“Survey of 20 Abbey Road Medstead Alton Hampshire Gu34 5PB. Surveyor failed to note that the property had septic tank drainage and advised it was on main drainage. When raised with him he said this was a typing error!!! Having reinspected the property yesterday I was able to inspect the septic tank. There were a number of other matters that he raised, like the locks on the front door, which I found not borne out by inspection. The front door was a modern double glazed door with a locking process up the height of the door. I am not sure what else he expected. He also said that the owner was present and she was not. All in all not very satisfactory!! I had a survey done previously of Dovedale, Goodworth Clatford, Andover which was completed very satisfactorily and I would mark that one Good to Very Good.”

“I have ordered a survey on the 28th August at Pease pottage and have spoken to Mirus head office asking what they want me to do next as it has now been over two weeks and to date I still have not received the report or any further communication. I have left both texts and voicemail messages to the surveyor who did the survey but to date I still have not received any reply/correspondence. I would be very grateful for your response please?”

“To whom it may concern. I found the service provided by your company in the end was well done at a very competitive cost. The chap that called to carry out the procedure was a very pleasant guy and accommodating. However communications (via email) was quite difficult with your organisation over several days when trying to tie up visit times to suit three separate parties, myself, my tenant and the surveyor. One other thing that could, I think improve the survey would be to officially post out a copy of the survey to the property owner at very little extra costs to youselves. Some how just printing of a copy for safe keeping from an email does not feel as if it is a legal document for use as future proof of property valuation HM revenue. So just a little more time spent by your organisation would go a long way to achieve customer satisfaction. Regards Mr. & Mrs. R.E.McCormack, Bagshot, Surrey”

“A very responsive attitude to my request for an urgent survey. Good and easy communication with the surveyor himself who provided very valuable feedback. The report was very comprehensive and will prove invaluable as we make changes to the property we have now just completed on purchasing. Would definately recommend.”

“The service was average for the following reasons, 1. I had asked for a surveyor in my area Poole Dorset, the surveyor came from Brockenhurst, hardly local. 2. The survey was subcontracted out to a third party. 3. I was quoted £575 + VAT but invoiced £690 no VAT so would not be able to reclaim the VAT element. 4. I asked for specific advice regarding a loft conversion and PV on the roof, neither were mentioned. 5. The survey was done promptly but the report took over a week to arrive and only after I had chased it.”

“Having used this company three months previously for a homebuyers report and subsequently not bought the property as lots of problems were found, I felt happy to use them again. As this property was older and more expensive I decided to go for a Full Building Survey, BIG MISTAKE ! The survey I got back was 36 pages of 'waffle' talking about restricted access to internal areas due to furniture, fittings and personal possessions, it was EMPTY ! It related to stairs and the upper floor, in a BUNGALOW ! A lower ground floor room which didn't exist ! Mentioned some defects and faults but did not say where they were In one section said there were no air bricks, in the next section talked about the air bricks, which are in every wall I wrote an email to Andrewn Mancias who replied that i needed to sort it directly with the surveyor, who I had included in the email,even though it was Mirus that I had paid. The surveyor wrote directly to Andrew suggesting I should be refunded and the survey cancelled. Which thankfully happened I received NO explanation and NO apology which I thought to be very bad mannered and unprofessional I would NOT recommend this company”
