“My husband bought this for a gift 2+ years ago. Never been able to keep it signed on to the internet, the system has done 4 Bios updates, it's a worthless POS. Will have to cave and get something else. Wouldn't even move all my items from the last computer over because of all of these issues. Yes, could have sent it off while under warranty but I paid for a NEW computer and had a lot going on in life and didn't want to have to remove all my files before sending it back, as suggested by experts. Now if I upgrade the warranty they still "reserve the right" to charge me for the previous problems anyway, even though it's their previous problems.”
“š”š”Lenovo is deceiving customers, and I am sharing my personal experience to highlight this. I received my laptop from my college, and the adapter stopped working even though it has been less than a year. Since my laptop was under warranty, I contacted Lenovo's customer service. They asked me to send pictures of the adapter and the laptop connected to it. After two days, they responded, saying that the serial number of the adapter does not match the laptop's serial number.
However, I received the laptop fully sealed from my college, and the college provided me with the matching serial numbers for both the laptop and the adapter at the time of distribution. The same issue happened with my friend, and Lenovo's customer service gave her the same response: that the adapter's serial number does not match the laptop's. This problem has affected many other students as well, and Lenovo keeps giving the same reply every time.
How is it possible that the adapterās serial number doesn't match the laptop for so many people? It seems like Lenovo is using this excuse to avoid solving the problem, and they are deceiving customers.š”š”š””
“Lenovo is garbage! I just bought one less than a year ago and it already refuses to boot up and when I do manage to get it booted up, it will not get on the Internet. It will not update, it will not do anything. This is my second Lenovo, I bought the second one because I had such a good experience with the first. Never again these computers are trash.”
“Lenovos are the worst laptops everrrr... I wasted almost 1 lac rupees over this stupid machine. I have always been a HP user and 6 months into buying this device, I'm regretting it so much. I should have stuck to HP. The number of times I've to restart this laptop because it hangs so much... My four year old HP works faster and better than this. The cursor disappears as and when it pleases and so do the icons on the task bar. This is the stupidest machine ever. Please do not waste your hard earned money on Lenovo. I've learned it the hard way, I'm helping out the future buyers here. Stay farrrrrrrr away from brand. It's worthless.”

1.0 out of 5 stars they lie about battery life. Can't due 3 hours just runninga video

