“I was with this insurance company for two years and firstly, I think the whole premises of having to have a black box and keep your driving scores high, and then not even gaining any sort of perks from it is an absolute scam. I drove consistently at an 8/10 score for the entirety of my policy (the only reason it wasn't a ten is because you get penalised for driving late at night, I have a full time job and sometimes work nights but because I'm young, driving late at night obviously equates to me driving unsafely) and instead of receiving money off my renewal quote, they wanted to charge me nearly £40 pound more a month! The app is outdated and hardly any of the features actually work. I received little to no communication about my policy ending other than a renewal quote, nothing saying that because I hadn't renewed my insurance would be cancelled, or what to do with my black box or anything along those lines. I'm dissatisfied and frustrated with the company and would strongly advise taking out a policy with them.”

“Dreadful experience, pray on younger audience.......if you do proceed you need to FULLY understand the terms and conditions. The ethics are questionable at the very least. My advice is STAY AWAY and pay a little more for piece of mind.”

“AVIOD AT ALL COSTS, I wish I had read reviews first, They cancelled my insurance after two months, on predicted millage having no prier notice from them or an option to buy more miles. I will be taking this all the way, how they operate is unlawful and they pry on young people who have had no experience with insurance or millage.”

“Thieves basically my son cancelled his policy after 10 months and they charged him 800£ for that . When you call them you get different statements what's the money for. Scammers!!!!!!How come they are legal!!! Cancellation fee is 75£ and they want 800£ when I requested managers call back they said there is nothing they can do so no point talking to anyone???? Ridiculous. Save your kids and don't let them having insurance with these THIEVES!!!”

“Set up a policy, had to change occupation and paid extra plus admin fee. Now they are demanding more money on top of another admin fee for them not making the change”

“Absolutely disgusted with this company .😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡My 18 year old son had the policy for 10 months . They cancelled it the day he tried to buy more mileage. I phoned and was told that was it end of policy . Not only did they charge him £70 he also lost 2 months insurance. I spent the day looking for a new policy . None of them would insure him because of the Cancellation. I found the only one which was £2500 . So I would not recommend this company to anyone . Absolute ar*****es Just out for vulnerable youngsters money . My son didn’t know . Don’t we all make mistakes sometimes 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡”

“told me if i had a black box for a year my insurance would go down. the next year it shot up over £100 more when i have had a year of no claims and my driving was always 10/10. They tried to cancel for me needing more miles when i didn’t need more miles! do not waste your time complete scammers they just want your money. useless company useless workers 😂-1000/10”

“My son has his car insurance with them, he went on 1 long journey. They called him to say he's predicted to go over mileage and he had to pay a further 180 or they would cancel his policy. Sadly at q9 he felt pressured to pay. I experienced similar eorh this company on house insurance when I tried to claim. Pay that bit extra and go with a reputable company. Do not waste your money with these.”

“Absolute joke of a company. Been trying for well over 2 weeks to contact them to renew my policy. I have 3 days left, since their office is closed on Saturday and Sundays... Been well over 12 hours worth of phoen calls, yet to pick up and they don't even tell you where you are placed in the queue.”

“Disgusting company, regret every minute spent with them. Expensive and no way of contacting them, I started as 50th in the queue to get on hold of them and after 2hrs I'm 5th, awful service do not recommend them!!!! STAY AWAY”

“Disgraceful Disgraceful, so where do I start… I was quoted with a insurance policy over £2000 a year as it was my first insurance ever… they are really good at getting their money but their costumer service is poor. I will never recommend mypolicy to anyone. So I was involved in a car crash. I wasn’t at fault but I never got my got money back in full even though I only had the insurance for about 4 months. The motor legal cover is scam. They gave me a number that wasn’t even the correct one… absolute joke honestly. And their charges to add miles to the black box are so expensive as well… I should take you and AXA insurance to court. Done nothing in my Behalf apart from taking my money, and even asked for extra money after my car crash. When I didn’t pay for that extra money they simply cancelled my insurance. And didn’t refund me with the 8 months that I hadn’t used! Disgusting By the way they are a insurance broke, not an actual insurance company, so you’ll actually be insured by someone else… Mypolicy only deals with the money side of things.”

“Avoid at all cost. Scammers who are taking advantage of young drivers. Taken policy out for 17 year old as had good reviews on trustpilot, 3 weeks in no black box available due to no slots for area then when fate came through unfortunately engine light was on and he refused to fit box. They wouldn't extend policy so we're told to cancel policy we are now being asked to pay the £949 due which they never said when we cancelled the cost they gave were £75 cancellation fee plus £53 cover over 19 days this they were repaying £105 back but only received £50 what a total joke of a company will fight this as has ruined and caused alot of stress in what should of been a more happy time”

“Telephone service is horrendous. The installation for the black box was fine, but when the item failed they cancelled THREE TIMES with no notice. When the box was finally replaced they left my car in a mess. This insurance company has caused me nothing but problems from the start. I will NEVER choose them again.”

“Buyers aware, this car insurance policy has limitations and is not a like for like policy with other insurance companies. I recently discovered my policy is limited to 2000 miles. I paid £395 in total(£250 insurance premium + £145 admin fee) for my policy and I can only drive 2000 miles, after 2000 miles the policy terminates unless you buy top up miles. I have been advised that for every 1000 mile top up I need to pay £450. I normally do 5000 miles per year, therefore this policy for the year will end up costing me £1750 in total based on doing my usual 5000 miles. I normally pay £400 per year with other insurance companies with no mileage limitation. This policy is an absolute scam. When speaking with 'mypolicy' they justify these £400 per 1000 miles top up based on my driving style. I have only had the policy for 42 days, despite the initial insurance premium costing £250 for a 2000 mile allowance, to top up another 1000 miles is £450. When questioning them on my driving style, they said my driving style was very good at 8/9 out of 10. So how do they justify the cost of £450 per 1000 miles top up? Then the advisor mentioned it might be based on the locations I am driving to, they have an answer for everything. I would avoid this company, I have 13 years no claims and normally pay £400 per year with no limitations. This company want to charge me circa £1750 for 5000 miles. It is an absolute scam and it is geared to extracting as much cash as possible form the customer, it is highly unethical and bad practice. I have also been told to cancel my policy today I would only receive about £150, despite me paying £395 and only doing about 300 miles in total in 42 days of service. That equates to receiving a 38% refund, while this company keep 62% of my money for very little service. I recommend you report them to the FCA, I will be.”
