“Maybe my taste buds are not right for Providoor, I have ordered a range of food over the last weeks. I like the mushroom ragu and the bolognese and the jackfruit rendang and will order again - they lived up to the advertising. But everything else was disappointing and to my mind the flavours were not balanced. For instance, the spice/flavor of the south indian village chicken curry to my mind was rough, the south indian chicken curry I get from an Indian place next the Hundu Temple complex near me is superior. And, your nutritional data has too many errors, don't you have regulatory obligations in this regard? I order from several other meal services and I am more statisfied with their general palatability.”

“The food from Providoor is consistently delicious and high-quality — I’ve really enjoyed every meal. One suggestion: it would be great to see more variety in the weekly menu. A rotating or themed selection (e.g. ,food that is unique to every cuisine represented already but not on the menue now) would keep things fresh. I don't, for one, don't eat the same food every week. Also, please consider printing heating and prep instructions directly on the packaging — not everyone has a mobile phone, and this would really help my elderly parent. Great service overall with just a few areas to improve.”

“Very efficient delivery, with the freezer packs that kept it cold, and good customer service. The dishes were very easy to prepare and heat. One or two of the dishes (for instance, the beef bourginon) were a little different to what I expected, although the Pumpkin soup was fantastic. I would definitely use Providoor again.”

“I absolutely love it. We are retired but I still cook every night for my husband and daughter. Providoor offers me the chance for someone else to cook for me - but so much more than that, each Chef's dish is so beautifully nuanced with flavours that I feel as though we are dining in their restaurant. It's such a treat! PS I've even been tempted to serve it at my dinner parties.”

“Sorry guys I was disappointed. 3 out of 5 meals were not to my standards Greek kebabs lacked flavour and seasoning Mac&cheese was gluggy and not cheesy enough and the apple pie was way too overpowering with the spice However I did enjoy the arancini and potato granite”

“Sounded full of promise. Backed by respected chefs but food was fair and far too expensive. Certainly not to a high standard I would have expected. Seemed all very commercial - maybe those chefs just lend their names.”

“Be very careful if you need to delay an order. The website says 24 hours notice but this isn’t always the case. I accidentally ordered twice and tried to delay the second order with 3 days notice and they refused. I have not fridge or freezer space so this food will end up given away or thrown out. An expensive lesson to never use this site again”

“Disappointed with How Much This Has Changed I’ve used Providoor many times since COVID and absolutely loved it back then — it was such a great concept with amazing quality meals that felt special. Unfortunately, it’s just not the same anymore. The prices have gone up significantly, and the food quality and taste have really dropped. For what you pay now, it’s just not worth it. Really disappointing to see how far it’s fallen — I wouldn’t recommend it anymore.”

“I have purchased from Providoor several times now. Always very satisfied wih their produce. The slow cooked lamb is a real hit - as is the pomme puree. And their Sonoma pies are sensational.”

“Prompt delivery, simple instructions and delicious meals. Some are a little bit and miss but that's what I get for ordering vegetarian. The curries especially are amazingly flavourful.”
