I had an awful experience with a Cashier named Dora at the Mancheter NH location on Elm St. She is very rude and then defends herself by saying she is not rude. Yes Dora you are extremely RUDE. I will no longer shop with Market Basket. I see Market Basket has poor reviews and I understand why and believe me it's not because of my review only it's because they need to seriously learn Customer Service Values and not just stick a body in there to cover short staffing issues ! They need to hire people that can treat others as humans.

Today is 5/23/24, I went to Market Basket in Maynard store 087 around 12:37pm. I bought mango ataulfo 2 days ago and it was bad when I pelled it today. I asked the Cashier to exchange the bad mango for a good one. She called a supervisor, an older lady. I requested the exchange again and the supervisor asked for a receipt. I didn't have it, but I haven't had problems at this store returning bad produce without a receipt. The supervisor flatly said no, and when I insiste she said you have to talk to customer service. So I went to customer service. They asked me about the receipt, I didn't have to receipt. She asked me when I bought it, it was 2 days ago. Finally she gave me a good mango. But people (employees at Cashier they are about 4 peoples, they speak spanish, they talked about me while I was at customer service). I felt upset. And I went to customer service again explaint my feeling. Actually I wanna talk to the manager. But the mánager was not there or hiding. But when I was in the car they charged for 4 mangos, should 1 free because 1 exchanged. I went back to customer service and returned all. When she was done with transaction (refund). I said thank you. But she didn't say anything to me and didn't look at me. I was waiting finally she said have a good. I walked outside and I think she want to talk about with another customer service. I was looking at her again and she said can I help you? Very bad employees, very bad attitude. I know Market Basket is a budget market. Cashier ñame: Elida R (this person is really bad). 2 Customer service inside the room, 1 is ok but another was bad attitude (the person who did refund).

They have plenty of Good, Fresh Food and checkout is quick. The only negative is we Feel they should have better fish on Fridays

First of all I'd like to start by saying that everyone that I encounter that is an employee in Market Basket is always friendly working hard and happy to help! Secondly I stopped buying Market Basket snacker crackers because they just weren't cooked enough and they turned really mushy really quickly in My Soup. And even when I had peanut butter on them as a cracker they would fall apart. Well I tried buying a new box for the first time in a long time and I was very pleased to report that they were cooked dark and crunchy and they were delicious I don't know if this is something that you have changed or if it was an accident that I got to the Box but I will buy another box just to check it out. There was a point where I did complain about these crackers! Love Market Basket love their employees. God bless

Arrived home and had dinner and then unpacked purchases only to find that the lady who packed the groceries had put a smelly cleaning product in the same bag as food items. The young woman never stopped talking to the cashier the entire time she was filling my bags. Cashier's name on cash register tape: Venait. Baggers really need to learn how to separate food items from cleaning products and they need to stop the constant chatter in their foreign languages to the cashiers as well. . It is not only extremely rude, it leads to mistakes being made. Also, it would also be helpful if they were taught to put milk, eggs, butter, cheese and frozen products in the same bag--especially when warmer days are coming and items can melt in the heat.

The Market Basket provides shopper's with the best prices around & quality is pretty good. With that said, I have cone to the conclusion that if you're a single shopper only buying a fewitems, your business is not appreciated or welcome. They continue to place the small red baskets at an inconvenient spot. You will need to search for a basket. I personally will not use the big carriages so I buy only what a I can hold in my hands. I've mentioned this to management & was told they don't leave these baskets near the doors because people were stealing them. Isn't that why they have security cameras? No, they'd prefer to inconvenience their honest, paying customers. I wonder how many others have just decided to spend a few extra dollars at a supermarket that values my business. What a shame.

Started going to mb in biddeford when it opened and became a fan of the best steak bomb I ever had today went to westbrook to order a couple of sandwiches and no one even spoke English I'm done with Market Basket!!!

I love the professional friendly service, selection, freshness, cleanliness, the wonderful energy these stores make. This is an ultimate experience for grocery shopping. I go to Market Basket every time I can. Continue the super excellent work. God bless.

The Cashier Krishany and manager where So fantastic Today Saturday 20th I was in the 12 express lane and she stuck to her guns when there was a shopper behind me me with 100 items pointing his finger at her saying, you threw me out of the last line, it was not her fault. She was fantastic.

