“Wow, I'm surprised to see the reviews here. To be fair, I did have to wait a while for my vinyls, longer than I expected, but they were backordered items. In the meantime, the customer service people I emailed with were super friendly and the response time was really fast, like sub one hour. When my vinyls finally arrived, they were in perfect condition and I am very happy with the price. I would purchase again, selection and price unbeatable.”

“I live in Canada and ordered $170 worth of records before reading any reviews and my heart sank once I did. I received a USPS shipping address the next day that was invalid and thought I had gotten scammed. After 2 weeks I read a reddit review that said the shipping # was actually DHL so I checked tracking on their site. Sure enough DHL had the records at my local facility within 2 days of ordering and were awaiting import duty payment before delivering but did not attempt to contact me to let me know. I paid the import tax ($42CAD, not cheap) and received my 7 records the next day in perfect condition. Merchbar responsible for giving wrong shipping company tracking and DHL responsible for not contacting me for payment. Hope this helps someone.”

“I received my order but I only got the shirt and not the vinyl. They quickly respond and assured me that my vinyl is on its way. I didn't know it was shipped from another location. Thank you for looking into my request. I'll wait and update my review as soon as I receive my vinyl.”

“Honestly, not the worst. I got a Julien Baker vinyl and got it before one I ordered two days earlier from an actual label. They even were incredible with canceling an order I had placed accidentally while checking the validity of a promo code I had. What a lot of these reviewers that are giving them a bad review fail to understand is that they buy from the labels and resell. If the labels’s disturbers run out, that puts your order in back order. Granted, the ones that didn’t receive their stuff at all and not receiving a refund baffle me. My accidental purchase happened a little over a week ago (I’m writing this in the 15th of November) and they took care of it with the label within 24 hours.”

“I just ordered 5 vinyls within the past few days. Im reading these and all I can think is how impatient some of you are. I can understand the ones who waited for months, but the people who are complaining about having to wait two weeks. Get over it. I ordered a custom item off Etsy back in December, and then in June the person cancelled on me after about seven months. So all of you guys need to calm down because I can tell some of you haven't had it that bad. Anyway we’ll have to see if my records end up coming. By that time ill probably have forgotten that I wrote all of this, but it will be here on the web for eternity.”

“This company has a lot of negative feedback. I feel like some of it is deserved and some of it is just frustration with their shipping practices. I ordered a product on them on 12/12 stating it would be delivered before Christmas. Christmas came and went and the package was still MIA. After contacting customer service, I have informed the item the item was in fact a pre-order item and would ship in late January. This information was correct and I received the item quickly after the item actually shipped. I think MerchBar is a good brand that needs to be more open about their products. Customer service could be better; however, I was able to get in touch with someone fairly easily. Not a scam company from my experience, maybe just a company that is slowly growing.”

“Have used them twice.Myfirst order of a CD I had no problems. My second order of a CD which was available on the 30th August hasn’t been sent yet.They tell me they are trying to contact warehouse.Dont know if I should cancel.”

“I had three separate orders and had emailed mailed them 2 weeks after the order to ask what was happening since the order status only said "Processing" and they said they "had unforeseen distribution problems" and all orders are delayed. Was very annoyed they don't let all their customers know that. But ok. Two more weeks go by and the orders are still "Processing" I got so annoyed I just went to Amazon and ordered almost all of them (for basically the same price plus or minus a few dollars) and then cancelled all 3 orders from Merchbar. Never doing business with them again, horrible experience. At least let people know when there are major delays in shipping. Honestly I don't even know if it would have taken 3 more months to get what I ordered but I didn't want to find out. The only thing I can say was decent was their customer service response time, they responded in good time to allow me to cancel cleanly.”

“If ANY of their items claim to be on ‘backorder,’ it means it’s out of stock. They are simply hoping they’ll get it back in stock to send to you, absolutely no guarantee you’ll ever get the item. Weirdly enough, if they do actually get the item back in stock, they’ll send it to you. I ordered a relatively obscure album, and received it randomly six months later. It arrived in good condition, good packaging, about four days after they’d emailed me that it shipped. Its like it’s somewhere in between a complete scam and a genuine service. Steer clear.”

“Cross posted at Trustpilot. The problem with Merchbar, at least as far as T-shirts are concerned. Is that you’ll buy one that’s decent, with a good quality cotton and a good print. The next one will be like something you buy at a beach stall in Mexico, total garbage. Thinking of contacting support? Don’t bother, you’ll get a cut and paste. There are much better options out there”

“Merchbar have some great stuff. They support a lot of my favourite artists and I always do find myself coming here when a new release is about. However I’ve ordered from the twice and hasn’t been smooth either times. First time I ordered two of the same vinyl in the one order, but they only ended up sending one. Second time my order stayed in a “processing” status for a month until I followed up myself. Makes you wonder how someone can lack attention to detail twice a row.”

“I received the shirt about 2 months after ordering it. There was no tracking whatsoever so I was worried that I would get scammed. It cost me 36€ (shipping included) so I had high expectations. I was incredibly disappointed when I received it – the material was cheap and the colors of the shirt were completely different than what I had seen in the photo. It was so overpriced, I can't stress this enough – the shirt I received looked and felt so cheap. I wish I had known better than to order it. If you want to order something from there, try to find another site, especially if it is merch.”

“Charge exorbitant shipping fees and product takes over two weeks to arrive. I ordered a print from them and another company, and the other company for $8 less shipping got their product here (USA major city) within days, both USPS. Over two weeks and still waiting on Merchbar.”

“I ordered a Band T-shirt and after a couple of weeks it arrived. The quality of the T-shirt is terrible. It is harsh stiff cotton and the print on it has an error and looks as cheap as hell. Waste of $60. I should have bought a knockoff from the markets for less and get the same quality.”
