The best description of their service is a fact that the phone number provided at the website and in their emails doesn't work. They are extremely slow with any response. Almost impossible to work with them. I gave them two stars because they managed to send me a report at the end.

Very quick service and a good price for a Valuation Survey. I am not quite sure if a RICS Surveyor attends your property themselves or if they send someone else to capture pictures as the report sign off and the lovely man (Neil) who visited had different names. I was disappointed that despite saying they would chat through the content of the report before publishing I received a report with no contact and no one was prepared to chat through this only say 'they are not reviewing, this has taken up enough of our time'. Mixed experience, disappointing.

Called about a service they said the offered on their website. Told they don’t offer it and couldn’t recommend anyone that did - basically they weren’t interested when they realised they wouldn’t make money from us! Nice!

Sadly would not recommend - nightmare organising an appointment, surveyor 2 hours later than told & no communication, we also had to chase the report and take additional photographs because the surveyor did not take any of vital rooms!

I was told that part of their service was to take photos of the property, which was done at the time of the valuation, however these never made their way back to the housing company I am selling my shared ownership flat through, when I called to enquire the solicitor seemed put out that he would have to trawl through his emails to find the photos.

Delayed report delivery, which was nearly 2 weeks later than the agreed time.

Survey of 20 Abbey Road Medstead Alton Hampshire Gu34 5PB. Surveyor failed to note that the property had septic tank drainage and advised it was on main drainage. When raised with him he said this was a typing error!!! Having reinspected the property yesterday I was able to inspect the septic tank. There were a number of other matters that he raised, like the locks on the front door, which I found not borne out by inspection. The front door was a modern double glazed door with a locking process up the height of the door. I am not sure what else he expected. He also said that the owner was present and she was not. All in all not very satisfactory!! I had a survey done previously of Dovedale, Goodworth Clatford, Andover which was completed very satisfactorily and I would mark that one Good to Very Good.

I have ordered a survey on the 28th August at Pease pottage and have spoken to Mirus head office asking what they want me to do next as it has now been over two weeks and to date I still have not received the report or any further communication. I have left both texts and voicemail messages to the surveyor who did the survey but to date I still have not received any reply/correspondence. I would be very grateful for your response please?

Our survey missed various key points which ended up costing us quite a bit of money including various leaks with damage to visible timbers, leaks on two flat roofs and unprotected mains electrics running across the grass to our garage which could of been very dangerous. One room has completely moldy walls which would of shown up on a damp test. the property was listed as solid wall but it actually is cavity wall.. etc

We felt that the surveyor did not do a very good job. The report was lacking a lot of the things we would expect to see and a builder that went round two days later picked up on a number of things that were not mentioned in the report. He also gave his personal opinion on the property on a few occasions rather than a professional opinion. We would not use him again

I was very disappointed with what was supposed to be a Full Structural Survey; the surveyor missed the fact there was a significant area of rot in the bathroom floor, despite noting damage to the ceiling below, there was no recommendation for further investigation. The whole floor had to be replaced, at considerable expense to me. If I had known, I would have still proceeded with the purchase, but there would have been some negotiation on price. The garage was also reported as "in a reasonable condition" when the roof is clearly broken and leaks like a sieve.

Communication was very poor after receiving the report and viewing the property we wanted to speak to the surveryor but he never returned our calls.

The survey of the house I bought was full of caution and pessimism, I cried and felt desolate on receiving it. Yet I went ahead with the purchase about 9 months ago. An experienced friend said I should ignore the dire bullet points and that a lot of what this survey was doing was covering its own back in case of serious issues, which might or might not arise. So in this respect I did not find tube survey helpful, just depressing and not really separating the wood form the trees, so to speak, making it pretty useless for someone like myself, ie not conversant with all the technical stuff. Perhaps any survey would have been similar.

We were buying an old cottage of 1750 (approx) and were nervous of taking on a house of that age. Sent a detailed email to Clive Rose explaining this,, what we received back after chasing them for the report was lacking in detail and we found it was more of a general report rather than specific to our period property. I raised a few enquiries with the company manager but was told our surveyor had never had any bad reports in all the time he was working for Mirus. We were very disappointed and we would NOT recommend them at all

Survey said there were no signs of damp, the first winter I was in the flat there was mould all over the walls... waste of money.

We felt the report was more about protecting the surveyor's backside than giving us positive information we could trust about the house. For example the report had a clause which said that there were loose and missing tiles. But no photos were supplied. When we asked for details and locations we received the comment " at random locations throughout the whole roof". That response made us wonder if the loose and missing tiles clause was a standard clause for all reports on old houses with tiles - did the surveyor spend any time looking - we couldn't see missing tiles?
