“The jets look amazing! When ordering a plane the service is great where the plane arrives in just a couple of business days.
The down side is the quality of the servos and landing gear. Almost all FW servos jitter to some extent, the landing gear is very fragile and the retracts lately have been unreliable.”
“Focus is on expensive jets and models. The 1400-1600mm warbirds need more options. Would like a 1400mm AD-1 Skyraider, Brewster Buffalo, Wildcat, Hellcat, Mosquito (Refresh/Renewed), Hurricane, Tempest/Typhoon, Mig-3 or 9, P-40E/N, P-47, etc...”
“The interest in the hobby took a nosedive a some years back. As being the northeast aerobatic champion some years ago, I’ve watched the decline and our club had launched a campaign to get the public’s interest by hosting a day of flying ,food, and fun for all. We hosted well over 100 families and it was a great success. Donations from myself and club members to some of the largest to the family owned hobby stores all giving to help promote our great hobby that I and we love so much. This is why I recommended my friend to Motion RC this is his beginning of his flying hobby . You have some very good aircraft with extremely quick assembly times . I just wish more had the desire and interest. Oh, by the way he’s 65 years young .”
“Ordered my first kit from them and also purchased the recommended electronics to complete the kit. There are no instructions for the kit in the kit and the online version keeps letting you know that the pictures and instructions are for a previous version of the plane that don't seem to match the current version. The battery that they recommend for the plane doesn't fit in the cavity for the battery (too long). When I sent back the batteries so that I could get a refund they sent me a gift card to MotionRC rather than refunding my money. They currently don't have any batteries on line that will fit and haven't changed the recommended battery in their on line listing as of this writing. I am waiting for new batteries so that I can actually try to fly the plane so can't speak to the flight characteristics yet. Somewhat disappointed in the whole event chain right now.”
“I have a total of (9) jets. Two are Freewing, two 64mm Stingers and a 4s 70mm Vulcan I upgraded to 6s. The others are FMS. Freewing tends to have a better-quality product although there are planes FMS produces that are fantastic too. The selling point of Horizon Hobby is pricing, and shipping. Their shipping is fast, and well-priced. Motion RC is horrid in terms of shipping time, and triple the cost Horizon Hobby is charging. USPS can get items from Illinois to Arizona is two to three days. Motion routinely takes a week or more. Despite that, Motion does have benefits that meet my hobby interests. More ARF products, items like the Vulcan 4s that allow paint work I ilke to do and personalization. Both have decal/labels weaknesses and I prefer to do my own detailing. HH doesn't have that element. I believe Motion could do really well offering a cost effective ARF product line that builds off of the 4s Vulcan concept. At any rate, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend either product to colleagues.”
