. On 24/07/23 - 27/07/23 , I availed of your services and was dissatisfied with the results. Despite my repeated attempts to contact your team to resolve this ongoing issue, I was unable to receive any satisfactory response from your customer service department. I was left feeling ignored and frustrated by the lack of attention to my complaints.As a valued customer,(and my 10 lovely friends who joined me) I expect a higher level of service and attention to my concerns. I would appreciate it if you could address this matter and take appropriate measures to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future.I look forward to your prompt resolution of this issue. Firstly, I had stayed at Otterhill, Great Ayton for 3 days with a group of friends just enjoying our holidays. At the end of the trip it had come to our attention the misfortunate and complete utter failure and disregard towards us. We had payed a cleaning fee of £400 which suggested to us that any type of mess which was there would be cleaned as we had put a payment down for the cleaning which we EXPECT to occur. As we had left we had gotten an email about some sort of ‘damages’ that we had APPARENTLY done which me and my friends do NOT recall AT ALL. There had been some sticks of some sort as a decoration which non of us had an idea that was there that apparently ‘we’ had broken. They had provided us with faulty equipment such as a faulty ironing board which had collapsed on me as I was ironing my clothes which could easily have resulted to a major hazard as the iron which I had been using had still been on. They had accused us of chairs that are ‘peeled’ which we also did not do and they had said we left the chairs out in the rain but the chairs were under a shelter/ balcony area so there had been no rain touching the chairs. This is just a small list of aspects of the utter disbelief that we are all in as they have accused us of doing all this without any sort of proof. Secondly, we had payed a deposit of £1000 which has not been given back to us to this day and it has now been over a week since we had left there. They had sent us ‘damage’ on cushions with a little bit of wax on it, in which we do not recall doing also, which they call it as damage but is just a wash away from looking brand new again? THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYBODY AND I NEVER WILL BE USING THESE GUYS SERVICE EVER. In my years of travelling and using other platforms to book and stay at places like this I HAVE NEVER been through such bad service in my life and my job I have requires me to travel all over the world not just the country! Moreover, after speaking to them and asking them about proof and pictures etc, they have been very very hard to communicate with as the person who is dealing with us repeatedly sends us the same pictures in which nothing is clear in, we had asked for more and more pictures but THE SAME pictures are sent over and over again, and the service? Please do not get me started on that, I have not come across anything so unprofessional and so upsetting, again I DO NOT recommend these guys at all for the prices they are asking and the customer service they are giving are not reciprocated. I would 100% second think or look elsewhere

i would just like to say, The place i stayed at , Great Ayton had Awful service, would not recommend staying here to anyone. paid £400 for cleaning fee and demanded more. falsely Blamed us for stains and other things such as the iron breaking, when in fact it could’ve seriously injured one of us. Holding our deposit even though we should have it back by now. unprofessional workers, customer service was terrible

Appartment was nice. Only 2 drawbacks were loud noise from the appartment above and it was a nightmare to get out of the parkingspace because of the narrow street and cars parked on each side of the exit.

I couldn’t recommend enough! The apartment was huge, with sea views & ideal walking location.. my children kept asking if we could live here 😂 I have never stayed anywhere for this sort of value for money. I’m still shocked! We are already planning our trip back. Couldn’t be happier! I wasn’t expecting it to be as nice as it was.. a real home away from home!

Just had a lovely 3 night stay at Osborne House with family, great property, spotlessly clean and in a perfect location just a few minutes walk from the harbour and Whitby town. Beds were super comfy, huge family bathroom and well equipped kitchen. Be warned however, the property is over 4 floors so lots of stairs to climb but this is stated in the property details so wasn’t a surprise, certainly kept us all fit! Would definitely stay again.

Great property with good size bedrooms and a lovely kitchen diner that seats 8 people. In a good location with a 20 minute walk into heart of Whitby and 10 minutes from the pub up the road. Lovely and clean and well furnished, it was a great place to stay and we all enjoyed it.

amazing apartment ,very clean and luxurious .what we were provided with was amazing .dressing gowns,slippers, a bottle of presecco ,bacon,eggs,bread and a lot more. it was luxury and the bed was the biggest I've ever seen and very comfortable.theres even alexa so you can relax with music .could not fault it at all thank you for an amazing stay.

We stayed at The Grange (The Pheasantry), Flamborough. The property has many positive qualities. The interior design is tasteful and comfortable. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. There were 3 bathrooms with good showers. The hot tub and garden was private and good for our dogs. The location is ideal to explore Flamborough and the surrounding area. Their coastline and landscape are stunning. The Pheasantry is connected by a door to the adjoining Farmhouse property (sleeps 15). You can hear everything through the door/wall. The x3 lots of guests weren’t particularly loud, but conversations, scraping of plates and general kids noise were all heard. It made me feel that equally the guests next door would be able to hear us, and that made me feel uncomfortable. When the cleaners arrived on Friday to clean the farmhouse I could hear their music and at one point a belting rendition of Belinda Carlisle’s 80’s classic, “Heaven is a place on earth”!!! This was in some part entertaining, but served to show that better soundproofing is needed between the properties. An issue for us was also the poor quality laminate floor which was fitted downstairs. This made such a noise when my dogs were walking on it. It would have been good to have had some rugs to lessen the effect of a hard floor and the noise created. The house was clean to a large extent but attention needs to paid around windows and doorways where there were an abundance of dead flies. The property is billed as luxury but for me it fell just short, which is a shame because it has tremendous potential.

We stayed at Rockpool Scarborough unfortunately the uncleanliness of the bathroom marred our trip the toilet pan was brown stained with a thick crust of? ??? Between the toilet cistern and pan the sink taps were thick with black gunge around their base the shower curtain had wet red mildew around it and there was an infestation of large bluebottles, the bath was dirty and the slip mat was also dirty . The whole of the bathroom needs replacing , will not be returning and its very unlikely that I would be a Host and Stay guest again .I have stayed in Airbnb places all over the country and also abroad ,and have never had such poor accommodation
