“It is amazing how these inserts have helped to quieten the street noise! I would say there is at least 20-30% less noise penetrating through now than previously. Incredibly clear and transparent, same or better than glass. A bit cumbersome for one person to install but getting better at managing it on my own each time I try. Larger windows definitely need at least two people. Also looking forward to hopefully having reduced energy costs when winter rolls around!”

Shauna, Thanks for the feedback. We appreciate it. It certainly is amazing about the noise reduction. While every building's situation is different, in independent studies our inserts have shown 50-70% noise reduction from single-pane alone. Thank you for mentioning the clarity of our optical-grade acrylic. Though installation can more often than not be handled by just one, you make a good point about cooperation from another for those who have large windows. The energy savings can certainly be more pronounced in the winter, but, as customers report, our inserts can give the gift of energy savings in every season. Thanks again for taking the time to let us know about your experience.

“These inserts only block about 15% of the noise. I purchased several inserts because of the traffic behind my house. I can still hear the traffic behind my house. I am disappointed because I thought they were going to block at least 70% of the noise. The videos I watched before purchasing these inserts are not true information. The noise will not go away with these inserts.”

“Our property is adjacent to a busy street. We have two windows in the Master Bedroom, one window in the master bath and two windows in the "game room" that face this busy street. The new Indows are installed in the bedroom and the noise level is noticeably lower. We might consider the other windows for our next project.”

“We live in a 100 year old home in texas. The ac goes 24/7 during the summers and now I actually hear it shut off mid day. Also we can no longer hear the rooster crowing out back! We are so very pleased with the inserts and have been telling anyone that would listen about how amazing they are! Thank you!”

“I have four of them in my skylights that I can remove in summer, and two in my basement windows. The lookk good and perform well, especially the skylight units.”

“We bought our Indow inserts to seal off the cold coming through our basement windows in the winter. The inserts fit very well and look nice, but since they were installed in April, it will be several months before we know how well they succeed in blocking the cold air. I'm optimistic.”

“Absolutely amazing! We can't believe how dramatic the difference is. We live next to a busy freeway and the indow windows have reduced the loud freeway noise to almost complete silence. I would recommend these to anyone. One consideration however: once you do one room, you may be tempted to want to buy them for every room in your whole house!”

“The Indow window are a great solution to having VERY large single pane windows that would cost a lot more to replace. They are absolutely clear, at least at the beginning. Fairly easy to install, but I learned a few tricks for our 6 foot by nearly 4 foot windows. Customer support was good and helpful. I do not understand why they are supposed to be removed "at least once a year." We got white edging which fit the décor perfectly. At the end of the review there is a request for pictures, but there is nothing to see.”

We recommend removal at least once a year as it allows you to inspect them, identify any potential issues with your windows over time, and ensure they are set square in the frame. “The inserts significantly reduced the noise for our bedroom. They were easy to install. The entire procedure from purchase to delivery was very easy. The only portion that I would change is the chain and pull on the window. We were actually nervous pulling on them when adjusting as they don't feel very sturdy.”

“We ordered our inserts during the Covid pandemic, so it took a few months to actually get the inserts produced due to labor and supply shortages. We ordered 32 inserts - some with white frames. some with brown frames, and seven with the Limited Edition Color frame. The inserts arrived in a single freight shipment, and the container was packaged securely. All the inserts fit perfectly. However, the seven Limited Edition Color inserts arrived in the standard brown frame. After contacting Indow about this issue, they quickly created a claims case to replace the incorrect inserts with the requested framing/tube color. These replacements aren't expected to be produced for 8 to 10 weeks, again due to the pandemic.”
