I was really looking forward to tasting the lo dough but unfortunately it was like eating polystyrene. Wasn't expecting it to be exactly like a wrap but was as far off as I could imagine and especially for the price! Was expecting a lot more..sorely disappointed.

Too expensive for two pizza bases rip off

Hi Stuart, Lo-Dough took 2 years to develop, uses expensive premium quality ingredients and is produced using an incredibly complicated and time-consuming production process. Each batch taking 8 hours to make. We feel all this goes to make Lo-Dough a truly revolutionary product with a nutritional composition, texture and shelf life unlike anything else on the market. The price is in no way deliberately set to make Lo-Dough inaccessible to people, it is simply the result of how much it costs to produce. We are working tirelessly to find ways to reduce our production costs so we can bring the price down, and we have successfully brought the price down by 7% since launching and now offer subscriptions of big boxes at a further 15% reduction. Nasty aftertaste, texture like cardboard, Very expensive. Not for me, I will stick to both Livelife and Tesco high protein breads, more carbs but palatable and do not spike my blood sugars.

I had hoped to use Lo-Dough for wraps and pizza bases, but found the foamy texture and slight chemical taste awful for wraps. I couldn’t finish the one I made from 1/2 a round. As a pizza base it was only marginally better.

I made pizzas following the instructions. One could still taste the base despite the toppings, and the base tasted like polystyrene. The base got soggy in the middle. It is a ridiculously expensive product for what it actually is. If it tasted nicely it might be worth the money. I am glad I only wasted 5 pounds on it. I would not recommend it.

Was really excited to hopefully find a low carb low calorie pizza base as I love pizza! However the base tasted like foam and the texture was the same, even with several toppings on it was tasteless. Really disappointed 😟

Thought that I would see what it was all about and I have to admit that I was very disappointed - VFM was unacceptable - very small! The taste was bland. I will not be buying this product again.

Ah Sorry - I really didn’t like this - taste and texture very processed - bit polystyrene-ish. Amazingly low carb and may appeal to others- especially if you’re bored of wrapping things in lettuce or miss pizza! but not for me thanks

I thought we’d give lo dough a try, never again, it was the blandest weirdest thing I’ve ever eaten! I can only liken it to what I would imagine polystyrene would taste like!

Very disappointed in this product .. it was totally tasteless also when warmed up it was even worse with a consistency of cardboard . Will not purchase again .

Oh dear. This product had so much promise but after cooking with it in several ways and trying it straight from the packet I can honestly say that rather than enhance flavour it suffocates it and far from edubly enjoyable. What a shame, great idea tho 🙁

I took delivery of my second box and they tasted incredibly salty compared with my first a number of weeks ago. I contacted customer services who said the recipe had not changed but they would be pleased to despatch a new box straight away and provide me with free postage to return any remaining products from the original order. Delivery was promised by 25th May. I am writing this review on the 30th May and have still not received the new box or any instructions on how to return the original product.
