“Intercontinental relocation of pets will never be a stress-free experience but I am so grateful to Starwood for successfully minimizing my anxiety as much as it was possible to do so. My relocation involved moving my cat and German Shepherd dog from San Francisco to Greater Manchester in the UK. After hearing/reading horror stories, my initial decision was to handle their move myself. It soon became clear that the intricacies of pet transport into the UK were beyond my capabilities. My situation was also made more challenging by the Coronavirus pandemic. I was initially encouraged to reach out to Starwood by all the positive online reviews and my first interaction with Adam was very reassuring in that they could provide the tailored service I was looking for and that they would make an effort to assign Sarah as my Pet Relocation Concierge as she was very experienced in handling USA/UK animal transportation. Sarah was fantastic. Right from the start, she was personable, patient and helpful. She responded very quickly (within 24 hrs including a 5 hr time difference) to all of my detailed questions and requests for information. My dog required a custom-built crate and this was all arranged by Sarah using their local Bay Area pet transport contractor. I made full use of the resources and experience provided by Starwood and Sarah including: • Measurement of my dog for his customized crate and crate construction • Storage of the crate until day of travel • Review of the both rabies certificates ahead of travel so I had time to get revised certificates/vaccinations to ensure compliance with the requirements • Emailing of links to purchase water bowls, crate mats, cat travel crate and accessories that met the airline requirements • Links and contact information for the contractors handling the pet transport to and from the airports at either end thus allowing me direct contact with them. These sub-contractors were also excellent - very responsive to all my questions, reassuring when learning of my concerns and providing updates on the pets when in their care • Preparation of the health certificate paperwork for the vet and direct communication with the vet in order to ensure he understood what was required • Speedy review of signed documents to ensure they were correct Sarah’s attention to detail was second to none. With Starwood, you get what you pay for and more, since peace of mind when moving pets is priceless. I couldn’t imagine using any other company if I was to need such a service in future.”

“Sarah worked with me throughout the whole process and continued during all the delays due to covid pushing our departure back multiple times. It was a huge relief knowing that my dogs were getting their veterinarian and customs paperwork completed properly.”

“Our cat was the runt of her litter, she's a very tiny one who needs to be handled with care! When we had to move cross country for my job and weren't able to fly, finding a safe solution was of the utmost importance to us. Enter Starwood Animal Transport and Ryan! Across one of the most difficult time periods to fly period, let alone for a pet, Ryan guided us and our cat Tequila in the process of getting her out to the West Coast. She was professional but also just so nice especially when the airlines had to cancel our cats' flight a few times due to the summer heat. It was good to know we had some potential alternatives since Starwood has so many options available to pet owners. I'd recommend choosing Starwood for your next pet move!”

“Very pleased with the amount of communication and support I received during the whole process. My circumstances were unique in the sense that I had already gone through half of the preparation by myself but then the pandemic happened and threw my plans out of the window. Starwood managed to get me going again. Arranged the flight for my pet with the only airline that was still accepting pets, took care of the paperwork and had my dog delivered to me at my destination address. Overall my experience was a very good one. The people I dealt with were exceptionally helpful and responsive and my dog seemed to be happy and not distressed with her overall flying experience. I can not thank everyone involved enough for making this whole thing a memorable one.”
