The two meals that we ordered did not meet our expectations.

Meals are poor value and in some cases badly cooked, with raw ingredients in amongst cooked items. I will never buy again, which is so disappointing as I had high hopes after their stellar meals service during lockdown.

Not impressed at all , was promised gold movie tickets , didn't get them , soups were partially thawed on arrival , couple of meals nice, but overall no better than basic supermarket frozen meals .

I ordered one portion of Greek Chicken Souvlaki and the meat was raw. I was expecting chargrilled chicken to be heated up in the microwave but was surprised with raw chicken skewers

Maybe my taste buds are not right for Providoor, I have ordered a range of food over the last weeks. I like the mushroom ragu and the bolognese and the jackfruit rendang and will order again - they lived up to the advertising. But everything else was disappointing and to my mind the flavours were not balanced. For instance, the spice/flavor of the south indian village chicken curry to my mind was rough, the south indian chicken curry I get from an Indian place next the Hundu Temple complex near me is superior. And, your nutritional data has too many errors, don't you have regulatory obligations in this regard? I order from several other meal services and I am more statisfied with their general palatability.

Disappointed with How Much This Has Changed I’ve used Providoor many times since COVID and absolutely loved it back then — it was such a great concept with amazing quality meals that felt special. Unfortunately, it’s just not the same anymore. The prices have gone up significantly, and the food quality and taste have really dropped. For what you pay now, it’s just not worth it. Really disappointing to see how far it’s fallen — I wouldn’t recommend it anymore.

Not really happy either the taste of what I received. Only the sticky date was nice but obviously not worth the price

I couldn’t eat one of the curries I ordered. Nor could my guests and we threw it out. The other curry which was Luke Nyugen was v good as was Anna Pavlov’s lamington. I wrote to the CEO about the good and the bad about the inedible curry by a surprisingly reputable chef but got no reply. So despite some things being good I’m annoyed at the rudeness of the CEO not replying. Feedback is a gift and I chose to make this gift privately and directly but now I’m making it public because I got no reply

I feel a lot of the reheating instructions will result in overcooked meat, almost burnt pie, etc.. It is also a bit of a hassle to remove the frozen food from the plastic bag. The tastes are okay but not really exceptional, and I can often do something similar if I were not so short of time in meal preparation due to a full-time job. Also, there was an incorrect delivery, this was addressed but still very inconvenient.

My experience with Providoor was very disappointing. I ordered the lamb shoulder and side dishes and invited friends for dinner but then the box was delivered missing the lamb m. I ordered an apple pie for the same dinner for dessert and instead received a chicken pie. When I reached out to providoor i was only offered to send me the lamb and apple pie. Even though I asked the customer service team member to send me other items I ordered again, they refused. So then when I received the lamb, I had to go out to the shops and buy all the side dish and cook them from scratch which defeats the whole purpose of ordering providoor to begin with. I’m a new mum and was gifted providoor by family to help out with cooking while with a new born. It wasn’t much help.

Whilst the food was lovely, the delivery and promised extras were not delivered on Valentines Day. No rose petals or candle and it was delivered late. A gift voucher was offered but had to be used within a month. Disappointing really.

I was a big supporter of Providoor during lockdown, so I was saddened to hear about their financial struggles. I continued receiving their emails and, when I saw a Christmas lunch banquet for four on offer, I thought it would be a great way to make Christmas Day a little easier. My order arrived on December 11—completely frozen. I hadn’t realized that all meals were now frozen, but that was on me for not checking their website. However, when Christmas Day came, I was so relieved that my girlfriend had gone overboard and bought extra food because the Providoor meal was a huge disappointment. Frozen potatoes and frozen broccoli—absolutely terrible. The pies sounded interesting but tasted underwhelming. The only highlight was the lamb, which I did enjoy, but that was it. My girlfriend, her mother, and her sister all felt the same way. It was genuinely upsetting. The worst part? My girlfriend still reminds me about it six weeks later!
