“We had a taxi booked which the taxi driver arrived on time and had a second pick up which was fine. We were going to the NEC for the good food show so allowed plenty of time as we had wine tasting booked. When we arrived we were in completely the wrong place 😡 the taxi driver had been given the wrong postcode, after the taxi driver had put the correct postcode in it was still another 28 minutes away after already travelling for an hour. This now meant we have missed wine tasting that we had already paid for, I rang the office to be told I should have checked on the drivers phone that it was the right postcode, REALLY 🤔 we have never had to do this before. The guy I spoke to said he would speak to his boss and ring me back, surprise surprise I never got a call back, we will never use these again and we won’t recommend to anyone. Uber all the way”

“Used kirby to and from east midlands airport. Going to the airport the taxi was on time and the driver was pleasant and chatty. On our return journey i was a bit anxious as ive never had a taxi pick up on return journey ( always had family pick us up) Our flight was delayed by an hour but i need not have worried as the driver rang me when i was just coming through passport control, he asked me to ring him back when i exit the airport which i did and he loaded our luggage and off we went home. Would use Kirby cars agin”

“Drivers mostly are lovely.however having regularly used this taxi firm 2-3x per week I’m now nervous everyday as they are constantly late picking up.

“A taxi had been booked to pick me up from East Midlands Airport.
My flight was delayed and by the time I had arrived and cleared airport security and customs, there wasn't a taxi insight.
I called the office to find out where my taxi was and the person who answered the phone was very rude and abrupt telling me that my taxi had been and had already returned the the office...
I was stranded at East Midlands Airport and had to make alternative arrangements to get home...
Will not be using Kirby Taxis again!”
“We booked a taxi and was told it would be 45 minutes. We were still waiting an hour and 45 minutes later. I missed the time I was supposed to take my medication which made me very ill when I eventually arrived home. When my husband phoned to see where the taxi was they’d sent it to the wrong place. We were told to look out for a green car, a mini bus arrived. The taxi driver had a right attitude when we complained that we were expecting a green car. He kept going on about people complaining about them being 10 minutes late when they’re all drugged up or drunk. We became very uncomfortable and felt that he was implying that we were drunk or drugged up. If I wasn’t disabled we would have been quicker to walk home. We will stick with Uber from now on.”
“Absolutely shocking service, booked a cab for 7pm, they didn't turn up, so I called them, they said we will be there in 1 hour, my table was booked for 7.30pm, had to cancel restaurant, will never recommend or use your company again! Would of given Zero stars if allowed. I”

“Phoned up midnight trying to get a taxi back after the football was a nightmare. Kirby taxis sorted us out, polite gentleman on the phone told us an hour wait and he said he’d get someone out ASAP. We waited for an hour rang back and someone was out within ten minutes! Really polite, lovely bloke!”
