Bought two garden bench covers from Leader Stores. Owing to poor availability of this brand of product from any supplier I feared that delivery was going to be protracted, which turned out to be the case. Leader kept me informed by e-mail and 'phone, but were, I believe, let down a bit by the organization that should have provided next-day delivery. All was well the end. Thank you Leader Stores, we got there in the end.

This is my second order with Leader buying two doors. My first order went to plan and when I spoke to staff they were pleasant and helpful. However when I placed my second order for a Malton pitch pine door, I rang Leader the following day after my on line order to ask about delivery. A very rude and abrupt man whose name I didn't even get time to ask, told me the door would be delivered within 3-5 working days and they would phone ME to tell me. He couldn't wait to get off the phone and I only wish I'd got his name. It's through people like him that give businesses a bad name. I'd think twice before using Leader again! I starred normal due to my first experience, however if I were starring the second purchase it would get a very poor!

Very pleasant staff to deal with but a few niggles - order got misplaced so delayed project and annoyed my joiner, who had to be on 'stand by' for several days. Door described as oak,but its oak veneer - didn't matter for what I needed for, but could mislead others.

Good product at a good price and helpful when contacted. BUT much longer delivery than stated on the website and I had to do the chasing as to where my delivery was. Leaders never rang me with an update.

New customer (First order) Items purchased: LPD Furniture Fusion Faux Leather Sofa Bed (FUSIONBLA) ยท Colour: Black LPD Furniture Zeta Black Metal Single Bed (ZETABLA3.0) Positives: Impressed with quality of LPD furniture Bed frame easy to assemble Sofa bed, only had to add the legs and it was ready to use Negatives: Order to delivery longer than expected (indicated 5-7 days) but, instead was (21 days). If I had known this would be the case upon order, I would have still placed the order, as price was good and would have been willing to wait. However, due to the delay it did make me question whether the items would eventually get delivered, as read some other reviews were other customers had trouble with lead times and cancelled their order, an then had difficulties receiving a refund. So given my concerns, I was reserved to the possibility I may have to cancel my order but, when I was informed the order had then been dispatched, I allowed the order to continue and WOW got my order the next day. So I may have been hasty in my concerns. Small issue with a missing slat, called leader and awaiting spare part to be sent. Informed would be around a week, will allow 10 days before chasing. Overall: Happy with final outcome, goods received. Will be looking to place another order shortly. However, if I had cancelled I would not have looked to Leader Stores for future purchases, as I would have lost complete confidence. I can accept if the lead time is a little longer than expected, as long as I'm kept informed. Would have preferred an email to keep me updated, rather than having to call to chase up order.

Good and bad so rated mid-point The bad was that the item I ordered was misrepresented by suggesting that it was a pair when it was a single item supplied in 2 boxes. Even though I had mailed them to verify this before ordering and they had confirmed I would receive qty 2, when I called them there was no recognition of the distance selling regulation and they demanded I pay for the return in order to be refunded, so my advice is to be sure about what you will receive before ordering and be sure of your rights. The good part was that after arguing that the item was misrepresented they did accepted this and agreed to supply a second item FOC.

Delivery took longer than expected but I was kept informed at all times and the order arrived at the revised schedule. Very good price

Product arrived after long delay & a few phone calls chasing late delivery. It was as described & significantly cheaper than prices quoted by the competition for the same branded product. Delivery driver was helpful with offloading. Only complaint is that I should have been kept informed that the product I ordered was actually out of stock and would not be delivered within the time frame quoted when I placed the order. This was important to me as I had booked a builder to install the product. As it turned out the product was delivered the day before the builder was due to arrive over 2 weeks after the expected delivery date. Just an email would have sufficed to keep me informed of the delay.

I understand there was a delay on the stock of the products you had ordered so we had to wait until the manufacture manufactured more of them! The doors are very good and am pleased with them greatly. The only disappointment was the delivery which was not next day and did not receive for a week and had to contact the courier myself which WAS NOT EASY as there courier customer service you have to wait a minimum of about 1hr on hold and I had to do this 6 times in all. The item is great but there courier service they use are useless!

Hi Allistair, I can only apologise that there was a delay in your items arriving. I would recommend calling Leader Stores directly as we could have chased the delivery for you ourselves saving you any hassle with having to call couriers. Dissapointing that the online sales said items were in stock, when they didnt arrive I had to contact store to be told that the supplier didn't have them due to manufacturing fault. If they had them in stock as advertised then why did they need to order them in from the supplier??!! Took nearly 3 weeks to arrive despite online saying items would be with me in 3-5 days. Am now having to wait for electrician to rebook fitting, so hope the lights work!

Hi Beth, I'm very sorry that the delay has caused disruption with your project. The items are listed as in stock at the supplier, with a delivery estimate of 3-5 working days. We order the items in as a special order, however on doing this we were later informed that due to a fault recall, the supplier had to wait for new stock to arrive before we could fulfill your order. We Endeavor to contact customers as quickly as possible to notify them if there are any delays, however on this occassion you beat us to it. I can only apologise again. Quite hard to give a review when you haven't received the goods yet ! In Fairness though I was called a couple of days after placing order to be advised that the goods where out of stock and delivery would be 3/4 weeks
