“I like the service of this company, and the choice of yarns is great. However, when I received my last package some of the yarn was in short strands. It seemed that the yarn had been cut at some stage and I had quite a few which was a bit annoying. but other than this I am pleased with the product.”

“I've found Marriner's Essentials range brilliant and am disappointed that it's being discontinued. However, I tried the basic double knit and that is fine, not quite as soft as the essentials but more body. I also tried a few balls of sparkle as that seemed to be the only double knit black yarn available. It seems slighter finer yarn, but not enough to cause a problem using it as stripes. The only yarn I was really disappointed with was the Mermaid DK - I found knots in every single ball, and two knots in many of the balls. Considering I've never found a knot in the cheaper Essentials yarn I was disappointed. I did email about it, and did get an email back, but wasn't particularly happy with the response and didn't get a follow up about the problem which I was told was being investigated, so I would have hoped to hear the result of that. I will be shopping with Marriner again, but I won't be buying Mermaid again until I get an answer about it.”

“Was pleased with colours of wool and delivery was very good. Have been busy knitting and apart from the white wool which had a number of knots in 2of the balls of wool was happy with my knits.”

“Excellent prices, well packaged and delivered quickly. Only tiny thing that made me mark it down a star is that although there are a vast array of colour options, it was hard to put colours together to see what would work well together - it would have been easier if there were samll swatches of the yarn knitted up in stocking stitch (especially for those with varigated colouring/print). This is something that annoys me with just about all online yarn suppliers, so if Mariner's can find away round it, they will be way out in front of their competitors (they already are, but this would take them even further ahead).”

“Most balls where fine but an occasional ball had multiple knotted joins which I was slightly disappointed about as I dont like joins in the middle of my knit meaning I had to undo my work multiple times and knit it again. Fortunately this only happened with a couple of balls and not all the balls of wool. Overall your wool is great value for money and I will continue to purchase my wool from you in the future.”

“i did order mixed colours in double knitting. Usually the yarns are fine thats why I use you. this time i found the yarns were not of the same quality, which was very disappointing for me and my quality of work I produced.”

“Although I like Marriner yarns, it is the first time in a while that I have purchased any as it became hard to find the centre pull on the balls without a huge yarn barf. I was hoping that that might have been rectified by now, but sadly, it hasn't. Marriner, please look at getting this sorted as your yarn is great and affordable, but it is so frustrating when you have to spend so much time detangling it to be able to start a project. Also, a wider range of colours would be helpful.”
