“As always with Lion products quality and service was very good. However my recent delivery of mount boards was quite badly damaged on one corner of the package which affected all the boards. Although the outer box seemed quite sturdy, there was a large tear which affected all the boards on one corner.”

“Good speedy turnaround from telephone order to delivery.The order is also always well packaged.The catalogue is well presented and easier to understand than other framing supply catalogues(apart from the mountcard section). The natural wood mouldings I order very rarely contain knots .The occasional pack of Smarties is a nice touch! The only real criticism is you stopped supplying Liberon pallet dye....I guess it wasn't popular.And you don't supply large sheets of glass ,which means another framing company gets my money on that,I would rather order from just one company and get everything I need. I'm not a professional framer,I frame my own artwork and am self taught,so more tips in the catalogue on such things as floating a print( using double sided acid free tape or acid free glue)more on conservation framing,staining and waxing wood etc is always helpful. All in all ,good!”

Dear Martin, Thank you for your review and order. We have stopped stocking the Liberon pallet dyes unfortunately but we can recommend the chestnut spirit stains as an alternative. They are solvent based and come in a variety of colours (pg 100 of Lion 53 cat). Glass is a collection only item due to their very fragile nature. “pros: prompt service; good brochure and website for ease of ordering; rapid delivery service via Tuffnels cons: damaged or otherwise sub-grade (ie. seriously warped) mouldings are too frequent, ie. the damage is hidden under the wrappings of wrapped sets, not sustained during delivery”
