“The stamped out print was so small it is extremely hard to read or identify. Would not order a second set.”

Thanks for your review. Our tags are made according to era specific military specs, and the font can indeed be hard to read for some people, especially the debossed font. If era specific authenticity is not important to you we recommend using the modern embossed font, or even the extra large embossed font to make the tags easier to read.

“I thought you would put religious preferences on the tags I guess that is not what you do to make it like the tags that are issued other than that they are good”

Hi William, I see you ordered a black paracord sheath over a brass necklace. Could you please email us an let us know if it is the paracord sheath or the brass chain that is leaving the mark? Also, the chain you should have received is 30" long which is quite a long chain.

Hi Ronald, Our blank dogtags are made in the USA from 304 Stainless Steel that will never rust and comply with modern military specifications for strength, thickness and size.

Hi Ben, thanks for your feedback. All of our tags comply with current mil-spec thickness of 0.4mm of 304 stainless steel. This is because the metal needs to be thin enough for the letters to be embossed through both sides of the tag, if it were any thicker it could only be engraved or stamped on one side.

Hi David, Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with us. The tags we sell meet the current military specifications. Over time the specs have changed and tags are not as thick as they used to be. During WW2 the army regulations called for about .025" thickness. Current specs are .016" +/- thick. Depending on when and where your tags were issued and who manufactured them there is a lot of variation in the tags. We have been trying to source thicker military tags to better serve customers like yourself. Thank you for your military service.

Hi Jonathan, Thanks for your feedback. As indicated on our website our replica WWII Navy tags are laser engraved rather than stamped as original tags would have been. Nevertheless the shape of the tag and the font are still close enough to satisfy most people's requirements. We are not aware of other Dogtag manufacturers that make exact replicas.