I went to Lenovo site and say 8-10 hours battery life. I travel to develop[ing countries where there are regular power outages so battery life was very important to me. I hadn't traveled in a while but when I did I couldn't get 3 hours. I was well under warantee, arranged to send it back. They replaced battery and mother board. GOt it back no change in battery life. Sent it back again, with a letter saying to test and if it didn't have at least 5 hours, don't send back. It was returned they claimed with a new battery, same less than 3 hours (and sometimes during that it turned on batery saver. I didn't even have sound on and took screen shots of time, date and battery life. If you need more than 3 hours, don't buy. Other than that it's ok but as sd thought it would be faster loading.”
“Worst Experience. Fraud Company, I have brought Laptop from Lenovo Store sales person told me if i buy additional warranty in 3000.00 and I will get Curved LCD with Gaming Mouse only in Rs. 8600.00 so i have paid them. So i have paid them Rs. 11600.00 additionally but After 4 Months They refunded 8600.00 and told me you will not get LCD and Gaming Mouse. Lenovo is completely Cheater.”
“Iāve always used Lenovo computers for my business and purchased them for my three kids as well. However, Iām very disappointed with their service this time. I ordered a computer, but the shipping was delayed twice, and then the order was canceled. I spoke to three customer service representatives, but nobody was able to help me.”
“I will never purchase or recommend Lenovo to anyone. I received two laptops (original and replacement), neither of which would connect to my WiFi. I spoke with 5 techs (I paid for premium support) and nobody could figure it out. I returned both at the beginning of August, and per their 10 business day return policy I should've received my refund by now. It's the beginning of September and I've been told 5-7 more business days several times. I would recommend buying their products with extreme caution.”
“This is the worst laptop I've ever had or used in my life. It's extremely slow and the mouse cursor disappears constantly. I used to be able to restart it and get the cursor back, but now it does not reappear. Please do not waste your money on this brand.”
“I have had my laptop for some time now, out of all of the laptops I have owned it would have to be the worst performing laptop ever. It is slow, the battery lasts about 2 hours it is just all over bad.”
“I purchased a Flex 3 touch screen chromebook on 8/9/23 and by June, the cover has fallen apart at the hinges. I can't even open it without it completely falling apart. Lenovo said the hardware is not under warranty. I am out of luck with my back and forth emails and phone calls. Don't buy this chromebook. Model 82T30012US”
“I purchased my IdeaCentre AIO 3 All in One Desktop in December 2023. On July 19, 2024, the computer would not connect with WIFI. I called Costo where I purchased it. Troubleshooted for about 1/2 a day, including a factory reset. Nothing worked. Started all over again with Lenovo.
More down time. Lenovo Customer service sent a box for me to pack up the computer and send it in for repair. That took 3 days to arrive. On July 29, 2024, I sent it through Fed Ex Ground to Houston for repair, where it remains today.
Estimated completion date -- August 22, 2024. Then return through Fed Ex Ground, which will take another 3 or 4 days. Total down time: over one month for a computer that is about 7 months old.
I never had this problem with Dell or HP. Won't buy Lenovo again.”
“My short review would be: 5 stars of mediocrity for Lenovo.
I bought a laptop from Lenovo that has more problems than anything that I ever had. In less than a year (bought in November 2023) it has failed 5 times. (It stops powering an unable to start)
They collected for repair all the time, and it would apparently come back functional, but would not last more than a month, or sometimes even a week or two. It has come to a point where I feel that I am working for Lenovo as a test engineer and providing/ unpacking services, all for free. I have been wasting my time and never managed to do what I had planned to do with the PC.
I asked for a refund many times, and they refused to do it, insisting successive sections ārepairā.
In their last attempt to repair it, they were claiming that the PC was out of warranty, but they were going to try to repair it again as if they were doing me a favour. Meanwhile, the PC was supposed to have a year warranty, but it basically never worked, and it hasnāt passed a year yet.
I am not going to extend the review much longer, but I would never, ever, recommend Lenovo to anyone.”
“I thought this was an awesome laptop until it just stopped working, no warning. Never dropped, never mistreated, always used with caution, not even 3 years old and I was told it is not fixable. I will NEVER purchase Lenovo again.”
“Computer connects to our network but has trouble browsing internet. I have to refresh several times before getting to a website. I'm 2 weeks outside of the return window and they won't do anything. Life gets hectic sometimes and it's not always feasible to get to things in the window. No flexibility on returns even with the issue. Now we're out over $900. Won't be buying from them again.”
“My 15 month old Ideapad 7i Pro developed a few problems - camera stopped working, brightness toggle keys on the key board would notfunction, chrome got shut off automatically many times midway while using, touch screen not working smoothly. Lenovo customer support's solution was to take it to a Bestbuy to get it fixed as it is a hardware issue and the laptop was out of warranty. Luckily, I bought it from Costco and called their tech support who, after asking me a few questions, asked me if there are any updates pendng. I saw that I had a pending windows update. As soon as I did that, the camera and the brighness problem were resolved. If I had relied on Lenovo support, I would have wasted precious time and money!”

**Disappointed with Lenovo Flex5 - Constant Issues and Annoying Updates**
I recently purchased the Lenovo 14 Flex5 D4IN R7 16GB 512S laptop on EMI for around 70,000 rupees, and I am extremely disappointed with my experience so far. I had high hopes for this device, but it has been nothing short of a nightmare.
**1. Endless Updates:**
The most frustrating aspect of this laptop is the incessant updates. Every day, there's a new update notification, and if I don't install them immediately, basic functions of the laptop start malfunctioning. It's like I'm forced into a never-ending cycle of updates, which is both time-consuming and annoying.
**2. Audio Issues:**
One of the most irritating problems is that the updates seem to disable the inbuilt sound of the laptop. Suddenly, everything goes mute, and I have to scramble to figure out what's wrong. It's ridiculous that such a basic feature is being affected.
**3. Browser Hijacking:**
Despite setting Google Chrome as my preferred browser, the laptop keeps switching back to Microsoft Edge. It's incredibly frustrating when I have to repeatedly change my default browser settings. It's as if Lenovo is deliberately trying to make Edge the only usable browser, which feels like a violation of my preferences.
**4. Buggy Performance:**
Each update brings its own set of bugs. Instead of improving the laptop's performance, these updates seem to introduce new issues. It's like Lenovo is using customers as guinea pigs to test their software updates.
**5. Privacy Concerns:**
I can't shake the feeling that Lenovo is spying on its users. The way they push their updates and force certain settings makes me question their commitment to customer privacy. It's like they prioritize their agenda over user satisfaction, which is deeply unsettling.
Overall, the Lenovo 14 Flex5 D4IN R7 16GB 512S has been a massive letdown. I regret my purchase and would advise others to think twice before investing in this model. Lenovo needs to seriously reconsider their approach if they want to retain customers. This laptop feels more like a source of torture than a helpful device.
