“So far so good. I am slowly refinishing windows before the install, but the ones completed seem to work well. They are an extremely tight fit (probably by design) and take a good bit of finessing to ensure that the corners conform properly. I do wish Indow offered off-white as a color option--the white is okay but doesn't match off-white trim very well.”

“Essentially no reduction of sound. The Indows were very expensive. I used a decibel meter and there was hardly a change. They fit fine but do not work.”

Hi, Spencer. Thank you for your feedback. We would love to learn more about the testing that you did and understand the tools and process. We have found that when customers try to use cell phone applications at typical interior volumes the microphones are not calibrated and can have misleading results. They also pick up all sound in the room, not just noise through the window. At the end of the day, however, regardless of metered results, we want all of our customers to achieve quiet and would like to help understand if there are things we can do to help improve the performance of our inserts, or if we can help identify other areas where sound may be coming into the room. While there are definitely some sounds that we reduce better than others (mid and high frequencies vs. low frequencies), we have also found that in some cases we are one piece of a noise reduction strategy needed to maximize the results. We will be following up to get more information and see how we may be able to help.

“I have installed three out of six inserts. I am completing some painting and cleaning before installing the others. So far my experience is very positive. After having a little trouble with the first installation (the corners scrunched up), I put soapy water on the contact surfaces for the other two. This helped quite a bit.”

“They do the job for an affordable price, though ultimately I find using window inserts aren't an ideal solution for upgrading my windows. It can be quite difficult to take down, and can make my room very hot & stuffy with poor air circulation. The other downside is the insert taking a couple of weeks to be made & shipped wasn't ideal as well. in the future I think I'd much rather get new windows for better air & temperature circulation”

“The product itself is fine. They are pretty flimsy but keep out the draft. I’m not sure why the corners of the indows need to be deliberately damaged in order to fit in place. It seems like bad design and the first area where the inserts might begin to break or show wear and tear. Salesman Jeffery and fit specialist Daniel were evasive, aloof, and uppity. We had an issue with a window that we ultimately had to cancel an insert for and after multiple emails to both Jeffery and Daniel, to which they never responded, we had to call them multiple times to get our order fulfilled. They also claimed we hadn’t returned the Indow Fit Kit, which we had promptly after receiving it. I’d like to purchase more Indows for my home but I wouldn’t want to deal with these two Individuals again. That being said, our Indows were shipped in a very high quality crate and arrived undamaged.”

“I❤️my INDOW windows! I got them to block out neighbors/neighborhood noise! They work fantastic! It turns out that they block weather drafts of heat and cold as well-another bonus! I bought them for my daughter for her kids so they can sleep as well as for my 88yr old mother, hearing neighbors wheel out their garage cans at crazy hours (late pm & very early am). This certainly was an inexpensive way to fix these issues as opposed to replacing entire windows. Great product & great customer service thru the entire process. Ty all so much 😊”

“I am so excited about my indows!! When I moved in my house had a couple windows with aluminum inserts. So I bought indows for the remainder of the windows I anticipated keeping. From the pictures I think you can see that my indows are doing a great job!!! The aluminum ones allow water vapor to condensate on the window panes because warm air travels through the cracks in the corners. While the window without anything is entirely covered with frost. I love my indows!!”
