“Unable to speak as phone lines quoting over 60 mins wait, so went on line. My issue was that I was very unsure (having just completed my mortgage) who would hold the "Deeds" to my property - which in my expectation was probably a formal document bound with legal ribbon?
I requested a copy of what the Land Registry held but clearly stated in the comment box that I already had in my possession the Land Registry Title info Edition 02092010 which listed:
A. Property register
B. Proprietorship register and
C. Charges register
but that from what I was gleaning from friends this did NOT constitute the actual Deeds.
I really needed guidance. Instead I received a copy of the same documents but not actually any help as to whether the Land Registry Title is the same as the Deeds? The advice cost me £48 - which wouldnt be too bad but I then emailed to again try and qualify whether both are one and the same.
Abbie kindly responded saying "the documents that we have sent you are the official copies for your title number, the only other document is the conveyance on the image below" - which I could not open!
This is your world not mine. Would it please be possible in plain English to state that the Land Registry Title informaton is indeed what perhaps would formerly have been called The Deeds? A yes or no would be fantastic please.
Many thanks.
Helen Robson”
“Very quick service, but ridiculously expensive for a few clicks on a keyboard.
Strange situation when you hold the only proof of my ownership of my property unless I spend £50 for a copy!”
“Getting the details are good, but the boundaries and rights of way are different depending on what property you have accessed, ours show nothing about our neighbours having right of way over our land but theirs do, also boundary lines are different.”
“The document sent to me was not what I requested. The price was way above what was quoted at the point of my search. I have not been able to get any contact information to request the correct document.”
“Quick service but paid for express turnaround as it did not say how long I might have to wait if I went for standard delivery.
This was a business purchase using a company credit card - would like to receive an invoice along with the copy document that I had paid for.”
Hi Richard,
Thank you for your review, and I'm glad to hear that you found our service quick.
I understand your concern regarding the express turnaround and the invoice request. We strive to provide clear information about delivery times, and I appreciate your feedback on this. A member of our team will contact you to address any outstanding issues you still have.

“Received my plan quite quickly but I was hoping that the plan did not show the boundaries with my neighbours property clearly enough. I understand that prior to my purchase they moved the boundary fence so there is no longer access to the side of my house”
Hi Patricia,
Thank you for your feedback, and I’m really sorry to hear you’re disappointed.
You’re absolutely right—boundary issues can be a common source of concern. Unfortunately, Land Registry documents typically do not show exact legal ownership of boundaries. The title plans are based on Ordnance Survey maps and are meant to give a general indication of boundaries, but they don’t define them with precision.
In most cases, the Land Registry will not confirm the ownership of a boundary unless there’s a specific legal agreement or a determined boundary application that’s been registered. If boundary ownership is in question, this often needs to be resolved between neighbours, potentially with the help of a legal advisor or a boundary surveyor.
I understand this may be frustrating, especially when boundary clarity is what you were hoping to find.
Please don’t hesitate to let us know how we can assist further.
“I’m very disappointed that the land registry documents obtained do NOT show ownership of the boundaries of the property. Boundary issues seem to be prevalent yet the land registry documents do not help”

“Charged me for each and every item available to me in my deeds from years ago , I was after current day, you said you can’t help, I should contact land registry direct??? Poor, lot of money for what I already have”
Hi Martin,
Thank you for your message, and I’m sorry to hear you’re disappointed with the service.
I understand your frustration regarding being charged for documents you already had from previous years. Our service provides access to the official documents currently available through the Land Registry, and unfortunately, we don’t have control over what’s listed.
We have no record of any communication with you about updated documentation availability, but one of our team will contact you and help you clarify which documents may or may not have changed over time.
