“Mirus put forward 'Gavaghan Jones' LLP as our surveyors based in the Isle of Wight, due to our proposed house purchase being on the South Coast not far from Bognor Regis. Laurie Gavaghan met us there and we discussed some of our concerns along with his findings. His report was very detailed and included a lot of photographs. He identified a few issues with the property, though we decided to proceed. However, for various reasons we became concerned and asked Laurie for an opinion on what appeared to be new areas of concern which were not visible at the time of his or our visit. After listening to his advice, we decided to withdraw our offer. We have since found another property and have used Laurie to carry out that survey also. Very pleased with his help.”

“Laurie Gavaghan did our survey. As this is the first survey we have ever had I can't really comment, all I can say it was done quickly after we applied for it and the report came very quickly after the the survey had been done. What I can comment on is that we asked Laurie a question to which he answered, but when I asked another he completely ignored my mail even though I sent him several regarding the second question which actually was based on the first question. So I don't actually think I got value for money!”

“We were buying an old cottage of 1750 (approx) and were nervous of taking on a house of that age. Sent a detailed email to Clive Rose explaining this,, what we received back after chasing them for the report was lacking in detail and we found it was more of a general report rather than specific to our period property. I raised a few enquiries with the company manager but was told our surveyor had never had any bad reports in all the time he was working for Mirus. We were very disappointed and we would NOT recommend them at all”

“We were moving to a completely new area, and did not know any surveyors so we used this service. The report was very detailed and brought to our attention that there was a fault on the central heating system. Fortunately, it also brought the estate agents attention to the fact, who sorted it out! No complaints good service thanks again.”

“Once had valuation on my house they never sent the report to me and to orbit then I got it about a month later and orbit who I part but part rent off still never got it to this day”
