Just over 2 years down the line, our expensive 2 seater ,covers faded arms out of shape. Even though it was very looked after , no wonder you went out of business ?

we ordered in store told the item was in stock, we paid full amount. That same week we found it was cheaper on line so asked for the amount refunded. Delivery took a month because they only have fortnightly deliveries, went to pick item up from shop , then manager played dumb about the refund, when we said we would take it further she finally after a month sorted it out. Not good , very lacking in info and customer service, get your act together you have lost another future customer

Only part of the covers were ordered, due to staff using the wrong code. The fabric for the covers then went out of stock, so we needed to chose new fabric. From our first order to actually receiving covers it took around 4 months - the covers were ordered for a specific event, which they were obviously not on time for. This was overall an incredibly frustrating experience.

We are still waiting to receive our sofa even though it was a store model on display. We were told at the time of purchase we would be updated the following week as to when we could expect delivery (this didn't happen). I rang 3 weeks later and spoke to another employee who promised 7th June delivery. Yesterday the Cheltenham store called to say our extra covers were ready for pickup...I then advised we had no sofa so she called the Manchester store to check on delivery. They then rang me to advise they couldn't say which shuttle the sofa would be on either Wednesday,Thursday or Friday. Not good enough!!

Delivery 2 months late. Poor communication. I was told weeks after placing my order that my choice of detachable covers wasn't available.

I wish I had read these reviews before buying an armchair from Multiyork, instead we believed their own advertising! After less than two years the tops of both arms on the chair started to collapse inwards, after I complained Multiyork sent a repair man to look at the problem and repair it. When he took the arms apart I saw that there was an approximately 10cm gap between the wooden rails on the top of the arms covered only by thick cardboard!! The cardboard had collapsed causing the problem. How any 'Master Furniture Maker' could consider this setup to be suitable or long lasting escapes me. The repair guy added two extra rails on the top of both arms, then covered them with new cardboard! The chair is still not completely right but Multiyork will not do anything more. Do not buy any upholstery from this company thinking you will get a quality item!

I have had an Imogen sofa and chair in leather for about 8 years. I have always been disappointed with it because the leather on both seats and back is, and was from the start, rippled and creased, as if it is not properly filled. I changed the inners (at substantial cost) a couple of years ago, but no improvement. It does not resemble the lovely firm and smooth sofa that I was told had been on display for 10 years in the Manchester store. It is not attractive and I would not buy Multiyork again.

I ordered 2 York Sofas which morphed into Lavenhams since I wanted the York with Back Cushions. After parting with a lot of money and waiting some months my sofas arrived and whilst they looked ok, they are singularly the most uncomfortable sofas I have ever had the displeasure to sit on. I phoned to complain and they reviewed my sofas but no, nothing wrong with them from a manufacturing and quality perspective so they are not going to do anything else to resolve my issue which is that the sofas are throwing you forward and are very uncomfortable. I have had to resort the ombudsman which they are not even a member of, even though at the time of my complaint they had the audacity to refer to them on their complaints web page. I now hate these sofas with a passion and they are so uncomfortable I dont use them at all and have reverted to my old sofa. I would NEVER recommend MultiYork to anyone as what you sit on in the shop is not what is delivered to you. They changed part of the spec, again not what was in the shop or shown on the webpage and was told thats the design now. They are arrogant and dont listen to your issue. I told them the sofa was akin to a park bench and they recommended that I purchase a firmer cushion...........seriously, like its not uncomfrtable enough. None of my visitors want to sit on them. It is a nightmare. I only wanted what I ordered with the same comfort as experienced in store. You would have thought that was easy enough. DO NOT BUY anything from this company. There is absolutely no value for money and no one listens to your complaint. I will certainly never buy anything from them if they were the last place on earth.

Be aware! Don't buy patterned fabric with a 52% linen content. It's not that the fabric will fade in sunlight but will cause a neutral background colour of fabric to darken making it appear grubby. However the blue flower pattern was ok. Hence, there is a distinct line on 2 of my dining chairs where the chairs were tucked under the table with the top part and the side exposed to sunlight darkened. The other chairs were of different toning fabrics and do not contain linen and these are perfect! I was not advised of this on purchase otherwise would never have used this fabric. Customer Services not interested now I have to have 2 replacement covers made.

Fabric on sofa is `bobbling` after only 9 months. It has been inspected and deemed `normal` and, we are told, given time it will gradually dissipate. Our lovely new sofa looks as if it is 9 years old, not 9 months! Customer service has been appalling. We will never shop there again and would recommend you buy your furniture elsewhere - John Lewis and M&S are far superior for quality and customer service.

We were convinced to by the stain guard for our chairs as we have young children. After my sons 6th birthday there were a few stains on the chair which they refused the deal with as they said that they were caused over time, basically calling us liars. Multi York refused to help and refused a refund on the service that they sold to us. never will I buy from them again.

I have had a couple of multiyork sofas for 3 years, both have worn very badly despite very little use as we don't get to sit down until gone 9pm each day. They have both lost their shape and are very uncomfortable to sit on. I have written emails to customer service twice and not even had a response. I followed this up with a visit to the Harrogate store where a man took my number (although not as eagerly as they took my £5000 for the sofas) and he said someone would call. That was 3 mths ago. I am guessing they are not going to bother. Avoid their product and their service. It is poor at best. I will have to replace their sofas soon, before these I had an IKEA one I bought for £500 and had for 15yrs. A far superior product. It was less worn when I got rid of it than these are after just 3 years.
