“Overall good experience, Japan centre stocks a lot of great items. My only criticism is that shipping takes a while, i tried ordering from their bakery twice but each time items expired very quickly and weren't at their best just because shipping took so long :(”

Items from our fresh bakery range are always made to order and included on the day of dispatch, for delivery within one business day. One concern, was the production dates/ use by on rice in the online photo was for an older batch. When in store I noticed the rice was more recent. thus I bought a small pack on line.

“I buy rice from Japan Centre as there are many varieties of good quality rice. Very happy. I am interested in buying frozen food too but there are shipping charges which I am reluctant to pay as I usually spend a lot of money. There were two recent occasions when I was unhappy about your food:- one was frozen Shabushabu beef which was so tough I couldn’t eat. The other was Fujjiko shredded dark salted kombucha kelp which had very short sell by date and very dry.”

“I bought 3 bottles of sake for my son. The delivery was fine, and my son enjoyed the sake.
My only complaint is that one bottle arrived chilled, with a very large amount of plastic packaging.
The cold packs had no instructions for how to recycle. We rang the manufacturer who was helpful and gave us some instructions. But it took ages to empty the gel substance in the ice packs so the plastic could be recycled ...very messy and time consuming.
Not very eco friendly, as I doubt most people would bother to recycle the packaging at all!”
“It's my first place to go to when shopping for Japanese groceries. Naturally I'm hoping for a wider variety of products especailly on grocery items. On website, I wish I could put things in the "basket" and would't get removed until I'm ready to check out days or weeks later.”
