“Got painter Alex from MyBuilder he gave me a reasonable rates he did my kitchen and hallway, very good job that was done in two days he is very respectful and hard working I would recommend him anytime, he is coming to do more work at my place as soon as I am ready.”

“I met with NS decorating Services (Nelson Smith) who gave me a quote for decorating the outside of my house. We agreed a start date and Jim and his colleague arrived on the due date. The work was completed in a day (I already have double glazing) all rubbing down, thresholds and outside cupboard doors painted as agreed both to the front and back.. All in all a very good job which was undertaken mainly my Jim who worked in the high heat of 23/24 July. All credit to you Jim a good job under difficult circumstances. Many thanks.”

“Decorator came in time to give quote and arrived on the day on time decorated the stairs living room and dining room . Very competitively priced to say it was quite short notice.very happy with works completed. And I felt happy to leave the keys with him whilst I went to with would recommend and also use in the future 👍”

“Alexander Sharples (mobile: +44 7496 095593) came to my house to fix a shower problem on Tuesday 5th July 2022. He didnt fix the shower problem - problem still remains. Also since he completed the job on Tuesday 5th July, water is leaking through the ceiling from the bathroom to the kitchen. Also water is leaking from the boiler. There has never been any water leak in the house prior to Alexanders. Alexander wanted cash payment so Id paid him £180 cash at his request on Tuesday. Today Alex has told me hes too busy to come back to fix the shower and water leakages. Now I have to find a reliable plumber to fix the problems & water leaks caused by Alexander. I’ve been ripped off. Im having sleepless nights. Alexander had good reviews on mybuilder.com but i believe his reviews are fake.”

“Mybuilder is a Ripoff company, invoice for none exciting job have No customer vetting to stop tradesmen from being ripped off. No tradesmen customer services. The worst company I've ever dealt with in my 30 years as a professional tradesmen. Mybuilder is only interested in filling thete pockets with tradesmans money. Avoid at all costs”

“We have just had a job done by Joe Calladine who laid some flags for us at the front of our bungalow , he matched the design with an existing one and made an great job of it. We have had him do some work for us before and he always comes when he says and while he's working he does not use his phone nor does he have any calls he just keeps working . He makes a superb job and is always polite and helpful as his sons are also. I would certainly have him back to do any job for me without hesitation . Very satisfied. Jackie.”

“The refund policy on shortlist fees is extremely strict and the customer service is terrible. I recently had a customer shortlist me the second I expressed interest in a job, before I had chance to send a basic rates/availability message. I sent my usual message and with no other chance to communicate in the day she just told me later on she had found someone else, no explanation, no other traders interested in the job or shortlisted for it. I complained to the site and they were totally obstinate and uncaring about my perspective. I am a sole trader and not doing massive jobs so the shortlist fees are already pretty high, and if I'm going to get shortlisted and rejected because the customer found someone on a different site, I'm making significant losses. If the customer hasn't used the site to get their builder, surely I shouldn't have to pay the site in that particular case? The customer service person was not sympathetic and just churned out policies instead of having a conversation. They obviously don't care at all about tradespeople and just in it for the money. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they created fake jobs and shortlisted everyone interested before not replying to any in order to cream a bit extra from tradespeople. I'm sure they can't be any use at preventing poor trades or cowboys from using the site, so I imagine it's not good for customers either. In addition to this the shortlist fees seem to be calculated in an unclear and sometimes illogical way. Based on items the customer does or doesn't tick one person listing a job could find a shortlist fee triple that of someone who didn't add as much detail for the exact same job.”

“We were lucky enough to find a fabulous farther and son team to complete a substantial makeover of our back garden . We have nothing but praise for SMT Building and Landscaping, Bedlington, Northumberland. John and Shaun responded immediately to our request to come and view the work we wanted done. They gave us a fair quote for the extensive work to be carried out and a start date, which we gladly accepted. Nothing was too much trouble, they work non-stop from arriving to leaving each day, and they cleaned up each afternoon. They went above and beyond in all aspects of their work which is meticulous and professional. We cannot recommend SMT highly enough and have absolutely no hesitation in saying that anyone looking for a builder/ landscaper/fencer in the northumberland area need look no further. We have already got other work we would like John and Shaun to do for us. Thank you so much Shaun and John we are over the moon with our makeover. You are stars **************”

“Problem with leaking guttering. Needed attention asap. Contacted My builder. The response was rapid. John from JG Roofing contacted me within a short time and discussed the repair . John arrived the next morning on time, gave me a fair quote and the guttering was repaired there and then. I was delighted and would use this service again.”

“Roots to Crown Tree Services. Oli Francis reduced height and crown of large willow. He did a good job for a reasonable price,which included the permission for a very fair price. He removed all the debris and left the area tidy.”

“I needed a washing machine fitted. Roger de Beaufort responded and fitted it the same day. I have used it and there are no apparent problems. He also had to overcome unforseen problems which were dealt with no fuss. From my experience I would recommend this man to anyone. Price quoted was as paid. All around excellent job”

“Gary Marshall seemed like friendly helpful man over the phone who is putting himself out for me and i understand we have all got bills to pay and I'm more than happy to pay the price he asked when i next get my money paid in to my bank account and pay it through my online banking account, i have been panicking about this so i really appreciate those men coming out from Dover.”

“Poor workmanship. Poor service. Incomplete work. Broken promises by contractor. Little or no support from My Builder. The only advice given was to next time take out insurance as My Builder was unable to intervene and taking legal action was not advised due the low cost of work”

“My wife and I just had work done by Dan from As Diamond House Ltd bathroom renovator. Thrilled with the quality of work done and how respectfully he treated our home.