Lowest prices in the area. But beware, check the expiration dates of everything. I learned my lesson having to bring back rancid items, or past the expiration date. Employees are often rude, even when they are just standing around doing nothing, if you ask a question, they just walk away, on several occasions. I'm not sure if it's the store, or the lack of accountability of their generation. They seem to think just being there is a reason to get paid. God forbid you ask them to check if something is in the storage room, since none is out in the store. The person asked several people, then ... nothing. It sucks when a handicapped person has to go to a different store because they cannot stock the shelves correctly or check if there is stock. Lazy, lazy, lazy. The only decent employees are the lovely challenged people, in the dairy department. Figure it out, Nashua. Mike DeMoulas is rolling over in his grave.

Cashier was horrible. He did not acknowledge the customer before us or us. No eye contact, thank you or any communication. He was too busy “mouthing” words to the bagger next to his check out .Need more customer service training. Worst cashier we have EVER experienced.

the somersworth nh market basket has some of the most dumbest and snotty and nasty temperd managers and stock people i have ever seen in a super market they have a female stock person there who works in aisle number 4 who is very nasty temperd and is a complete halfwit she needs to be fired also have a manager there who is really dumb and dosent know what he is doing there attiude towards customers is beyond sub par i could train a bunch of baboons to do a better job then the managers and stock people all of the managers at the somersworth nh market basket need to be let go also saw two nitwit stock boys who work at the somersworth nh market basket tossing around large heavy boxes where customers walk they were lucky i wasnt hit by those boxes otherwise we would be talking about a lawsuite take my advice people dont shop there unless you want real bad service

Terrible. Some knuckleheads Must , dislike small trucks or old people. You cant buy 1/2 ton of topsoil no more. Guess have to go to lowes and buy bags . Geez

This store is racist!! Slowly but surely all the employees except seafood deli have become hispanic i have applied 3 times no response but i am caucasion so im not surprised

As a former worker, all I can say is this place absolutely sucks. The managers do not know how to take care of all of their workers one by one. The cashiers in fact love to start drama, especially the teenagers who are lowlife. Oh and the checkout managers love to pick favorites.

I would like to say that I went to the Fall River location (#83) and I had a very unpleasant encounter with one of the managers. I cannot believe how rude she was! She talked down on me as if I was stupid, she rolled her eyes at me and just was overall very unwelcoming. I have been going to Market Basket to do my shopping since I moved here, which has been for the past 6 years. I heard from other employees that she has just recently been transferred from The new Bedford location for reasons being that she wasnt very well-liked and they requested to transfer her, and i can see that also going on here. The same way she talks down upon the customers is the same way ive seen her be towards her workers, she acts very much two-faced. How do you plan to work a department if you give your workers reasons to dislike you? you need to build relationships with them and give them that comfortability, and then maybe things can run smoothly. Another thing that I noticed is her taking a more liking to the workers who speak Cape Verdean, and Portuguese, she'll sit there and chat up a storm with them but she's different from all the others. I am just overall Disgusted by this and i don't think i would be going here that much if this is how its being run. I read her name tag and it said Soreya? or Soraya? one of those.

We were very pleased with our visit to the North Conway branch.Lots of choices and your employees knowledgeable. A young guy and his bagger were so funny.Nice boys.Its nice to see happy employees.

Totally a negative response from personal. I asked for help the woman told me I should learn Spanish and my reply was I believe this is still America she should learn our language. I asked her name she covered her name tag a took off. I was livid after that response. I also have a brother that's corporate in the company. No excuses for that treatment to a customer.

I am not really a fan of market basket, however the prices are very good. Having said that I feel most times claustrophobic in the store , between the shoppers and the endless stocking there is no place to move, let alone think. Also in the Reading store 90 percent of the employees are Hispanic, which is fine to a point, they need to learn English and also to connect with the customers at the registers. Last night perfect example,I took my pregnant granddaughter shopping to help her with her WIC, after that arduous task we went to the register and my granddaughter told the girl there that it was WIC, she never acknowledged her, then I said it again no acknowledgement, just a blank stare!!!! I was infuriated, no yes ok or anything else plus they never greet you. I don't want to hear they can't speak English, they came here we didn't go to their countries, you choose you learn to speak the language of the majority. Some should be done but I know I'll come off as prejudice but I am not. I ask for common courtesy only. I heard that the manager there is Hispanic also so I guess this will fall on deaf ears.

So demoulas is opening so many stores but lack bad in the deli department so there is 5 people working on cleaning instead of taking care of the costumers so sad I'll go 2 stop & shop
