“Fit, form and function is very good. Felt an immediate reduction in draft in the room. Will be ordering more soon. Had a bit of a fit issue in the top corners that took a few tries to get the wrinkles out. Still a few visible wrinkles. By the way the back gasket is cut out in the corners, it looks like you have been working on this issue.”

“I couldn't be happier with my purchase of two Indow's to alleviate drafty awning windows located at the staircase base of our 1910 home. The Indow's fit is precise and have entirely eliminated drafts making the space noticeably warmer. “Believe the inserts are a bit large not sure they fit properly but the packaging for return is too cumbersome and would not work to send back, so I will keep the inserts and attempt to use as is. Feel as if the noise may actually be amplified vs. reduced when the inserts are in use.”

“Love the windows, the step by step process of measuring and ordering all went smoothly. Having them installed had cut noise and completely eliminated draft from our original (1910) single hung windows. They look great too!”

“My primary reason for purchasing Indow inserts was to block airplane noise. I did not expect a miracle and had pretty reasonable expectations to reduce noise by hopefully 30% or so. I think, the inserts perform at the level of my expectations.”

“Indow and its personnel were a pleasure to do storm window replacement business with. It was difficult to find storm window replacement in Michigan. I did internet research and found Indow and thought it might be a solution. It was and an elegant and reasonably priced one at that! I would recommend the product to anybody asking. I understand they are seeking dealers. It would be a golden opportunity for somebody -- wish I were in a position to be one myself! The window was shipped by UPS and it fit beautifully on our first try at the indoor installation!”

“I just love my acoustic indow insert in the bedroom! It has significantly reduced the noise pollution from the nearby train track. It's heavenly and we are finally getting quality sleep! We are ordering indows for the boys bedrooms, the loft and the bedroom on the 1st floor. I highly recommend the acoustic indow insert!”

“We very much like the acoustic window insert. We live in a city on a crowded and noisy street and they do make a difference and I have a sensitive ear. We look forward to buying 2 others that will help even further, reduce noise to our living room. “The measuring and ordering process was easy with video , illustration and written instructions provided. My order arrived in a timely manner and in good shape. My daughter helped me install the insert due to it’s size but the installation was not difficult with the instructions provided. It was nice to have the microfiber cloth and cleaning solution provided .The fit is perfect and ,most importantly , I could feel the cold air stop had leaking through my window immediately. Thank you !”

“We received Indow inserts for all of the windows on the top floor of our house. The measuring device came as promised and the measuring went well. The inserts came in the amount of time Indow said they would come. We were able to install the inserts and except for one insert that had a crack...(Indow stood behind their product and we will receive a replacement in a few weeks). They fit well into the windows as they were designed to do. Unfortunately the decibel level in our upstairs bedroom did not change. We did not get the noise reduction we were hoping for. Indow has been professional in all of their dealing with us but I cannot give a higher rating because in our particular case the inserts did not help with noise reduction in our home.”

“So far so good. I am slowly refinishing windows before the install, but the ones completed seem to work well. They are an extremely tight fit (probably by design) and take a good bit of finessing to ensure that the corners conform properly. I do wish Indow offered off-white as a color option--the white is okay but doesn't match off-white trim very well.”

Hi, Spencer. Thank you for your feedback. We would love to learn more about the testing that you did and understand the tools and process. We have found that when customers try to use cell phone applications at typical interior volumes the microphones are not calibrated and can have misleading results. They also pick up all sound in the room, not just noise through the window. At the end of the day, however, regardless of metered results, we want all of our customers to achieve quiet and would like to help understand if there are things we can do to help improve the performance of our inserts, or if we can help identify other areas where sound may be coming into the room. While there are definitely some sounds that we reduce better than others (mid and high frequencies vs. low frequencies), we have also found that in some cases we are one piece of a noise reduction strategy needed to maximize the results. We will be following up to get more information and see how we may be able to help.

“I have installed three out of six inserts. I am completing some painting and cleaning before installing the others. So far my experience is very positive. After having a little trouble with the first installation (the corners scrunched up), I put soapy water on the contact surfaces for the other two. This helped quite a bit.”
