“Please post the following the following review if need: I have 2 bedroom windows. One faces an a cross intersection of a major boulevard and highway. It is fair to say that placing this insert in the noise facing window has eliminated all traffic noise. I am shocked how much of an impact this has had.”

“Definitely worth the price. I live at a busy cross-section, speed limit is 35 mph, cars will usually spin out ,screech their tires and travel in excess of 50 mph. Easiest way to describe the windows performance would be that I no longer hear cars or midsize trucks go by. Screeching tires, vehicles that are modified to make noise are now reduced by about 65% I’m no longer shuttering every time any vehicle blast past my house. I’m able to sleep in this room with my head next to the window without any issue. It is allowed me to be in my living room in peace and without distraction. I would definitely recommend this product fortunately no other windows in the house have this noise problem otherwise I would purchase a second if needed.”

“Bought enough acoustic inserts to cover my entire second floor (open concept) and my main bedroom. A few of the inserts didn't fit as snug as the majority but they seem to be secure. Bedroom (third floor) was a nice improvement. Second floor left a little more to be desired but it was still an improvement than without. I'd guess 35% noise reduction with my double pane windows. I do plan to buy inserts for the remainder of my windows.”

“I ordered my insert on April 28. I was told a 10-week turnaround time, then a 12 week, then 14 weeks. It has now been 15 weeks, and I keep getting told my insert should ship out next week. At this point, I'll believe it when I see it. It is affecting my business. Find another option. Not having a definitive delivery time is not a good way to do business, and you can't keep blaming it on the pandemic.”

“The order process has been a nightmare. I ordered April 26 and was told to expect about an 8 week turnaround. That quickly slipped to 10-12 and then up to 14. Finally, on July 28 I received an email that my inserts were complete and to expect shipping information within 1-2 business days. It is now August 10 and they have not shipped. Supposedly on top of supply chain delays, they poorly planned a facility move which further delayed orders. I hope I am completely blown away by the product but DO NOT recommend until they can fulfill orders in a timely manner. They also need to reconsider requiring a full deposit at the time of order when delivery times are completely unknown.”

“It was a bit of work to get the window insert into the frame. But it was worth every dime now that I have blocked the excessive noise of a window air conditioner unit from my neighbor. Excellent customer service. Martin is absolutely fantastic with explaining how everything works and helping me with installing the insert. Overall a great experience.”

“I purchased acoustic grade window inserts to help with the absurd levels of noise pollution in my neighborhood. While the noise is still audible, it has been reduced enough that I can hear my computer, phone, and thoughts again. While it may not be as effective as increasing the distance between myself and the source of noise by several zip codes, it makes it so that I am at least able to ignore what noise does come in rather than feel it buzzing in my ears as I'm trying to sleep. I believe Indow has improved my quality of life in my home compared to before I used their product. The insert does what it is supposed to do.”

“I am revising a past review after working with Indow's customer service to handle a communications problem. I am ordering my second pair of inserts, and they work well for the areas promised. They effectively cut out high and mid-range frequencies. On the day I installed the inserts, there was a party across the street with approximately 20 loud children. The noise was completely blocked when I installed the inserts. I've also had a few times when I've been in my office and the neighbor's kids were playing in my yard; can't hear them at all. When I travel to visit my parents and get woken up by a dog barking somewhere in the neighborhood, or an HVAC machine kicking on, I think about the inserts because I'm positive they would block that sound. On low-range frequencies: the inserts aren't so great at blocking these. I was really hoping they would be, but not solidly expecting it. Low wavelengths are extremely difficult to block. I live by a noisy road with a steep hill. The high pitch swish of traffic gets blocked out, but low motor noises and engine sounds do not. I've found noise-cancelling headphones to be effective in this case. If you are buying these to block low pitched sounds, do your due diligence - you might not get much benefit from these (or much else, to be honest). But other sounds - dogs barking, the swish of a freeway half a mile away, etc - I think you'll be pleased. There was a communications issue on my last order, but it was promptly resolved.”

“They help, but they don’t compare to just spending the extra money for proper soundproofing. I’m not going to be a success story as I am not satisfied with the results and investing the money in proper sound proofing and not sure what to do with all the window inserts I purchased. My advice to others is start with one room and see how you like the results. They don’t live up to the promise in my opinion.”

“I still have yet to install these inserts in my living room. The process has been so difficult and I can't handle the inserts. Not only did the inserts take almost 4 months to make and ship, I have not been able to find the help I need to help me install these in my home. Also it made a very little difference to my bedroom noise. I felt I spent so much money on these and had so little return :(”

“Most folks I know have issues with street noise. The excess noise is caused by a wide bandwidth of frequency. The high end Japanese cars are now MUCH quieter, by half according to the app Sound Meter. (Compared to readings taken by the back sliding glass door. The hot rod style exhaust has a lower frequency and is joined with the guy with the "thumpa thumpa" comes by. Make sure you analyze and measure your Db levels of concern. Clean and weather proof using caulking and sealing products, measure again. That may actually take care of a large portion of the problem.”

“The reason I order Indows was for noise reduction. I was told that it may increase the noise by 20% to 50%. They are not cheap either. After waiting for 4 months, I try it on. And there was zero noise reduction. The layer is not thick as I was told. Basically waste of my money and time. Also, there a scratch already when the indows was arrive.”
