“1. The landing gear had to be shortened to clear the wheel well. 2. The motors did not fit the predrilled holes and nut plates on the firewall. In the past 24 months Motion RC technical support has gone down hill. Your maintenance tech had no idea how to resolve the motor issue or the ldg. gear issues. The kit was basically a good kit, but the supporting parts did not line up / fit with the kit requirements. Very disappointed with Motion RC.”
“Lack of warranty on planes. A lot of people like to build there planes in the winter but can not test fly them until spring or summer. Often problems are not found until the test flight. So 30 days is not enough time.”
“You have forgotten about the little guy,it seems you have gone to high end rc everything.Park flyers have gone to the wayside..unless you have several hundreds of dollars to spend there is very little to choose from. All your big stuff needs rc airfields to fly so for me the sport has gonna be a thing of the past and that sucks”
“the lag of technical data, like for example missing dimensions for a landing gear, motor or a spinner and such, the current system is good if you are just looking for spares on a certain motion-rc plane but if you wanna customize your plane or change something on a different one, you are totaly lost. its sad to say that but even HobbyKing or Banggood have better part desprictions than your shop. regards Thomas S.”
“The products are good but the customer service is not on par with Horizon Hobby/E-Flite. Recently, my friend and I both purchased a P-38 Lightning. We were both surprised by how short/tight the servo cables were and how the blue integrator box was twitchy: I had trouble getting the ailerons to respond on the bench but after much shoving and tightening got everything to work. My friend, who has built and flow planes for 35 years and has served as an expert witness in lawsuites involving RC planes and helicopters, was unable to engage ailerons once in the air. He had no choice but to purposefully crash the plane as it was leaving the flying field. Given my experience with the ailerons and the blue box on the bench, it is likely that the box failed. He contacted Motion RC who were not willing to even sell him a fuselage/boom at cost. I appreciate that planes crash for many reasons and that often it is pilot error. However, customer goodwill goes a long way. When I lost a drone a few years back due to loss of GPS lock, Horizon Hobby sold me a new drone at half price - a good compromise between customer satisfaction and prudence on the part of the company. Thus, MotionRC sells fun stuff but do not expect much support once the item leaves their warehouse.”
“Maybe not a fault of Motion themselves , but on my order of the 850mm P-51 , #411839, the esc did not work ! ! Robbed one 30amp from another plane , it worked !”
