“I discovered The Little Hay company when I was looking to switch over hay companies. The quality of hay went downhill with the company I used before. I am always really impressed with the little hay company's hay. It's fantastic quality and you always get big long strands, which my bunnies love. My bunnies also love the 1kg mystery forage boxes and you always get a great variety of flowers, leaves, sticks and dried fruit/veg.”

“Ordered some samples which were bigger than expected and came along with a small heart bowl which was such a nice touch! Guinea pigs loved the hay!! We found they weren’t eating much from a store brand so we wanted to try something new and they absolutely loved the Timothy Hay & Cotswold Sweet! So we ordered the starter pack and am so impressed how lovely everything is! Came so quickly and well updated with deliveries! Would highly, highly recommend!”

“I've a very fussy bunny who will only eat the cotswold sweet hay, and I find it's a great product. Only issue I have is postage price to Northern ireland, it never used to be as expensive. I now find I place a bigger order so for me the prepacked bales are easier to store. I had to get the hay with added parsley and coriander as the plain one was out of stick in the 4kg bale, both my bunnies loved it and I love golden butt nuggets from the hat.”

“Been ordering form The Little Hay Co a few times and I was always happy however I'm not happy with the last order - Alfalfa Hay. I have received a box full of dust rather than hay. I'm not sure if that's how it was supposed to be but my rabbit was unable to find even small pieces to be able to chew on it. On top of it, I was supposed to receive free palm bowl which in the email I received said that it will be added free of charge to each order but unfortunately nothing. I will probably order again as other hay is quite good quality. It's a shame that this time, I had to throw the whole box to the bin tho.”

Alfalfa is not a grass hay so it will not have long strands the same as a traditional hay would. Alfalfa is more like a clover and so very leafy. The leaves are where the plant keeps the nutrition and this is why we leave them in the mix because if we just sent out the stalks there would be less nutritional value to your pets. These natural characteristics are what make Alfalfa unique and different from hays in the range. I am sorry if this wasn't clear enough in our product description and I will look to make changes to this if necessary. We understand that this may not align with what you were expecting, especially if you’re used to a different type of hay. I have refunded your shipping charge to compensate for the missing free gift. We truly appreciate your understanding and hope you might consider giving our product another try in the future. If you have any further concerns or questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly.

“I recently placed my first order with The Little Hay Co and was absolutely delighted with the products when they arrived. I was particularly impressed with the fruit and fibre forage box. It was packed full of goodness, smelt absolutely amazing and my piggies love it. The products were high quality, competitively priced and packed well. “From Customer Services (lovely Maisie) through to the Products everything is A* I have one Rabbit (large) and have tried a variety of Hay overtime introducing slowly of course. He's settled on Meadow Hay and Cotswold Sweet. Little Hay has had a tough year one way and another! but always kept in touch and updated Customers re their orders if there was a problem. Delivery is a bit expensive but if you're able to bulk buy it's worth it. Thank you Little Hay for always putting Pets first. Lynda and Harry. 🐰”
