I got an order as part of a Christmas present which was ordered 12/12 and had no further info provided. I don't mind delays but being told they're happening is a good step to take, and I never heard anything from Hermes for a week. After contacting the seller out of hours I was provided an update saying delivery would be attempted between 19:00 - 21:00 on 20/12. Delivery was apparently attempted twice while I was in the house so I don't know if they've employed members of the USS Enterprise to phase into my house without noticing, only to find out they had told me they were unable to deliver at 21:17 the same day. I've had no further word and I'm looking to cancel my order. Please do yourself a favour and avoid them like the bubonic plague.

Just joined a fb group of over 12k people who have/are having problems with Hermes- especially right now around xmas. It seems plenty of xmas presents won’t be delivered in time including mine- been left on a delayed note. I hope this year more people will say something so the company will change! Avoid! And sellers please stop using Hermes!!

Local driver, WR7 4RR tells us that he has tried to deliver but nobody in. Several of us have CCTV . He has been nowhere near. Whst id happening to our parcels?

Bad experience is putting it mildly. The business model and operation of this company is so bad I don’t know how they haven’t been forcibly shut down. Customer service is mostly bots, if you do manage to speak to someone (you’ll have to do the legwork to get a number because they don’t publish it on their website- warning sign!) you won’t get very far. There is no telecommunications between departments, everything done via email- so good luck with an urgent complaint! They constantly need badgering to get their finger out and even when they finally do they fail to deliver (literally) and you’re back to square one. They have had my parcel for 2 weeks - it was on a next day delivery- do they care? Of course not, the company is so disjointed there is no accountability. Heading into their official complaints procedure but if its dealt with the Hermes way, I imagine I will need to take my complaint to the Postal redress service. Cannot stress enough how much you should avoid this company!

Gutted I had to give them even 1 star ... waited 4 days now for a next day delivery .. dont give me rubbish that it's Christmas and your busy cos its 52 weeks in the making you knew it was coming ... it happens all the time your a joke of a courier company and should be put out of business that would save a lot of people the heartache of having to deal with you company

It is my opinion that 2 parcels I sent on 7th Dec 2021 were stolen by Hermes or their representative. Hermes Customers Services are just as culpable and are useless to say the least. Please stop using Hermes. I will never buy from sellers who ship with this company.

Driver did not ring or knock, left a card which had not been filled in. Card No. not recognosed by Hermes. Can not contact. Previous problems too. No card, parcel left randomly a few doors away. Also a parcel for a neighbour containing restricted items (kitchen Knives) left on the door step to our shop in the middle of town! Delivery for a neighbour (2 large & heavy boxes) left on my doorstep when I was out even though the neighbour was in. Completly irresponsible & incompedent bumbling idiots!

As always, they cannot handle the workload around Christmas time. It's been 4 days since they collected from the local pick-up point. The shop isn't taking anymore parcels until the backlog is cleared as it's a fire and safety hazard for them. They maybe cheaper, but cheap is not always best. Ridiculous and very unprofessional company.

Hermes UK ... how can 1 of your drivers say i wasnt home when i watched him sat in his car taking pictures of my parcels with my fence CLEARLY in the picture then turn around and drive off, your an absolute joke and i intend to take this to higher places, its about time you lost ya license and got shut down !!!!!!!! The only reason you have 1 star is that 0 isnt an option

The worst delivery company I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. Being told they have tried to deliver a parcel 4 Times now and no one has been there when the delivery address is to a business centre with a receptionist until late. Then you try get hold of them and You can't.

Contents of the package despite a full solid cardboard outer must have been dropped or thrown with some force to damage the contents I've tried to get through to Hermes to claim on the insurance I paid extra for. There's no one there except a machine. You can phone them on their very iffy £6 a minute premium line. Will ne er use again.

The agent decided to deliver the parcel to the doorstep of the wrong house, photographed it in the hope that the buyer or seller would not recognise their mistake - the door was blue, when the customers is brown. The parcel is now missing. Hermes insist it's delivered despite my protestations and keep telling me it is '100% resolved'. Well, it is 100%, not. The customer does not have it, as you left it unattended on the threshold of the door of your choosing and not mine. You cannot ring or email Customer services and after several rounds of Digital Dorothy I am no nearer getting someone to understand that Delivered, means to the Customer. Absolutely, disgraceful service. If you value your time, do not use as you will spend forever trying to get a refund.

My parcel is on priority delivery, which I’ve paid for! So why is it sitting in a depot and not out for delivery? OK you have sent me a message saying my parcel is delayed, that doesn’t help, it only adds to the frustration as you have not updated when this is now due for delivery. No doubt you’ll blame it on covid and Christmas. Not good enough, you should employ more staff and deliver the service I’ve paid for.

I spend around 250 parcel with in 2 weeks and spend around 800 pounds try to contact with customer service no response no one answers call no one give me details of my parcel I can't believe how they exist on trust mark unbelievable wrost services

The best I can hope for with my local hermes is that stuff arrives very, very late, often after I've already had a refund from the seller. Latest "delivery" was "out for delivery" for 4 days then suddenly became "undeliverable". Other couriers have no problem delivering on time. Why is hermes incapable of doing it? I'm shocked that hermes is an approved courier for amazon. I'm looking for alternatives as I'm sick of relying on a totally unreliable courier.

No delivery, of item for Xmas present - 3 days later no change of status or contact. Chat says it's ..on track.. call centre can't recognise track no., even though chat can. Proper couriers have a response system. Can't remember how many bad experiences I've had with Hermes. Rubbish.
