“These are great sweaters. Their sizes are off. I usually wear a large. When I initially bought an XL knowing they would shrink a little they shrunk too much and this is with handwashing in cold and hanging to dry. I was quite disappointed but I gave the sweater to a good friend. So this time I bought 2. But both are XXL and it fits almost perfectly but I haven't washed it yet. Here's hoping. Perhaps Irelands Eye should recalibrate their sizes.”

“I love your knitwear. The 3 jumpers I've bought lately are perfect. But! The 3 are 3 different sizes. A small, a medium and a large. It's difficult to choose a size when ordering on line. That would put me off buying online in the future.”

“The Blasket Honeycomb sweater is beautiful and seems well-made, but is much bulkier and longer in real life than it looked on the online model, due to the way she had the bottom edge folded under. This made it look shorter and snugger than it actually is. I am 5'7", about 110 lbs, and ordered a size small. The sweater comes down over my bottom and is quite baggy. I tried to return it, but it would have costed about $50 US, so I opted to keep it. I'm sure it will keep me warm and cozy, just a bit frumpy :)”

“Judging by my first impressions, the heavy wool quarter zip sweater I ordered is a good fit and look. The advice I received on which size to take seems spot on. Likewise, I received quick and friendly replies to all inquiries. The one sore or at least strange spot regards the pricing. After browsing here and there and deciding upon the one IrelandsEye sweater, listed on its site for €120, I proceeded to order and pay for it, when it then appeared at the higher price of €154. Why? The customer rep. mentioned that the price is different for different countries of destination, e.g., Germany. A markup of more than 25% where delivery is said to be included? When I repeated the Q, she offered me a 15% discount (on the latter, higher price). Again, she was quick to reply and friendly. But I received no better or further explanation for this strange pricing scheme: listing the item at one price and selling it at another.”

“I was amazed at how quickly I received the sweater that I ordered. However, when it arrived the box was damaged and had been opened. That said, the box had no shipping tape to keep it sealed just 2 2" adhesive circles at the seam which were damaged showing the box had been opened. The sweater is of good quality and seems to be okay. Please improve packaging as I love your company otherwise.”

“Hi. I was very pleased with the cardigan I ordered (Woodford Aran Cardigan Navy - L). Delivery was as expected. There was one issue in that the attachment of the left pocket was undone. I did not pay much heed to this as I thought this would be easy enough to reattach. However, I wore the cardigan without stitching this and after wearing the cardigan a few times, the similar connection on the right hand side pocket became detached. I had not used this pocket for anything other than a tissue, so it would appear that the original connection was minimal. I will now have both pockets mended to correct this issue. Regards, Dermot”
